MAGAZINE wouldn't be out til 26th Jan but yeah 6 out of 10 new songs (should be 9 since the 1st track is an introduction haha) on the album already have leaked out on the net

Her official website states on Hellcat's page :

"衝撃のデビューアルバム！" Which litteraly means : Impact debut album.
That's why they also state "1st full album" instead of "debut album".

I've also checked with other shops such as HMV, amazon, neowing tetsuya and they all mention "debut album" in their description. So I guess we can conclude that Hellcat was indeed her debut album, but they don't consider it as a proper album, whereas MAGAZINE is a FULL ALBUM.

A bit tricky but that's they way it is.

Ayumi's A single is considered a single by her standards, but certified an album by the Record Industry Association of Japan. I don't blame them either. 14 tracks for a single? lol

Music is so tricky. I can't remember the name of the artist, but there is this band that released what they considered an "album" and it only had 2 songs on it. haha. They were normal 3/4 minute songs too. Not crazy 20 minute songs. So who knows what a real full length album is.

Just received an email from CDJapan noticing me that they have to update the shipping charges... The item's weight is about 1kg O_o;

So yeah, instead of barely 40euros, my order is around 55euros now...
I pray customs won't annoy me 'bout that -____-

I knew this was going to happen when I first saw the listing for the album and the weight was stated at 200g. There is no way an album with special magazine packaging is going to weigh the same as a normal 2 disc release.

I'm glad I ordered with PayPal (even though I had to cancel my previous order so I could make a new order with some additional items :P).

I must say I didn't pay much attention to the weight when I ordered, didn't think it would weight 1kg anyway, it's so freaking huge!
But I guess if I canceled my order and re-order using Paypal it wouldn't have change anything since they now updated the weight for the Type B :/

Oddly, they haven't updated the weight for Type A yet; it's still at 200g. :P

I doubt it Mylene , Kuroki's past singles (other than SHOCK -Unmei-) also came with posters as external bonus items but CDJapan never jack up the shipping prices to the extent that you have to add 1,000 Yen extra D:

Either they're adjusting charges randomly to people to offset their losses or they're using some undisclosed criteria like date-of-order or something. I suppose shipping method could have something to do with it as well; I don't think FedEx is as affected by package weight as much as normal mail services are, for example.

On a related note, my order was shipped last night (Monday morning in Japan) and it's still coming by airmail. I thought when a package is heavier than a certain amount (1kg? 2kg?), CDJ only sends it by EMS? Isn't that what happened with Kuu's "BRAZIL" photobook?

I'm with megumi. I ordered type A though (or which ever version came with the pvs), but didn't use paypal, and ordered from cd japan. They didn't update the weight or charge me differently from what I originally payed a few weeks ago.

It shipped today too. yay Can't wait to get it.

This applies to me but in reverse. I didn't buy her first two releases, so I bought A to make up for it. Besides I like having 3 albums worth of videos on one convenient dvd. Instead of actually buying version B, and having to buy the first two albums and all her singles in cd/dvd format.

I have her 1st 2 mini EP's in CD + DVD which Sony BMG HK/Taiwan made them :p

I don't have any of her singles in CD + DVD's but I downloaded the VOBs of them & converted them to avi myself

so even if my friend hasn't got back to me on whether did she bought A for me on CDJapan , I don't feel I'm missing out on anything :O because honestly , you're only paying a lot more $ than usual for a photobook within an album since the tracklist for all 3 editions are the same
