Kamenashi Kazuya comments on Yamashita Tomohisa’s exit from NEWS

On October 14th, KAT-TUN’s Kamenashi Kazuya attended a press conference for his drama, “Yokai Ningen Bem“, where he was asked for his thoughts on Yamashita Tomohisa and Nishikido Ryo’s withdrawal from NEWS.

Commenting on Yamashita Tomohisa, he revealed, “During work, he would say things like, ‘I have to do things this way’, so I’m not really surprised about this outcome. My feelings are half-and-half.” Since Kamenashi himself has experienced a member leaving his group, he calmly commented, “If it’s what the members decide themselves, I think that’s fine.”

Kamenashi continued, “It’s not my own group, so I can’t really say anything… but they’ve been active for many years, so they should have a bond that you can’t see. If everyone sincerely believed each other, then I think that would be the answer.” Regarding his own group, he stated, “I don’t feel like we’re the ones left behind, nor do I think it’s right or wrong. We each have a life of our own.”

Kamenashi shared that he hasn’t been in touch with Yamashita since he left the group. “Even if we meet, I don’t think we’ll talk about that,” he said. He also flatly dismissed the rumors about his own withdrawal, saying, “Not at all.”

Nishikido Ryo comments about his withdrawal from NEWS on Music Station

On October 14th, Kanjani8 appeared on the 3-hour “Music Station” special, where member Nishikido Ryo commented on his withdrawal from NEWS.

Although he commented when the withdrawal was first announced, he also stated, “From now on, I want to do my best as Kanjani8’s Nishikido Ryo. Also, everyone, please support the new NEWS, and Yamapi [Yamashita Tomohisa].”

When his withdrawal was introduced once again by announcer Takeuchi Yoshie, he explained, “I’m sure I surprised many people, but there were circumstances with my schedule, and problems because I was in two groups. Also, I was always troubled that I may be causing trouble to both groups.” After his comment, the members of Kanjani8 bowed, and promised to continue their activities.

anyway I gave a quick listen to Tegomass no Mahou earlier on in the afternoon & I have to say the album tracks fit the album theme very well , especially in the beginning

seems that the 1st part of the album has this very magic theme happening & then there're upbeat songs & then the ballads

I need to listen to the songs again before I get my copy either this or next week but so far Yume Tabibito stood out to me

Something about acapella songs is just very *__*

so....now that yamapi will officially be a solo artist, how long will it take until he releases some new music? lol. i still love "SUPER GOOD, SUPER BAD", though. :innocent

i will still miss NewS as in with the 6 members~~ this is still sad even though it is expected that 2 of them will withdraw from the group.. =(

Tegomass’s latest album tops Oricon weekly chart

Pop duo Tegomass, which is comprised of NEWS members Tegoshi Yuya and Masuda Takahisa, released their 3rd album “Tegomass no Mahou” on October 19th, and it’s gone on to top the Oricon weekly album chart for the week of October 31st!

61,000 copies were sold, allowing Tegomass to land their second achievement in topping the Oricon weekly album chart. The first time was with their 1st album, “Tegomass no Uta”, which was released in July 2009.

NEWS Yuya Tegoshi will star in upcoming “Hotarunohikari” movie in 2012

Filmed on the streets of Rome, and a possible love square involving a pure-hearted boy played by Yuya Tegoshi’s (NEWS) are some of the new additions to the upcoming ”Hotarunohikari” movie, reports Oricon.

The “Hotarunohikari” movie is a sequel to the two drama series, which are also based on the popular manga series of the same name. The story follows the love life of Hotaru Amemiya, played by actress Haruka Ayase in the drama series and upcoming movie. A typical “干物女 (himono-onna)”, Hotaru is a professional businesswoman at work, but once at home, she turns into a lazy, beer-drinking couch potato.

It has been reported the movie starts two years after the second drama series, when Hotaru and Seiichi had reached their happy ending together. The couple are heading to Italy to fulfill Seiichi’s dream of going on a romantic getaway to Rome with the woman he loves. During their holiday, however, the two run into another 干物女 (himono-onna), played by Yasuko Matsuyuki, and her little brother, played by Tegoshi, who turn their honeymoon into another chaotic disaster.

Tegoshi’s comment has been released on the movie’s website:

“I watched the first and second drama series and really liked its sense of rhythm. I related to the characters in the first series, sometimes I’d get annoyed in front of the TV watching Hotaru and how ignorant she was at reading a guy’s feelings. I’d never had the opportunity to join a story that I’d been watching beforehand so I was really excited to be able to work with Hotaru and Bucho-san. The atmosphere on set and the production team were cheerful, even the Italian production team were cheerful. The mood on set was exactly like the story itself so it was easy to blend in.”
