I would love a concert just with remixes of her songs. She has so many great remixes and I think it would be great to see (and hear) those in concert.

And she could open it with I Am and Never Ever from Ayu-mi-x IV acoustic orchestra. The setlist would be half orchestra, half dance remixes.

I can imagine this right now...:heart
Going to make a playlist this weekend to live out some version of this dream :laugh

I actually thought that for the ballad section she could use acoustic orchestra mixes!

Would you mind posting it here? ;)

I think it's cool that Ayu is going to finish off the TROUBLE tour, but I'm not going to lie, both the recent announcements were disappointing for me as a fan. A new album, even a new BEST album, would be more interesting right now, particularly with the momentum she's built up with Dreamed a Dream.

maxikot 18th September 2020 01:01 PM

^ I see what you mean. I think most of us were hoping for an album announcement but to be honest I am very happy with both news. It was sad when the final chapter of TROUBLE tour got cancelled when it looked really great so I immediately started looking forward to the DVD from the first concert report. In my eyes the upcoming live will bring a very nice closure to the trouble tour era. I hope they bring all the cool performances from different chapters :)
Best Live Box is nice for me. As I said in the respective thread there are so many great performances in one place + a completely new live. Looks good to me.

I think the album is only a matter of time so keep looking forward to it :)

At least this finally means the TROUBLE era might finally be put to bed come October 2nd.

Cahz- 18th September 2020 01:12 PM

I don't know why she's reluctant to release a new best album. It's been 8 years since A SUMMER BEST.

Evolution7/4 18th September 2020 01:24 PM

Avex probably sees it as a waste of money. Much easier and cheaper to secure streams and make a spotify playlist/digital release like they have been doing.

truehappiness 18th September 2020 01:55 PM

I think they are waiting for her to feel like it's the right time. Now she can dictate when one comes out so A BEST 3 / A COMPLETE 2 are just... whenever she feels like it vs. when avex wants her to.

I wonder if there are HD versions of these 2 tv-lives

I think I've watched these 2 lives for the first time in my life.
feels great!

omg today I was randomly watching Endless sorrow PV on YouTube and then suddenly I realized I knew the boy who's main act in the PV!! I know his name! he's one of my favorite YouTubers and he has 2 channels called SAWAYAN CHANNEL and SAWAYAN GAMES

this is soooo strange actually! I've never though I'd know the boy who starred in this PV. and it's been almost 18 years since I've first watched it and who would imagine there'd be one day when I would know the boy. it's really really really strange feeling!!

I've asked Sawa if it's really him in the PV but he didn't answer. then I googled information about actors and omg it's really him!

and now I want to rewatch that short making-of video from A Clips vol. 2

wow this blew my mind today

Doesn't it feel refreshingly nostalgic to see Team Ayu covers now?

Also does it feel like a far off fever dream that this concert happened? It feels like an oasis in the desert that is the TROUBLE tour saga and unique CDLs we were cheated out of.

Well,Shigi covered A Song For XX
I always thought that she has an interesting tone of voice. Too bad that she didn't or couldn't do much on the Japanese music scene. One of her songs was used for a movie tie in maybe 2007 and that's about it.

Wow, that was an awesome cover! She can put some serious emotion into her voice (like Ayu) and she really put her own spin on the song with how she packed all the power into the chorus and then the lalalas at the end were so soft and somber...

Evan Odinson 26th September 2020 05:34 PM

^^That was a nice cover, I really liked her voice!

Toniayu123 26th September 2020 09:39 PM

I know I’m late but ok, just watched DaD performance at a nation and wow, does she really sound better there than on the song recording itself? Lol I thought Ayu’s voice was gone for real (I mean I love DaD but her voice sounds extremely tired and damaged), but a nation blew me away. Glad to see she still has power! Excited to see the final trouble concert.
My plans were going to go to this year’s CDL but given the circumstances I’m gonna postpone it. I think my best bet is her 25th anniversary, which I hope they handle better than her 20th lol

280301 27th September 2020 11:02 AM

Happy 20th Anniversary to Duty today. :heart

tokyoxjapanxfan 27th September 2020 10:34 PM

Does anyone know where to search for pv filming locations that Ayu has used?

I’m trying to find where the restaurant/bar scene was filmed at for the RAINBOW pv. I know it could be long gone by now but I’m still curious haha.

Chibi-Chan 27th September 2020 10:38 PM

^oh that would be very interesting to know!

YUKARI 29th September 2020 03:07 PM

Midori is 47 years old now! OMG almost 50!

I'm quite shocked. I though she's like 39 maybe.
