Exactly. The way she sings it ruins the song for me and the arrangement was somewhat weaker as well + the performance didn't really fit the song that well either as opposed to the (miss)understood AT one. Imo Ladies night was always somewhat dark and mysterious and she kind of killed that image XD

I am hoping her vocals during HANABI were as good as they were throughout the rest of the show and that it sounds nothing like it did in 2008.

It sounds like she is maybe preparing for A Summer Best TV lives with adding these summer songs to the setlist. :)

Not really because that was not the case at all the shows I was at. :innocent Also, you cannot really judge his vocals with what he sings at Ayus lives. hes doing backup not his full voiced vocals.

She updates the setlist a looooooot nowadays, haha. I wonder if I should just create a separate list of songs that were formerly featured.

So japanese fans not liking Timmy actually?

Back in Australia *post travel depression :(* Kind of gutted I didn't get those 2nd show rip-off tickets as she performed You & Me! Out of the two, so much happier to have witnessed HANABI live.

You can when Japanese fans are screaming like maniacs to their favourite dancers and band members, and comparing that with the minimal to no cheering Timmy got when he was in the spotlight or announced. My very reasonable conclusion - they do not like him. He tried so hard to engage with the audience and win people over but it was epic fail each and every time. The sooner he is gone from Ayu's concerts, the better.

And yes, his vocals did suck. Have you listened to NaNaNa or Happening Here? He has solo vocal sections in both songs. Those instances are perfect scenarios where his REAL vocals can be judged. And both times, he sounded terrible. Plus his vocals are very distinct in Shake It (terrible live) and how beautiful you are (also terrible live) The man cannot rap *shudder* or sing. Please stop trying. It was embarrasing to watch.

I don't think anyone actually had a poll regarding Timmy's popularity among japanese public... The band members and dancers Ayu fandom likes more are with her for longer and experienced far longer spotlight and had far more chances of being fan favorites...

And I won't take much credit for the whole "he vocals sux", considering people over here still believe Ayu is a better vocalist than Peco and Princess...

I am tone deaf, but I believe I can howl better than Peco....and Ayu's live vocals are absolutely awesome ^^

So the only things that remained from the CDL are Happening Here, Sparkle (which I love so I don't mind) and Ladies Night right?

I'm afraid now she will keep You & Me until the end of the tour

As for the whole Timmy thing... You cant say the Japanese dont like him from ONE concert... thats horrible.
Thats like going out side, polling 10 random people if they like mac and cheese, and 7 of them say no and then you turn around and say the world hates mac and cheese. -.-

Besides, Timmy has only been around for what, a year?? I bet a lot of people dont know about him yet... All those cheers and yells for ayumi and her dancers?? Have you thought it's because she has used the same people for like the past 5 years??? You start to expect them to be there when you go to one of her shows.
They have become staples... gave it time. They will grow to like him.
Timmy is here to stay!

He seems to be more ambitious, so I doubt he'll stay Ayu's back vocal forever...

I don't know if it will stay until the end (she may change it for the Tales of Xillia song?), but I'm positive we'll never get to see call and Letter :no
