I feel the same way. I encourage Hikki on both fronts (U.S. & JP). She needs to focus on becoming more eminent in the U.S. She has to in order to vend her album.

I can honestly linger until she releases another Japanese single. She goes through a lot and it's not fair to demand such vocation from her.

It's weird how you assumed her fans want her to fail in the US. I don't think I saw that kind of comment yet... Some of her fans just don't enjoy her English release and they just want her to move on to some Japanese material (that does not mean they want her to fail). No need to get so irritated about it.

I'd bet a lot of munny on her not releasing a new English song lolIf anything, i'd just be the next single...so I don't really see how people could want or even expect a new song in the american market.


I think I want more Japanese stuff though. I really would like her to get serious about her music again...I don't know what direction she'll take her music in though...I feel like she's getting bored or something with making music for her fans.

Sometimes I don't think she knows what direction she's going to go in either. But shall wait...because...we're not gonna get anything any time soon.

This is what I said over a month ago when it started to get quiet around her... That she had probably given up and gotten bored with her album already. And now it seems that is what has happened... I'm not mad at her or angry... But I am disappointed if it's like that, because with good promo, her album would do good in the US.
When BoA and Utada debuted about the same time with their albums this spring, I thought BoA would fail and her name and music would be forgotten before summer hit, and that Utada would get it right... But now it seems BoA works hard promoting her music, and I actually start to believe she will make it big over there. :)
Not trying to make a B vs U thing here, I'm just deliberating over my reversed opinions about the two and their US debuts.

Yes, sometimes I wist Utada was with Avex so at least her releases would get the hype and promotion they deserve :laugh

But really... One of the main reasons I love Hikki is because she's NOT like that, she dares to do it differently. She does it exactly the way she wants, and she does it herself.

So even when we got the slightly disappointing news that the "new" song was a Beautiful World remix, I ended up being fine with it because apparently she thought a BW mix would fit the movie, and she didn't wanna rush a new song. I also love the remix, but a new song would've been better.

So I'll wait.. impatiently :D

:laugh Utada wouldn't survive that. She'll drop from the promotion schedule. Her voice would suffer too. :(

So that is what she's saying in that song! WTF. Did she really just make a flaming joke? Haha. Well, whatever. The song is catchy but otherwise atrocious. It seems like she always goes for comical lyrics with her English songs. Most of them don't seem to be meant to be taken seriously.

Well, with the exception of Apple & Cinnamon and This One (Crying Like A Child). Nice songs but in the minority on that album.

Omg...she should release Poppin' as a single in Europe (specifically, the UK); it would do amazing in the clubs and people would like her quirky style. XD

All I can say is, Hikki needs to do something about her U.S. album. More promotion is essential at this stage.
