This way, I'm keen to see the Showcase concert on DVD all the more.

I don't think rollin' is playback...

truehappiness 23rd May 2014 05:22 PM

Wasn't rollin' one of the songs where she missed her cue or something? In A3D, she didn't mess up.

Oh, I remember now. She sang "I don't remember the lyrics... lalalalala iwanai de" instead of "koso ga shippai no hajimari datta nante"

yeap she messed up the starting part in the regular version and they took the other dates for the A3D blu ray. I still love the regular version more =) she looked damn happy after screwing up the lyrics lol

Wasn't keen on the previews but I'm pretty pleasantly surprised with the full versions.
NEXT LEVEL is one of my fave Ayu albums and I've wanted her to put out an upbeat, electronic release like that for ages. At the same time, it sounds different to NEXT LEVEL so I appreciate her approaching things differently with all the new international producers :P

I get this won't be everyone's cup of tea but it's exactly what I needed to revive my interest in her :D

I wonder how the Japanese public and her fanbase will take to this?

EDIT NOW & 4EVA sounds like a LOVE again leftover to me

truehappiness 23rd May 2014 05:34 PM

Judging from comments I have seen so far, they seem to think it is pretty 'cool' and reminiscent of NEXT LEVEL's flavor. A lot of people don't want Urata in What is forever love though, lol.

Also some general track lengths:
XOXO, Lelio - 3:30~
Angel, NOW & 4EVA, What is forever love, Hello new me, Merry-go-round - 4:30~
Terminal, Feel the love - 5:30~
Pray - 6:30~

Total album length is around 47 minutes if this is all we're getting.

Err rollin' was live... Sparkle wasn't.

The best way to 'impress' me is just balanced tracklist - that's why I really like 'Party Queen' - cute song, dance-electro, rock, epic classic song, one ballad. Everything at its place. This album is gonna be mostly electronish, just like LOVE again was balladish.
You like Party Queen? LOL

That album's a flop.

Lelio is just so good *-* pretty much energetic! What is forever love is a beautiful midtempo!

Wow can you not? What's wrong with enjoying Party Queen? It honestly wasn't even a bad album, and the album is probably one of Ayu's best albums in consideration of track listing and flow.

Party Queen is the best thing that could have happened to her career, flaws included. This album works so well, especially with the context and the "opposition" with Love songs, it's full of meaning and good ideas !

hahaha..some people just dont geddit...it's alright :)

Did I say something's wrong with enjoying it? : D

That whole era was a flop, I mean literally. Total drop in sales, meltdowns everywhere and a general opinion of it being bad (though now people who hated PQ when it was released are suddenly liking it). Finally Ayu's becoming good again with this album. <3

tenshi no hane 23rd May 2014 05:51 PM

^ You're welcome to hate something, that's your opinion. But don't mock others for liking it. (Which, yes, you did with your "LOL you like that?" attitude).

Anyhow.

I loooooove Lelio. I'm trying not to overplay it :laugh I wish I knew what the hell she was saying, though. "Get a-a-a-at you"?

I really interpret comments like these as pretty hateful towards fans. And I am so done with that. Eventhough it may feel like we are not easily to please, why is there a need to be cynical when the majority is actually satisfied with her new material? It's not true that Ayu is adapting her style, or go 'all mainstram' just for the sake of her fans.

well i guess it depends on how you interpret things, but i personally was just being cheeky/sarcastic maybe, i'm no hating on anyone lol :P It's just funny to me that's all xD

_____

this album, taking out a few tracks is just a mainstream for me. Basicly what everyone today is doing. I'd take PQ over this anytime, because i loved that one, but um...i dunno really. Since i got into namie i might end up liking some of the stuff on Ayu's as well. i don't know, i'm just confused.

I can understand "flop," but it's the fact you wrote "You enjoy Party Queen? LOL" acting like it's a bad thing he enjoys that album.

Hey, it made me laugh! Laughing is healthy. I see my post had a negative implication though, sorry. :9

I love Ayu's recent material but it could still totally flop lol. We'll see.

Just curious, How are these tracks leaking anyway? The album is still a month away. Is this an intended promotion...

I personally liked NOW & 4EVA, Terminal and What is forever love
NOW & 4EVA : i loved the chorus melody part with the 'Sakende..' thingy
terminal : sounds like the kind of trance that i loved around 2008 era. Still need to hear in full
what is forever love : somehow this reminds me of a Madonna song in Confessions on a dance floor. A bit oldschool and nostalgic and slightly sad. I loved it!

Very curious on how these materials will blend together

I guess the tone of your post got lost through the internet, lol. But yes, to stay on topic; thoroughly enjoying this era.

BlackSilence 23rd May 2014 05:59 PM

^^there are radio rips and i think that fact that they are dowloadable in full on mu-mo by phone for TA members is what is the cause of "leak".
