for me i never thought NEXT LEVEL as that. I kind of saw it as a ''different level''. and after hearing the album i thought the tour would have a tecno/dance feel to it and we don't normally see that so i thought "well me might see something we might have not seen before''. I do think without a lot of over the top visual stuff she can concentrate on her vocals, but it is possible to have both good singing and good original visuals too. there will always be a point at the beginning where people don't like something but in most part it passes over time and the more info we get the more we most likely will come to like/love it.

Someone said the stage have 6 screens, and most of the songs have different visuals. I wanna see some pics...

The NEXT LEVEL tour have all the NEXT LEVEL songs. What more do you guys want? Be happy that she is still performing.

noidea 12th April 2009 09:05 PM

@ ayulove 18 Yes, she had many performances with amazing visuals where her voice was really good, because she didnt have much more work during performance(like Born to Be...AT06, it had great props and costumes, but the dancers had the extra work, not ayu) I think her voice suffers more from dancing than from the visuals of a performance xD(I mean: how does a great prop, an amazing movie or a special light show effect your voice? but moving very much and being breathless affects your voice)

6 screens...could that mean its similar to AT06? but people would have said more if its that amazing, wouldnt they?

I would like to cry/and or barf at that Real Me rehash outfit with the horrible wig. Her entire look for Next Level from album covers to this tour is absolutely terrible. I declare this her mid-life crisis.

noidea 12th April 2009 09:30 PM

ok, the stairs change colors and theres lasers, fits the next level theme^^

This is pretty RUDE. :no

Lady_Eowyn 12th April 2009 09:34 PM

That's stupid because she's thirty, not 40.

And it's also stupid because it seems that you've got no idea what means to have a crisis.

noidea 12th April 2009 09:38 PM

yeah, if she had a crisis, everything would be way worse, look at what britney spears went through 2007/2008, THATs a crisis!

Luther10 12th April 2009 09:38 PM

Love this picture. I think is the beginning of RULE. :love

ayulove_18 12th April 2009 09:38 PM

now those pics help a lot with the outlook of the concert. It might take awhile to enjoy everything but i think the more hq/glossy pics we get the more happier i might be with everything. I do think she should have her hair down with the rule outfit. the hair seems too plain compared to the outfit.

yes, the picture looks GREAT! It seems the beginning is more powerful than AT08, theres lasers and not just smoke^^

Lee_410 12th April 2009 09:54 PM

YAY GREEN LASERS

But Rule acapella will sound quite weird,I think.

noidea 12th April 2009 09:57 PM

she might sing the bridge acapella? that would sound quite good and then kick in with the first chorus like it was the last

Lee_410 12th April 2009 10:00 PM

^Maybe, but the intro in acapella would sound really blah.

Andrenekoi 12th April 2009 10:01 PM

By the away... people said the acapella thing happened last year... but she used this at a museum too :P

Should I make a topic with everything she recycled over the years on her tours? xD~~~ That would be funny

noidea 12th April 2009 10:07 PM

I already intended to do that(together with a thread listing every playback), but with costumes^^ I just needed to watch EVERY concert before(havent done that yet) if you do it i will help as good as i can^^

love in music 12th April 2009 10:08 PM

i don't get why people here freak out SO much over something as little as costumes for a concert. SERIOUSLY. if you went there and her voice was bad and she looked unhappy or not into it i can understand complaints but jfc a lot of you are being drama queens

Thank you for bringing this up. People have been misinterpreting the title 'NEXT LEVEL' since day one. I swear if someone makes another lame "LOL THIS IS REALLY NEXT LEVEL!" or "EW THIS ISN'T NEXT LEVEL!" pun one more time...

The title NEXT LEVEL has nothing to do with quality like people seem to think. If Ayu was going to make a statement about quality she would have named the album "HIGH LEVEL" or "LEVEL UP!", lol. It's just a step in a different direction. Musically, yes it was different, and was received with mixed results. It was never Ayu's intention to make some kind of pretentious statement about how awesome the album is, so it's entirely your own fault if you have higher expectations than you usually would just because everything has the name 'NEXT LEVEL' attached to it.

THIS

Finally some words of wisdom.
I couldn't put it better myself.
NEXT LEVEL from the beginning intended to be something different and nothing that goes along with being higher quality, musical friendly and bring the tour awesome new level things ayu's fans never saw in their life.
The NEXT LEVEL is purely about the album being different with its songs, the use of electro style and in some use her pop and rock to fit the electro style inside of them.

ayu gets lost in translation for people a lot of times.

WOW :love
