I don't want to say tonight was disappointing because we got to see Ayu and have a group picture with her, but the experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I got there around 6:30, and there were a few people waiting outside. I heard what happened the day before with the fans trying to get a ton of stuff signed, so I asked them about it and they said they were sitting in the car parked right by the studio.
I kept looking over at the car and saw rolls of posters, CDs, printed pictures, stuff like that just being moved around. Then one of the guys got out of the car and put a couple of poster rolls against the wall of the studio. I didn't pay much attention but they didn't interact with anyone there.
Stan came outside a couple of times, and when he was standing by the front door I walked over to him and told him I heard there was some problems with people wanting lots and lots of stuff signed. He said it's true and it was because they own a store in the area and wanted to get stuff signed to show like "ayu came to this store!" and stuff like that. I told Stan that we're not really here just to get stuff signed, because it was mostly people that have been here before, and for the people that were new, one or two things would be plenty. Stan said he would tell her that they're here again and to see what she wanted to do.
We just hung around for a bit longer, and Stan came back outside and said that tonight we're doing things differently. He would take the 1 or 2 items that each person wanted signed inside, have her sign them, come back to give them to us, and then Ayu would come out and we would just take one group picture.
Those people had pictures of themselves with Ayu printed on posters, and asked Stan if she could sign them with their names on it. Stan took them without saying anything and then went back inside. Later, Ayu's managers or other staff members came out and they were telling the people outside in Japanese that basically she didn't sign them because they were just trying to use it for an advertisement or whatever. I don't speak Japanese, but that's what Daisuke said. He couldn't really tell me more because they were right there, but that's the gist of it.
Ayu came out looking cute as ever though, and I asked her how she was and she said good. I asked how the recording went tonight and she went kind of "ehhh..." and made that so-so hand gesture, but I said I'm sure it was great. Then I asked her if they are really leaving on Friday, because on the 16th she said 10 more days, which would be Friday, and she said "No, because we're not finished." So they'll be around for a bit longer!
Then Ayu started getting into the car, and they usually turn the car around so she can wave to us as she drives off. We all waved and then the car stopped and she stuck her head out the window and asked if we'd be there tomorrow. I don't think most of us are because it's Thanksgiving, but she said "I'll see you tomorrow or Friday!" and then someone asked what time and she's like "Same time!" and then they drove off.
I just hate feeling that Ayu might feel like she's been taking advantage of by some people who have selfish interests in their hearts. She's so sweet to her fans and takes so much time to be with them and signs whatever people ask her to... and some people want to abuse her kindness and generosity. It really upsets me...
