Her worst album ever, maybe. But it's definitely not THE worst album ever, have you even listened to On And On, Dirty Desire, FYI, This One (Crying like a child), Come Back To Me and Apple & Cinnamon?

Cause yeah if you skipped those and listened only to Automatic II and Me Muero, then it's the worst album ever.

TITO got some unfair treatment because self proclaimed "long time Hikki fans" found that it sounds nothing like her Japanese works.....and to them its automatically bad. It has flaws but it was still the best English album from an Asian artist breaking into the US market that year.

Zeke. 11th September 2010 08:27 PM

^ She already tried "breaking" into the market and BoA's album was lightyears ahead of TITO. Seriously, TITO is **** on the bottom of my shoe compared to BoA's album.

Polyrhythm 11th September 2010 08:30 PM

^Seriously? Was I bashing on anyone? I said her's was the best and its only my opinion. You don't need to come here spewing **** like some wounded BoA stan when I wasn't even talking about her specifically :rolleyes

Misato 11th September 2010 08:36 PM

I´ve never listen to TITO. :innocent

why?

and tbh i do like boa's over hikki's. the videos were amazing, the choreography was amazing, the songs sounded so cool and fresh from her usual stuff. with tito we got one video of her looking sad in 1000 different dresses, and it sounded like she was trying to hard to please the american audience. it was also a step different from her usual music, but not one that really suited her.

OMG, calm down. Lol, I would consider myself a much bigger Hikki fan than BoA so don't say I'm a "stan" - anybody that has a varying opinion on this board automatically is labeled a "stan" or "troll" - it's ridiculous. I didn't even take your comment as a "hit" toward BoA. All I was saying is that in my honest opinion, BoA's album was TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT and given that they were both released that year, hers is actually worthy of listening to and worthy of my purchase! Her's was an actual breakout album as it was her first American CD.
:eviltongu:eviltongu:eviltongu
:irked
:dead2
:rolleyes
:headache
:yes
Lol.

So much people said, that this album is bad. And this was the reason, why i said to myself "i listen to it tomorrow...tomorrow.....tomorrow...etc" XD

But, i bought the exodus album and it was two years in my shelf until I listened to it for the first time. XP

The only song i heard from TITO so far is "Apple and cinnamon".

IMO is a very nice album... it's more cohesive than most of her japanese work, the lyrics are filled of her bizarre sense of humour she never shows on her japanese work and the songs are so damn catchy^^

Kingdom 11th September 2010 08:57 PM

This is the One was okay but it wasn't anything groundbreaking or special. I liked it, but I found it really forgettable, maybe with an exception for one or two songs. I don't even listen to it anymore :(

BoA's english album was really good, but that doesn't belong in this thread. lol

don't listen to what other people say. everyone has their own taste. you might end up really loving it. one reason why I don't read blog reviews is because it's always that person's opinion about the song. If I read a really bad review of a song and decided that I should listen to them and not listen to it for myself and make my own judgment, I might never know if I like it or not. For example. I know that amorphose on here really hates the song "kanariya". I happen to really like that song, It sounds peaceful to me. But if I decided he was right, and the song would probably suck, I would have never known that I myself might really enjoy the song.

Omg. This. This is why I hate reading reviews anyway.

yup. that and the fact that it is her worst selling album ever. haha I think exodus is better because it was more experimental and she did 90% of the work herself. timbaland co-composed only 2 of the songs, and he remixed wonder 'bout for the album, but that was after utada did the song all by herself and finished it. Tito was half composed by 2 european producers to make it american sounding. She apparently believed that would be the only way to do well. Make it sound like what american audiences want. Which is partly true.

That and the fact that Exodus had ****ing kick ass remixes. Really cool single covers, and awesome pvs. Easy breezy was ok, but it was still better than cbtm where she sang while looking sad in a different outfit every 2 seconds.
