Ooooh I hope you're right actually!

whoa.. one month apart. it feels kinda rushed, but I hope they're all good!

Why would it seem rushed? (Especially when all of the songs are likely to be finished already in the month or so of recording she was doing in Japan.)

IMO, whether something is rushed or not is not indicative of anything when it comes to Ayu. A lot of people love Secret and that was probably her most rushed album ever.

It's rushed to me because the 3 singles are apparently gonna be released one month after another. I think I've used the wrong phrasing, but I don't think I'll be worried about the quality of the songs.

But still, 3 singles in 3 months; Ayu isn't the trendiest thing in Japan now, so I wonder how would the general public respond to this... it might even be a case of saturation of Ayu...

lol, ayu's whole discography is "rushed" if you think about it.

ストロボ・EdGE 23rd May 2010 05:48 AM

It's kinda scary to think that within six months there might be another album :laugh.

She's totally spoiling us this year. I have no complaints lol.

she never had 3 consecutive singles released in 3 consecutive months though. I'm not trying to say it's bad that it's rushed or anything, but I don't want the response to the singles to be negative.

It's something like, say MOON hasn't even sunk in well with the listeners, and then suddenly there's another single... O_o personally I feel it's a risky move, and inappropriate for Ayu at this point of time in her career.

But that's just my opinion, so...

Jwiz 23rd May 2010 06:05 AM

^ Well I'm sure if all of the songs are A sides, at least one or two of them will strike a cord with the public and the project will be a success :D

Tad toooo fast for me :no

Would very much prefer her to release a mini album, or some sort of singles collection thingy (A ROCK or smt?).

Did you forget about vogue / Far away / SEASONS?

She's had plenty of occasions where she's had two consecutive singles too... three is a bit rare and any more than that... yeah, I don't think she's done that since the re-release thing in Feb 2001.

y_nathz 23rd May 2010 06:10 AM

This is awesome !!! :heart
I honestly think with this Asia Tour 2010 sounded impossible but I'm positive that she'll do one on 2011 for 50th single anniversary :heart

I just really wish she would take a break already! I understand that music is her life, but she can still make music, she just doesn't have to release it immediately, especially like crazy... I agree with waterballoon, it's risky. It's great and I can't wait for the singles, but it's like, take it down a notch. She just released an album and there will be three new singles in the next couple of months. I think I just fully comprehended this. It ain't 2001, Ayu.

Ah yes, my bad. Still, 2000 was Ayu's peak year (or in that era), so it's still okay.

BUT either way, no complains about getting a slew of quality Ayu songs :D

Honestly, I think it's about time she started putting out a lot of material again. The whole 2 singles a year + an album with 4 interludes (GUILTY and NL) did not leave me satisfied. I mean yeah, I loved the albums but I ended up wanting more. Now we're finally getting more, and I love it.

You know if these songs were EPIC, this project would be so remarkable. I'm just hoping the best but trying to get that hope TOO high. Maybe I should stay away for a month and come back. Lol.

Stay away! -shoos you away-

I somehow hopes that this 50th single project will blow her sales sky high...

Well there are four versions and the only ones to have done that were the 10th anniversary singles MW and G/D. So maybe they'll make a big deal out of these too and they'll do better than previous singles just like those did better than GUILTY's.

I understand your fears, but people have been BEGGING Ayu to step out of her usual release pattern for ages and this year she seems to finally be doing so. I mean think about it, RnRC came out after the tour started. There were 4 brand new PVs. A free song preview (for the fan club) coupled with the album. Now the song is apart of this massive single project. She's taking risks and I would think the majority would find it refreshing. :laugh But like you I hope she doesn't fail. However, I really do feel like the public interest in her is moderately well enough to prompt success with this project.

Stay away baby! Didn't you say no listening to singles until the album so it would all feel brand new to you?
