They explained in the Making of what the story/meaning is:

GD's girlfriend is very sick but she is afraid to tell him. She tells TOP about her being sick and they think of plan: Making GD believe that she and TOP are dating (because she doesn't want GD to know).
GD sees them together and he and TOP get into a fight blah blah.
Then on the day that GD's girlfriend goes to the hospital for surgery GD isn't there because he doesn't know. Taeyang calls GD and tells him the real story. GD rushes to the hospital where TOP says that he is sorry and that GD's girlfriend really loved GD.
And in the end, she dies.
