I barely ever contacts in my life even I do wear glasses

maybe I will try circle lenses once, hmmmm

I just hate the look they have on other people X____X
since my old school, lots of people who clearly don't have blue/green eyes wore them and they looked like cats

Corvina 21st April 2012 09:05 AM

Those pics for the contacts look great!
I'm not a fan of colourd contacts, but I have to say Kuu's look really pretty. And I love that one is made after her own eyes!

I'm wearing contacts myself since almost 9 years now (I'm pretty blind without), though I stopped recently cause they started to hurt. But I don't like glasses... I swear it's always better to not need anything for your eyes. And I'm still surprised after all those years that there are people wearing (coloured) contacts just for the look. XD I mean, it's always a risk and you have to take care of them.
One day contacts like Kuu's are the most healthiest. :)

I use glasses because I prefer them more (I've been wearing glasses since I was 5 years old). I can't even think of using contact lenses. It just makes me shiver. XD

there are different type of lenses being released now.actually, the circle lens gyarus use are advisable to wear 4-6 hours a day only, but people aiming at beauty do not usually follow this recommendation, so they themselves can be blamed for the circumstances
there are lenses of 24h use and even these in which you can sleep. moisture lens, light lens, etc
I think though that coloured lens adviced wear is 8h max?

you cannot actually wear usual lens prescribed for eyesight only like 12h or how much they tell. because what if you can't see without lenses an are up for more then 12h? and glasess proved wrong? I've never wanted to wear any lens, but my health condition made me do it. I have only one eye with bad eyesight, while another one is perfect eyesight. using the glasses proved unsuccessful and even damaging. first of all, I got terrible headache wearing glasses with one -2,5 lens and another 0 lens. then, visually, even if there are light lens being produced now, which are made thinner, it got really ridiculously looking have glasses on with 2 lens of different thickness, lol

@ happiholic anc Emi. I always wanted brown eyes, my brother and mother have brown eyes and I always felt that brown stood out, especially when it comes to wearing makeup. I'm jealous lol. My left eye is deep blue and my right eye is a light green, and I'm blind as hell.

The issue I have with contacts is I have such a bad case of dry eye, so contacts irritate it. I might start wearing them again, because they work better at seeing then my glasses.

ayu_ready? 21st April 2012 06:51 PM

^ have you not tried eyedrops which they sell for lenses and dry eyes? :)

Zahara 21st April 2012 08:07 PM

My eyes are so dry, that those drops don't work. It's like a desert. I've even had implants put into my eyes to help stimulate drops. Sadly nothing works.

toniayu 21st April 2012 08:40 PM

^You should try silicone hydrogel lenses, they're specially designed for dry eyes.I have been using them for a long time and I have sensitive and dry eyes. :)
I love the new kuu's contacts! The silky beige is my favorite!

after reading this discussion about lenses I don't wanna buy them anymore. lol $40 for 1 month lenses? no thanks, I'd rather buy some old singles, that I don't have in my collection.

oh? how come? I buy my 1 year lenses for 19-25$, 1 month ones are for ~10$ at pinkyparadise.com

but yeah, it's Kuu, hers must be more expensive I guess :)

I'd love to buy Kuu lenses but I have bright eyes and I can't wear lenses with visible 'circle' in the middle (without gradient if that's how you call it), it looks unnatural on me.

I have a review on my lenses on my blog if anyone's interested.

I read about how you said circle lenses are super popular in Japan and it makes me wanna wear them again. I just love the black ring, it looks so cool.

See, I asked the customer advice of a shop that sells GEO lenses and he told me it was 12 hrs, but all the time I was still really sceptical that 12 hours was really an okay amount of time to leave them in, it seemed too long to me. so no more than 8h makes more sense. :)

That sounds like such a pain. D: I have never needed glasses or lenses but recently my eyes seem to be so blurry all the time, I need an eye test. :/ I don't think I would need glasses, I think I made just need reading glasses. My eyes hurt so much whenever I try to put my friends glasses on to test, LOL.

I'll be ordering my lenses from www.eyecandylens.com ! They're the best deal I have seen so far and do a lot of variety of lenses. :) It's free shipping for any lenses and with them you get a free bonus case. :)

@SKYia: Oh! I noticed you bought yourself some Missha BB cream, what did you think of it? :) It would be awesome if you could do a review on it!

ayu_ready? 23rd April 2012 08:38 PM

no way, they told you about 12 hrs just to sell it! :( it will be damaging, really, because they're not professional lenses, like acuvue etc, so please wear them 6h a day max :)

every person has individual eyesight and eye problems of course, sometimes relatives tend to lend their glasses to each other because one has them prescribed and another one feels like they 'work perfectly' even though he haven't checked his eyes properly. which is absolutely wrong and damaging too. that is why trying other people's glasses can hurt for you :)

I've been having eye probs since I was 10, and since then I managed to cure my 1 eye completely without any surgery involved. that's why I'm so careful about my eyes & care & lenses :)

toniayu 23rd April 2012 08:45 PM

^I feel the same.I don't like korean brands for my everyday contact lenses...they look so cheap and sometimes even bad quality.I think is better to go to a professional so he can recommend you the best option for your eyes :)
And GEO have the same original japanese brands designs, haven't they?

ayu_ready? 23rd April 2012 09:36 PM

yeah, kind of :)

Yeah, I will definitely only were them for a few hours max, thanks! :) I probably won't wear them everyday, just when I feel like it. ^^

I think the GEO lenses are great quality, as a lot of girls in Japan, as well as Gyaru celebs wear them, but I am only buying a pair to wear as like, fashion. :) So not power to the left or right. ^^

toniayu 24th April 2012 07:25 PM

^I think the Gyaru celebrities wear the original brands which are more expensive ;)
