Yeah,I also appreciate the fact that the lyrics are more personal and emotional - it kinda reminds me of her first three albums. NICE CHANGE! I strongly wished she would just slow down a bit and voila...SHE REALLY DID!

Delicious n Bold 29th November 2013 06:42 AM

Alien is my favourite song on the album!
Britney is actually giving me some emotion, I'm very impressed. And impressed that she had a slice in all the lyrics.

toLOVE 2nd December 2013 02:53 AM

Part of me like the album and the other part don't like the album, lol.

Alien (sooo beautiful), Body Ache, Til It's Gone are the best song (in my opinion).

SURREAL__RAINBOW 2nd December 2013 05:46 AM

Muuuuuch better than expected, but not as good as Femme Fatale. Britney Jean is kinda underwhelming. And why in the hell does william have to put his crappy vocals in every damn song!? Rather annoying.

AyumiAi 2nd December 2013 07:54 AM

i like that britney is being more personal and all, but the songs came out pretty unmemroable for me personally, i liked till its gone, but even work bch wasnt amazing for me.... guhhh was coutning on brintey delivering at least one killer song this album;__;

SURREAL__RAINBOW 2nd December 2013 08:00 AM

Work b*tch seems so out of place too

Delicious n Bold 2nd December 2013 04:40 PM

it IS a mess
But work bitch is a mess so it's ok I think.

Surreal17 3rd December 2013 01:58 PM

At least work bitch has quite a nice message...in fact this whole album is so personal and full of meaning and optimism - I think this is quite a big step up for her..reminds me of Britney album somehow.

Britney Jean = Britney with a more mature approach

marty 4th December 2013 06:06 PM

Britney Jean was Britney trying and, let's say it, knowing Britney I really appreciate that. But it was nothing memorable. Nice, but nothing more.

Chibi-Chan 4th December 2013 07:40 PM

To be honest, it's the best album released by one of the pop divas this year.

NintendoHTF1242 4th December 2013 07:55 PM

PRISM > ARTPOP > Britney Jean

Britney's album was decent, at best. But only a few songs truly stood out to me. Production is on-point, though. Lyrics are awful in a few songs.

happiholic★ 5th December 2013 03:23 AM

Still have not listened to this album. I just... have no interest. Saw her on Ellen, though. She looked great, even if Ellen had to keep the conversation going half the time :laugh

No_Doubt 5th December 2013 03:16 PM

The album is really poor. The only songs I like are Perfume, Chillin' With You and It Should Be Easy. The rest I'm really not feeling.

Artpop > Prism > Britney Jean in my opinion. Feel destroys everything though.

Seriously? I don't know, but it sounds to me as her worst album ever. There is not one single track that I like. Don't Cry seemed promising but then turned into a boring song just like all the rest. Britney Jean is like a bad recycled version of Femme Fatale + Britney. The album is like a filler itself.

If the recorded work doesn't sound as good as the previous ones or even better, don't even release it. I'm disappointed, especially because I really enjoyed Circus and Femme Fatale.

Well... I agree depending on the day, on the others I prefer Bangerz.

Artpop is boring and Prism is generic.

George 6th December 2013 12:29 AM

Oh, I haven't listened to it yet. Didn't even know it was out. Ugh, just not feeling this era at all.

Releasing "Work Bitch" as the lead single for this album was such a poor choice.

TeamAyu2004 6th December 2013 03:54 AM

Ive only listened to half the album and already think its better then artpop.
Artpop was so disappointing for me. Not that thats a surprise.
But its not as good as prism.
Gotta love my Kitty

Poor girl. I knew she was a damn mess but not letting her use the internet? Dang...

Andrenekoi 6th December 2013 06:29 AM

I really doubt she won't know her sales and the charting life unless she doesn't want to. There's no way to control the information at that level.

And most media that trashed the album pretty much trashed all of her albums... She got a lot of bad critics just for being Britney Spears, and I really doubt that would surprise her at this point.

Some of the reviews were pretty nice, actually:

Even though we're in the middle of a pop-princess pileup this winter, with Miley, Katy, Gaga and more elbowing for room on the dance floor, Britney remains the queen who out-bangs, out-booms, out-bizarres them all.

Spears' eighth album is a transitional record, just like her third album. But whereas 2001's "Britney" found Spears -- no longer a girl, but not yet a woman -- feeling her way toward adulthood and the candid sexuality of club life, "Britney Jean," her first album released in her thirties, is a subtle shift away from frantic bangers and into more forthright songwriting.

As a musical reintroduction, certainly, Britney Jean offers as much grace as anyone could have expected.
And also, this:

Brit swerves back with a disco banger that could be described as "gayer than gay," except that doesn't even hint at how gay it is. Every time she barks, "You better work, bitch," you know every bitch in the room works harder – it's like a bitch sweatshop up in here.
