I've gotta say I'm over the whole summer bikini song deal. I'd support it if we also got a new RIVER/Beginner every year as the Fall single too, but I believe Kaze wasn't quite on the same level for that to actually be the case (although I did love it). Maybe if I loved Manatsu more too it would help, but it doesn't do much for me at all at this point. The promo I'm bound to run into everywhere will probably change that though. That is what happened to me with GIVE ME FIVE!, although it's still not a favorite.

Polyrhythm 19th May 2012 06:42 PM

Don't get me wrong.....I'm a fan but wotas make really creepy sounds....seriously they sound like a gang of horny chimpanzees.

Amrai-chan 20th May 2012 08:19 AM

^ LOL now when I hear the song I'm going to think of chimpanzees in the audience.

Fu~ Fu~ and Woo Woo~'s are the best part...kidding. Although I do like the Baka baka Baka part that was there when MaiMai was around.

It sounds a lot more "chimpanzee" like here too because instead of just clapping the PPPH they also do the Hyu~ or in other words during Takamina's part. lol. But that description XDDDD

Anyway, the real focus of that video is Takamina, of course XD Or it should be.

I wonder how the Election will turn out. Youtube views are kind of off. Some will get more views just because they are at the beginning of playlists. Their are other factors to take in to account too.

New School Kaidan is having a thing where you send in how you think the election will go and the winner gets a prize.

http://newschoolkaidan.com/akvegas/#more-173763

Acchan will graduate the day after Tokyo Dome in the theater. It fits. A return to where it began.

Have you guys watched any of AKB Motor Club? Watch the first episode here with English Subs http://vid48.com/watch_video.php?v=SHXGYUAB1Y68 Acchan wrote Talent wrong but she caught herself lol

Or AKB0048? I think the anime is okay so far. I like the jokes.

I will be really happy if Amina gets into senbatsu!

Aspen 23rd May 2012 09:13 PM

Nope, thank god only 1st day results and then the final results, I think they're released about two weeks later?! Hopefully there'll be a live stream of it, somehow I'm really excited this year without Acchan and younger members /fresh faces finally getting more popular :D.

Btw, Shinoda Mariko is -2 :innocent.

The voting started yesterday (May 22) at 10AM. I'm afraid we won't get 2nd day results... There are only three count: first day, middle and final. The final count will take place at Nippon Budokan on June 6. The voting will be closed the day before at 2PM (Japan Time).

I was really suprised with the results! In my opinion there are too many SKE48 on the list... I can't believe some of the girls raked so low or didn't appear (KojiHaru, Rabutan, Oya Shizuka, Maeda Ami, Mocchi, Sayaka, Harugon, Matsui Sakiko, Nito, Sato Sumire, Komori Mika, Lemon) and there are others who had never been in the table and now they have a pretty decent position (Nakaya Sayaka and Nakata Chisato). I hope many changes because if not I'm gonna be really pissed

I hope my YA order arrive on time to vote! I know a vote more won't mean anything but I'd love to participate and give one more vote to my oshi (Amina-chan).

The final show will be broadcasted live on Fuji TV so there won't be an online streaming :(

Amrai-chan 24th May 2012 02:20 AM

^ They won't give middle of election results like last year. Only the first and final day.

yatsuda 24th May 2012 02:52 AM

First and final... and there I thought we could follow the elections... but I think it's better that way, it must so much pressure on the girls.
I put in my kids' votes (bought 2 copies): Mayuyu and Takamina. My son would've loved to vote for Yuko, and I for Tomochin, but there's no way I'm buying more copies!

LacusClyne 25th May 2012 04:58 AM

^yay for Takamina, I had cast my early vote for her on 22nd, I'll have 2 more copies coming in and the votes will go to Takamina too

Bigtop 28th May 2012 07:20 PM

Heard it sold over 1.6 million for the single. Awaiting official word from Oricon in a couple of hours...

Aspen 29th May 2012 06:17 PM

Quote:

AKB48’s newest single “Manatsu no Sounds good!” topped the Oricon Weekly Single Ranking Chart for the week of June 4th by selling a whopping 1,617,000 copies in its first week of sales. This sales figure marked a new record, as it is the highest sales on Oricon’s single sales chart for a first week.
Source:Tokyohive

Congrats to the girls; I'm happy that it's this single that breaks (their own) record again cause it's the first one that I really enjoy since the last election single :luv2!

visionfactory 30th May 2012 03:06 AM

^ I'm glad it sold better than the others too!! ^_^ I like it more

I'm glad Mayuyu can actually sing with that voice she has!!

YUKARI 5th June 2012 05:15 AM

So tomorrow's senbatsu election!! It will be broadcasted on Google+ from 5:20 pm!

visionfactory 5th June 2012 06:52 AM

Tomorrow!??!?!?!?!?! Really!??!?!?!?! I can't wait :no I've never been so excited for a senbatsu election
