It's weird but I think the promotion they got really helped them get the #1 spot. They even beat Lady GaGa for Christ's sakes!

I never saw any of their promotion except for Wendy Williams (because I read on this forum that they would be on) and my friend told me "Some asian chicks opened for the jonas brothers" which I found out to be them from this forum. Guess I don't go out enough hehe. But congrats anyway to them.

BUT I WANT ANOTHER KOREAN ALBUM!

mimi's leaving wg......

JYP Entertainment has announced that Mimi from the Wonder Girls has decided
to postpone her musical career to pursue an academic career.
Mimi, the rest of the Wonder Girls members, her family, and JYP Entertainment
have collectively decided to postpone her musical career for the time being.
JYP Entertainment said, “Mimi had a truly memorable, once in a lifetime
experience while living in the U.S. and touring over 50 cities. We support her
decision to pursue an academic career at this time. We will also support Mimi if
she chooses to return to singing after her academics are complete. In the
meantime, she plans to frequent JYP facilities and continue her dance and vocal
classes.”
Mimi will remain with the Wonder Girls in the U.S., continuing with any scheduled
performances and activities until the end of February. As of March, she will return
to Korea and prepare to focus on her studies. JYP has named 17 year old Lim as
the newest member to the quintet. Lim has gone through extensive training at the
JYP Academy for three years and is fluent in four languages: English, Korean,
Mandarin and Cantonese.

Yeah I heard. I was shocked because it came out of nowhere, but now it's okay bring on the new Wonder Girl. Sun Mi wasn't one of my favorites ,but it's her life.

i've lost a lot of interest in them since they haven't released anything in ages, but it's still sad to see her go.
it's unexpected, but if any of the members were to leave i would have guessed her anyway, since she seemed to have the most trouble dealing with things. i wonder how sohee is taking it. hyuna and sunmi were her two closest friends, and when hyuna left the group her personality did like a 180, it'll probably be 10x worse with sunmi. i hope she doesn't kill herself!

the new member is going to get a lot of crap too, but unlike yoobin i don't think most of the fans will ever accept her

i doubt she's coming back. it doesn't take a few months to just wrap up your education, it takes years. if she does come back as a singer she probably won't be in the wonder girls.

it sucks that she's leaving though :( if they just stayed in korea this probably wouldn't have happened.

Sunmi was a main vocalist. If she's not in the group anymore, than the answer should be no. It's not like Hyuna and YuBin, rappers that pop in for a one part. Sunmi sings most if not all the versus in Nobody.

The fact that they put a new member in instead of just leaving her spot open like in another JYP group should tell you something. Jay is coming back so they left the place open. Sunmi isn't. She'll probably re-debut in some other JYP group. That won't leave SK.

if youre talking about the US album, then yeah, she's still going to do that, but after that she'll leave,,

im kinda thinkin she's going to do the same as hyuna too, i mean it'll be weird if she came back being a wonder girl and Lim has to go

I hope she'll back to be a soloist, I mean she's talented
