OK first of all, I don't think you understand the concept of "American." If a person is born to foreign-born parents, then they're not American? WTF. :rolleyes I'm going to chalk this up to the fact that you're from a homogeneous nation and don't understand this concept.

Well I am getting tired of this anyways. Have it your way I don't care if she is American or Japanese, that doesn't have anything to do with bad sales. I was simply trying to say that unlike BoA, in Japan, Utada Hikaru/Utada is considered one of them. That's all :)

Anyway, I don't see how anyone can say "OMG IT'S FLOPPING" already. Give it more than 3 days, jeeze. :rolleyes And how are you going to really compare it to Exodus? That album was released 5 years ago, nobody sells like they did 5 years ago anymore. And maybe you weren't a Hikki fan back then, but I was, and I remember there was so much Japanese promotion for that album. I wasn't shocked at all that it sold over 500k its first week.

Actually I have been a Hikki fan since 2001, she is the very first jpop artist I started listening to. Sure there was more promo and live performances back then and that is one of the reasons this album is doing so bad for now. And it's not true that nobody sells like 5 years ago, as there are people who sell even better than five years ago. I didn't say it's flopping, just that it's flopping compared to her previous American album which is quite obvious. And the sales will end up way better than most of other foreign albums, just that the drop will be huge compared to EXODUS.
And at least we like the same songs the best: This One <3, Apple & Cinnamon and FYI :D
