Hey!Say! JUMP holds first 2011 live at Yokohama Arena
Boy band Hey!Say! JUMP held their first solo concert for 2011 at Yokohama Arena on January 2nd. Performing for the third year in a row at that venue, the concert was a part of their live tour, “Hey!Say! JUMP ‘Arigatou’~Sekai no Doko ni Itemo~ WINTER CONCERT 2010~2011“, which spanned 3 cities and had 16 stages. Impressively, the concert at Yokohama Arena – two stages, one day – pulled in a total audience figure of 30,000. Fans were delighted as Hey!Say! JUMP delivered 20 songs, including their latest track, “Arigatou~Sekai no Doko ni Itemo~.” During the concert, Yabu Kota remarked, “Since this is the year of rabbit in Chinese astrology, I want to jump more like a rabbit! I also want to have our own show this year.” Building on that, fellow member Nakajima Yuto expressed his ambition and hoped for a world tour. ^ i hope the same! i want them and NEWS to go back to like...3 singles a year. like back in 2008. :( HSJ especially because they went one whole year (2009) without music. at least NEWS had one single. :P it still sucks though, lol. i wonder what johnny is thinking.

NYC to sing theme song and ending song for “Nintama Rantaro” film

it's funny because I thought Takaki might be the 1 to shine a lot outta all the 10 , with him acting in Gokusen & let alone in the movie
but I suppose someone like Yamada would rather be that person that Johnny-san will spend more time to mould him more because I wouldn't lie that he has a lot of potential to strike out on his own in the future he has the looks , the moves & really does know how to put up a show , especially with his solo dance moves & songs in Shounen Club :O |
i agree about yamada! he obviously does deserve the spotlight, but as much as i like seeing him, i kinda hope JE won't get too carried away and push him in our face or something, lol. because all of HSJ are really talented! but yet i hardly see them get drama work. :( matsujun, yamapi, kame, nino, etc... got much more drama roles when they were around HSJ's age. so i dunno why they won't make them as the next generation of johnny actors.

Hey! Say! JUMP's Keito Okamoto cast in final "3 Nen B Gumi Kinpachi Sensei" episode
Last month, it was announced that the popular drama series "3 Nen B Gumi Kinpachi Sensei" will be ending this March with a special episode. The full cast has not yet been announced, but it was revealed on Friday that Hey! Say! JUMP member Keito Okamoto (17) will be playing one of the main students, a troublemaker named Kageura. Many other members of Johnny's Jimusho have played students in "3 Nen B Gumi Kinpachi Sensei" over the years, including Masahiko Kondo (46) and Kazuya Kamenashi (24). In fact, Okamoto's own father, Kenichi Okamoto (41), also played a student in one of the series' special episodes in December 1985. This makes them the first father-son pair to both appear on the show, though actress Kaori Tsuchiya (46) and actor Shunta Fukawa (18) were the first parent and child to do so. It has been reported Keito Okamoto spoke confidently about his acting debut role. “I feel very grateful to have been chosen to star in this prestigious show,” he said. It has also been revealed that Keito had not relied on his father’s name, and had beaten his competition through the show’s audition process. “This is a show that generations of my seniors have been in. I want to give it everything I’ve got to overcome that pressure,” he said. Weekly entertainment magazine Ori Star recently announced the results of its latest survey, asking for their fans’ favorite song by their favorite artist. SKE48 did quite well, with first week sales numbers for their last single higher than NYC's first week's, although SKE48 was #2 compared to another group; it could be really close between these girls and three young boys. |

Every Johnny’s talent to take part in relief project Johnny’s & Associates will launch a new relief project involving every one of their talents to support the victims of the Japan earthquake, it was revealed on March 19, reports Sponichi Annex and Sports Hochi. It has been reported the project will include a charity CD sale and events. On March 18, a truck originally intended to transport concert equipment, instead transported everyday needs like disposable baby diapers and disinfectant to affected areas in Iwate prefecture. Johnny’s talents Hideaki Takizawa (28), Tsubasa Imai (29), and Yuma Nakayama (17) helped to load the goods onto the truck. “Our fans have supported us, now we want to give something back to them,” Imai said. “If we can help motivate people to do something by doing it ourselves, I think there’s a need for all of us (at Johnny’s) to get together and ask our fans to help out as well,” Takizawa said. Following the 1995 Kobe earthquake, 13 Johnny’s talents from the Kansai region, or with connections to Kansai had formed “J-FRIENDS” (TOKIO, KinKi Kids, and V6). The special group released CDs and held performances to raise money for earthquake victims. It has been reported that other talents had said they wanted to help out if another charity group were to be formed, and it is expected that this project will be bigger than ever. Johnny & Associates announces earthquake relief project, “Marching J”, feat. all talents
Johnny & Associates have announced the creation of an earthquake relief project called “Marching J“, which will feature the participation of all Johnny & Associates talents. The project was named by president Johnny Kitagawa, and the “J” stands for both ‘Japan’ and ‘Johnny’s’. Mr. Kitagawa says, “I put the meaning of ‘Let’s walk together toward the recovery.” Although Johnny & Associates housed a relief unit, “J-FRIENDS“, for 1995’s Great Hanshin Earthquake, it was only comprised of TOKIO, KinKi Kids, and V6. This time, however, “Marching J” will involve all the agency’s talents – it’ll mark the first in-house collaborative project since the company’s founding in 1962. Mr. Kitagawa explained, “It was that big of a disaster. We need to get together, and take actions to make our hearts as one.” He also revealed that there were many talents who were willing to do something for the disaster relief. The first event for “Marching J” will be through a fundraiser, which will be hosted in front of the First Gymnasium at the Yoyogi National Stadium. The event will run from April 1st to the 3rd, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Including Johnny’s Jr. boys (and trainees), there will be over 100 talents participating the event under the slogan, “Use our energy without using electricity“. Hey! Say! JUMP’s Yaotome Hikaru talks about his family
Hey! Say! JUMP member Yaotome Hikaru attended the “Marching J” charity event held by Johnny & Associates on April 1st. The fund raising event was very special to Hikaru since he’s originally from the Miyagi prefecture. Hikaru said that right now his family is living in the evacuation shelters, and also mentioned that his older brother is staying at the company workplace. He wants his brother to see how hard he’s working. He also admitted that that his family actually lives in the mountain side of Miyagi-ken but communication is cut-off so he worries a lot. The apartment, where his older brother and wife live, in Tagajo-shi was damaged by tsunami and earthquake. The first floor is flooded and they have no gas or water. His sister-in-law took refuge in his parents house along with her child, while the brother is residing in the company house. Though, Hikaru is particularly concerned for his 4-year old niece and 6-year old nephew. Hikaru hasn’t been able to reach any of his friends and wants to go back there as soon as possible.
