Rihanna actually isn't that bad! Her technique is pretty good, but her range is rather small and she has pitch problems sometimes. Katy Perry is probably the worst mainstream vocalist right now.

Ayu definitely can sing now. I'd place her in the better half, maybe best third of the business. Her range is definitely above average and her control is rather good now.

^ you seem to know a lot! It's nice to know somebody that actually knows things! XD

I know it's off topic, but why do you think that Katy Perry is the worst mainstream vocalist right now?

So excited for Kuu's new winter ballad single in December! :thud

KarenPang 4th October 2012 02:24 AM

HALLOWEEN JUNKY ORCHESTRA's HALLOWEEN PARTY has been stuck in my head omg it's seriously very addictive hahahaha :thud

Funny that I'm more excited for this single to get released in less than 2 weeks's time unlike what's going to drop next Wed but I digress 8D

I'm not an expert, but I had some professional vocal training and am interested in the topic, so I'm glad when I can present some interesting information ;)

I mainly find Katy to be...sub-par for her live vocal abilities. You see, singing isn't just hitting the notes or belting a random vocal-run, it's also about harmonizing with the instruments and background vocals, dynamics, breath control...and Katy lacks in all of these areas. She has a very nice tone and generally sounds good on studio recordings, but when you hear her live she's usually all over the place, her notes are off, she is singing completely wrong ones, her dynamics are out of control and she starts screaming...and more often than not she doesn't breath correctly and has to stop her notes early for it.

DAIGO is currently in France :thud

My friend on Crystal Kay's fans/album sales:
She probably buys all her own CDs. What fans?

I died! #RIP

Not to be mean to her, but I found it funny. I actually quite like her. Her voice is very good.
It's too bad that her last album flopped. Listened to it once and it was LOVE. Even though she's not my genre 100%

BREAKERZ - DESTROY CRASHER 2012 & FAKE LOVE 2012

DESTROY CRASHER is 1 of my least fave tracks but eh I'm surprised I kind of dig the updated version xD

FAKE LOVE 2012 is pure lush/bliss *___* , AKIHIDE's voice heard very distinctly before the song ends :luv2

I received my first Mandopop CD in the mail today-- MUSE of Dream by Jolin Tsai. :) I can't wait to listen to the whole thing; what I've heard of it so far, I love.

KarenPang 14th October 2012 04:30 AM

You know it's fun when you have full authority in a fandom such as deciding how to run things via your own terms

Just saying :innocent

"I don't care if progress' PV fitted the lyrics because if I wanted to see scenery while listening to the song I would've gone to Google for that."

aww, so happy for you :heart
at first I find it too trendy for my ears, but its just so catchy (uptempo tracks) that I couldnt resist getting into it and cover art is pure awsomeness!! I have to admit that she's slaying the Mpop world now, she's more exciting than my fave Rainie :no atm

Delicious n Bold 17th October 2012 03:12 AM

BREAKERZ are going Hawaii next March but sorry man no way I'm going to spend a minimum cap amount of 180,000 Yen just to go with them :dead2

I think I go Japan & see their live concerts are SO much cheaper than this lmao

Delicious n Bold 2nd November 2012 05:03 AM

First, Ayu covers Raspberry Dream. Then, she records ASfXX. WTF happened to her voice?
