I personally don't care enough about her to worry about her lyrics.
But this religious crap is annoying.

I don't understand why everyone is always complaining about things that does not really matter. If Gaga wants to sing about religious stuff, then she does it. She can do whatever she likes and feels and gets inspiration from. I think you would hate every single singer who uses/has used religion as a theme for their songs. Gaga is not the only one, you know? :'D

if lyrics didn't matter, artists would adlib in every song, or just not sing at all.

Omg, no. See, I knew someone would say this.

It's not that lyrics don't matter, it's just she has the freedom to use inspiration from whatever she wants. It's not like it sounds like a gospel choir album. She can have each song religion-related if she wants to, it's her album. If you disagree with that, poor you, but try not to bring down everyone else in her thread :shrug

It's not unheard of for singers to choose one theme to use and be inspired by through their entire albums.

And with the people saying "lol she's only doing this to get attention", well, I can think of alot more 'outrageous' things she could of wrote and sang about. Gaga is being Gaga, and it's only the people observing that are saying she's doing it for attention. I just think she's writing music. I don't like a lot of things Gaga has done, but there's one thing no one is really in the right position to complain about - what she writes about. That's entirely personal to her, she's made that clear in interviews upon interviews. I think it's sad that everyone in this thread seems to be jumping on anything to be negative about. Let's save the critisism until the actual album is released, because I'm sure alot of people in here will have some.

Nobody likes the same things and we all have the freedom to say if we like something or not.

^ And I had the freedom to say my opinion :) Seriously, the way you go out of your way to disagree with nearly every post I make is getting annoying. Feel free to continue doing it, but it really is too obvious.

I for one never said her album would be crap, nor did I even mention her album, I just said I was getting sick of the religious themes. It would be different if it stopped at Judas, but then it goes to Mary Magdalene, and there will probably be even more. With all this "news" coming out around Easter, it seems more like a cheap gimmick than anything. But whatever, it's working for her sales.

I just don't understand her fascination with it, but that's probably because I think religion is a crock of (*&^ in general. More power to her if it means more money in her pocket.

People will find anything to complain about. If it wasn't this, it would surely be something else. No one can ever just be happy with the hard work artists put into their albums. Even when an album sucks, they still spent a lot of time working hard on it so the least we can do is appreciate it :rolleyes

At least the song still sounds good, because she did put quality time into it.

To get away from the religious crap, I'll say that I liked Judas more than I did when I first heard BTW (tho I disliked both initially), but BTW is still my favorite of the two.

The songs will probably grow on you even if you don't like them at first.

I don't listen to her songs for her lyrical genius, so it doesn't matter to me what she sings about~

I'm a die hard catholic and the lyrics don't offend me, maybe if some catholics knew how to read they would realize her lyrics are basically just stating she's in love with a man who betrayed her, and it just so happens she wanted to use Judas as the example...nothing wrong with that, they need to calm down already.
