I watched the cdtv special and she has put on a lot of weight, (not a bad thing), she is also wearing makeup that makes her skin look shiny

There is possibility that she photoshopped (like everyone else) these pictures. She is no stranger to using filters also, that is why some people are saying that she looks different on video, picture or in live. She definitely had somekind procedure (botox, fillers) on her face, and she gained some weight, but still she looks stunning for her age.

She's 39 not 69, jeez

I admit her cheeks looked uncomfortable at the CDTV special but haven't since, weird, i think AYU does a bit of temp cosmetic procedures

I think the same. In the last pictures.. she looks very strange... and sometimes like a doll. I don't like what she is looking now.
In the last half year it seems she getting a lot older. I'm sorry. I have no idea, what she has done with her face, but she really should stopp it.
But ok.... until her songs are good...I'm still a fan. Her music is important for me, not her looking.

But I actually came back to this thread just to say that I finished watching the video, and I absolutely loved it. This video actually shows why I am all Team-Ayu since the beginning, and never quitted doing so.
She's amazing.

But in 2008 she also gained weight during the tour and didn’t look so “tightly” plump in the face. She still has a lot of curvature and angles to her face but it’s like too sharp. Hard to explain but it’s like her face is made out of playdough and someone pinched and pulled and molded it. Her jaw and everything is very angular and sharp but like juiced up in the middle of her face lol.

She used to look artificial in a good way, like her beauty was just unbelievable in the sense that she looked so naturally stunning. Now it’s like she’s pretty but in the sense that you can tell it’s due to work she has had done. Like she looks like a reality tv housewife. Lol.

IMO she looks way more bloated than someone who toom procedures. I would bet its due to her knee injure medicine.

I guess it’s like, in the past even if it was rumored she had procedures, they appeared to be merely to enhance and draw attention to the beautiful features she already had. Now, it seems like she’s having things added to her face, and changing rather than enhancing.

It looks like she is using fillers to sculpt her face shape into something different than her natural contour. Looks like her upper cheeks and chin are getting plumped up. It's most visible when she smiles.

I think that if she were to do something drastic she'd have to take time off to recover. I don't really see anything major going on :shakehead

I don't see it. Other than her weird cheeks, that seem to have now vanished, she looks the same. Ayu is beautiful, if her beauty isn't good enough for some people, well then, their delusional standards are not her problem.

i dunno people what you're talking about, she looks the same to me *shrug* She sometimes has weird photo angles. That's about it.

Yeah again this discussion about how she looks... what bother me the most is how people keep comparing her with how she was 10/15 years ago like if she was not allowed to age even a bit !!
To me theses two pictures have been retouched and she has these horrible contacts lens lol

Our body change with age it is not a secret. Ayu is not the same as when she was 20.
She uses a lot of body lotion and can take care of her skin + make up + surely some filters on social medias and that's it.
She's still the same to me too and as artcika said, it is also about angles.

I think it's an unflattering photo/angle and wayyy too much padding in the chest area. She probably did have work done too but nothing major and it's probably mostly just a ton of makeup. What the photo makes me think of is not ayu, but an old woman who got too much plastic surgery and is trying to look young. It's not a good look. I think we all know she can look amazing with a minimal amount of makeup so it just seems like a waste of time to put in the effort of making her look like that. Like seriously, some people probably spent hours on her to make her look like that when she can look a million times better with half the makeup and even just a t-shirt and jeans. :dead2
