Omg she sound so good!! and i love the production. seriously wasn't having any high hope for this but Ayu prove me wrong :)

I don't like the verses as much. Rather dry and typical buildup but the chorus is everything.

Am I the only one who thinks the cover is horrible? I love Movin' on without you to bits. It's one of my favorite songs from Hikki, and sadly this version isn't what it should be like. It lacks that wow aspect completely in my eyes. I think she should have chosen something more suitable for her voice.

Seeing how his preview was uploaded by AYU's team and having RedOne to do the track, I think the chances of her performing it MAY be higher now hahh

ayumint 8th December 2014 04:37 PM

Woooowwww!I love it

amorphose 8th December 2014 04:38 PM

I think that's the problem. Most of us had low expectations because we have absolutely no interest in the original. IMO, the original lacks harmonization and depth during the chorus and just feels rather subtle and cheesy. However, Ayu's version gives off a completely different feel. It expands upon the chorus and really excels at giving a clear definition between chorus and verse. You can feel the energy rise and the song "take-off" when the hook comes in. That's what I look for in a song most of the time, and this song hits such criteria, so therefore, I am (as well as many others) are truly pleased with the improvements Ayu has made to this version of the song.

You might be. :P

I personally think this song suits ayu more than Hikki. When I heard the original I was a bit surprised it was Hikki's song to begin with.

this cover makes me want to go to the pub now!!!
I CAN'T SLEEP!!!!!!!!

I'm glad this exists because it makes her discography more interesting, but the track severely lacks any kind of Ayu / J-pop charm.

I think Ayu does "Western" sounding music well when it's her own song (XOXO, Wake me up, Lelio, Terminal, Bold & Delicious), but this song is WAY too Western-sounding even for her, and it's not even the arrangement, it's the melody. the melody is so Western-sounding that it pretty much forces her to change her vocal style. she sounds sooooooooo affected.

I love this song very much, so I can understand what are you talking about. but, from my part, I can say, that I expected the cover to be much worse lol :D yet I'd prefer Ayu making a cover of any ballad

js_surrealism 8th December 2014 05:29 PM

I love both ayu and hikki and honestly of the previews so far, ayu's might be the only one that's actually better than the original (which says a lot for me because my blind love for shiina ringo is about 5 times that of ayu's)

everything from production to vocals to even the subject matter of the song, sounds like right at home it might as well have been ayu's own song, a bastard child of something off next level and a song for xx.

marekcarey 8th December 2014 05:42 PM
