OMG, she's still screaming instead of singing in Departures...

She seriously kills Hanabi these days, just compare to flawless 2005 or 2006, I wish she wouldn't perform it anymore, it breaks my heart to hear it with those vocals :(

I think the problem is she's screaming, not singing.
I remember her singing Because of you so perfectly on some MTV awards many years ago, actually singing, not shouting. OMG, how beautiful it was. And all those Because of you performances from recent years ruined by screaming... So sad. I was hoping that this new vocal training would help, but it seams she stopped screaming only during some songs, not all of them.

oh my god guys... we all love Ayu and I agree she is absolutely amazing, but when I heard those twitteruploads her vocals seriously frightened me. It is horrible. Defend you star as much as you want, but nothing in the world could convinche me she sang well at a'nation. When I saw the Tour I wished I could have been there. Now I am ashamed that these performances are broadcasted. Sorry, but she did a terrible job and killed every performance that you can watch in those twitterlinks in a very bad way.

Summer diary, finally!

Ok guys ayu singing summer diary... And for me ayu's voice is better than last year a-nation and the video that we got from osaka broadcast... And ayu's car is comeback at ajinomoto stadium...

The beginning of the set was booooring. Those first two songs only use the recorded music, there's no live band. So it's very flat. She doesn't have her own DJ mixing on stage so it's just super boring. Because the sound quality wasn't there.

Also I've been saying this for what seems a while now...but I wish she'd start off with her encore songs! She's been picking some dull openers lately :-/

From Departures I thoroughly enjoyed it though :) Hanabi was lovely~ Seasons was sung well too! She was very energetic and lively.

By the way its low quality. I was in the stadium today. She is fine... I just want to say what i heard... This year is better than last year for sure.. At least she sang it live... Even another performers is not perfect.. Guya what do you expect from an outdoor venue like stadium?

It is really the low quality! On youtube, it does not sound like screaming at all.

I haven't seen many comments along this line of thinking but I totally agree...Wake me up was a really poor choice in this case. It's just...boring? There's nothing compelling about it, she's kind of doing her weird dance for half the song while the instrumental music plays and Kazu is being ~locked up....literally no one GAF.

If she'd come out with something like Rule, however, and started things off with a bang, it would be a different story.

See thats what i said, even artist who do lipsync will also sound bad in the low quality.. Even in the stadium... She sound so so much better than last year... Thats why you guys should stop complaining when the video that you get is really2 low quality... What do you expect from low quality?

Even from the low quality previews it seemed to me that her voice is better than the first 2 days.

And I just want to add that of course her vocals won't be flawless immediately after she took vocal lessons, it takes some time to improve.

Yes this is true... And one more thing if you want ayu to sound perfect, pls give ayu your perfect ear.. Don't forget ayu lose her hearing on her left ear...
