I am really considering buying this. It's funny, I hated almost all of her first album, and her voice was very unpolished at first. But it seems she's improved in both her voice and music quality; I've really loved her last few singles. I think she has so much potential, and I think she deserves the rising popularity. :yes I've yet to see any of her videos, though, so I need to do that, to see if I might want the DVD version. >_<' |
They keep re-stockig the CDs, probably this will sell out fast too hopefully (it's good for her sales:D) she deserves it <3 I ordered both versions 1st press :)

^ I agree. She is playing it safe, it seems. That's the only thing I'm waiting for from her - I want some more variety, and something that really stands out. But like you said, she's still new, so she's got some more time before we can get too upset about it. ^^' Her style is different from her debut, though. She was more pop and kinda dance-y at first, and now she's more R&B. Not a drastic change or a sell-out or anything, but enough to notice. I think both suits her really well, though.

It's odd that while her music is becoming more solid and developed, her music videos are starting to lack "oomph". Like, when I first heard I, I didn't care for it, but I loved the video and I watched it so many times that I feel in love with the song. It's what made me a fan. PVs are very important.

I read different places that song was actually given to her by an Australian band, and she just re-wrote the lyrics in Japanese... Now, is there an original of that song, by the Australian band, does anybody know? Because I'd be curious to hear it, and to see how different Kana's take is on it. |

^^ It just sucks because she deserves better, and, most importantly, I'd hate it if this is what really kicked off her career. Because then she'd be known as 'the girl who did that one Naruto song', lol (which would also set her up as a potential anime singer, which is never good). Then again, I guess I shouldn't really worry about that too much. She's already popular enough, so hopefully nobody would associate an anime hit as what made her. ^^' But of course, there's always the idiot who really would think that. Like how some foreigners/anime freaks believe Dearest was Ayumi's first big hit. :rolleyes

I'm loving that Kana writes all her own lyrics. What about her first album though? Did she write everything for that one too? She has the possibility of being the new J-Pop Princess. Ayu and Kuu were both somewhat plain in their debut, I doubt they were as outgoing then than they are now. Also, she is an amazing digital seller, which is the new way to buy music. She could be the leader of a J-Pop digital revolution! :P But, maybe not. I'm happy, so long as her music stays amazing <3.
