I was surprised.

Or maybe she just wanted to share a performance of her with GLOBE since it won't happen again, not in a personal level, she probably respect them both as artists and this is a way to say goodbye (not only to TK but to Globe) please don't make a drama just because she tagged Keiko and TK :rolleyes

voltron 19th January 2018 06:50 PM

This has nothing to do with GLOBE, since TK and Keiko are not the only members - A Song is Born is a performance with Keiko, it wasn't a GLOBE collaboration. I think if that was her intent, she would've done her singing Many Classic Moments or Departures or something.

This is Ayu we're talking about, and it IS making a statement - we just have no clue what the statement is. It's either Team Keiko, or it is that she respects both for their contributions. She has always struck me as someone who really values loyalty, which leads me to believe she would side with Keiko - but I don't know her personally and could be wrong. Also, siding with one of them on this matter doesn't necessarily equate to shunning the other completely.

Anyway, I don't think there's any drama in this, other than what people are trying to read into it. She can make whatever statement she wants, or not.

Andrenekoi 19th January 2018 07:46 PM

Maybe she is just saying she still friends with both...

Chibi-Chan 19th January 2018 10:04 PM

I think since Ayu posted a song she did with KEIKO, this is meant to be a support for her and she only also tagged TK, since this way she isn't too direct regarding this matter - which could easily backfire.

You are probably right. Given the list of songs that TK has personally produced for Ayu that Keiko had no part in, she easily could have shared a video of her performing one of those songs. But instead she chose to share the one piece of work she did together with Keiko. At least Ayu got a good head on her shoulders regarding this matter. I’m kind of disgusted with all the support and sentiment for TK by most Japanese on twitter.

The song was written by ayu but the music was composed by TK, also pretty sure the dude on the piano in that performance is TK so :rolleyes

soo true! Im so agreed with this.

Ayu could have easily share Love Song performance the lyrics better suits the situation if shes with TK lol, knowing someone who sings My Names Women in almost every show Im quite sure Ayu is with Keiko :o

about TK yes, Im disgusted too seeing all those honors and tributes to him by japanese fans on twitter, like hello if this was a female celeb you guys would long criticized her for being a disgrace and disrespectful, enough said, Ayu herself was once in the situation shes not even having a scandal but shes just in love with the guy (s) who took advantage (Japan has always been hard on women)

tokyoxjapanxfan 20th January 2018 06:37 AM

I think it'd be different if all he did was apologized.
His affair has been looked over in response to his immediate retirement.

Of course people will be affected by this news because many people have personal and emotional connections and memories with the songs he's created.

When MJ or Whitney or even George Michael passed away, the issues they all had in the past were largely forgotten and there was a general sadness for the loss to the music community. Despite the amount of hate, ridicule and judgement they received after the various scandals they had faced in the past.

Aderianu 20th January 2018 08:57 AM

Is the fact that ayu posted so LQ video means she also doesn't have it and downloaded it from internet? )

KittyKathy 20th January 2018 09:13 AM

Maybe she downloaded from AHS :roflmao

truehappiness 20th January 2018 02:56 PM

She probably used the first thing that popped up in Google.

Perfect hair, perfect weight, perfect muscles, always smiling. Humans are obsessed with perfection. And when we don't feel like we're perfect, we put expectations in someone else and start judging. And then the cycle of perfection keeps going on.

I agree with this. Beauty standards are inhuman. But unfortunately that is entertainment industry. :/

Well said everyone!

And exactly! That is what pisses me off most about this situation, that TK isn't even taking responsibility by admitting he cheated. And instead trying to induce sympathy by retiring. When, tbh, I'd rather he didn't retire and would instead concentrate on whether him and Keiko want to continue their marriage or start divorce proceedings. Don't play the martyr by calling a conference to announce your retirement!

Yeah, in my opinion, Ayumi does feel for Keiko which is why she posted the performance. Equally she is tagging TK as, despite him hiding behind the retirement announcement, his retirement is a big deal and obviously he has composed some great songs for her.

I am still feeling so disappointed about the whole situation and I haven't totally gathered my thoughts but I'll just repeat what I said in the Globe thread (which is a post I have been editing as more thoughts came to me):

Quote:

Disappointed that he cheated on Keiko and is retiring. I was always hoping Globe would make a come back (and was still working my way through their discography)

I wonder what Keiko will do now?

He has composed so many amazing songs, it's disappointing that he isn't really a great person and has prioritised getting his leg over, above his wife who is still recovering, his child and music career.

Just ugghhh TK you are such an idiot! I do hope Keiko kicks him to the curb.
Quote:

Man I am feeling so conflicted about this situation.

Normally with a retirement announcement, I would listen to loads of Globe and TK songs but after what he's done I just feel so disappointed.

I hate that he's hiding under the retirement announcement and getting lots of good will off fans from that. I don't think he was planning on retiring at all tbh. Pandora was a fairly new unit and I can't really imagine him living without music. And then he's also throwing into the conference that he's got Hepatitis C which is presumably self inflicted.

Where is Keiko in this? Did she even get an apology at the conference? I assume not, because he's dancing around the rumours he's cheated when he should just admit it.

I had the impression that Keiko's health had improved greatly (with the song he posted with her singing last year) but I'm hearing that it was mentioned at the conference that this isn't the case at all. It would be great if a translation of the conference appears.

Basically TK, you've really fucked this haven't you? Huh?
On another thought, what is TK retiring to do now? Look after his wife!?
