Ayu-trance: Well it's in the name really, these are trance remixes. You know trance, right? Like.. the music Tiesto and Armin van Buuren make.
Ayu-ro-mix: This is a wordplay on Ayu and Euromix. It's Eurobeat / Eurodance remixes, which is a dance style quite unique to Europe in the 90's / early 2000's I'd say, although Japan has really picked up on it as well.

I've searched both a Trance and a Euromix remix of evolution, so you can compare:

Euromix: This track list really is too perfect to choose. STEP you, startin', INSPIRE, glitter, Talkin' 2 myself, Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~.... But if I HAVE to pick, I'd pick Startin'.

I wish I could afford the boxset! I had to cancel my Love Songs Box Set because I don't have money to throw around but this is something that would mean a lot to me to have the REMIX ALBUMS box set. I love how the say something about eurobeat making a comeback this 2011. Lol.

I know I said everyone better buy this trance CD and maybe I will find the cash to do so, but it's not what I expected. Had it been all NEW SONGS that never were remixed before, I would have ordered it in a heartbeat...

haha agreed! I prefer those two as well, though I have to say I'm very curious for House. I listened to some remixes of some of the DJ's she's using for House, and I didn't really like it. But perhaps they'll bring something completely new, like a breath of fresh air. It's new, but it's exciting!

And the good thing is, we still have Ayu-trance and Ayu-ro-mix and we can already be sure they're gonna kick @$$. So I'm happy they're taking a new risk as well.

THAT'S JUST IT - We can't make remixes of album tracks because it's near impossible to get a vocal track to work with! Singles are simple because they provide us with the instrumental needed to make the vocal track. :headache

i'm really happy, but really really dissapointed at the fact that there's so many OLD songs on each remix album....She has had so many new songs released which I really wish would be remixed.... :( Thank god rule is on there though. You know I was listening to Ayu Trance and Ayu Trance 3 and I was thinking about what the covers will be like! I hope they all have matching themes!!! Her remix/compilation covers are the best of her album covers to be honest. The only thing that tops them are some of her single covers.

When I saw the ayu-mi-x set and blu-ray for AT2010 DVD I was like, WTF? OMG ENTERING AHS NOW!!

It was yesterday on 4 AM that I suddenly woke up and checked my e-mail to see Team ayu's message, I was like "omg omg omg, **** I forgot to fill water in my glass I need water!!! *___________*" xD

Yeah, it doesn't seem like many people have figured out that this is meant to celebrate her 50th single so they're newly remixing [?, in the case for older mixers like Jonathan Peters and such] every single's main A-side. This leaves out a lot of tracks like album tracks, c/w songs, and second A-sides, but eh... I'm fine with this. I mean they're giving us FIFTY NEW[?] REMIXES. Sure, Microphone and Sparkle aren't here but it's still making up for the years without a remix disc.

Everything that's not on it now can be on the next one. Which is why we have to make sure we support this if possible or else there may not be a next one.

The most housey ones were probably glitter X SOUL CENTRAL and talkin 2 myself x STONEBRIDGE. At least those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Granted a lot of the old songs have been remixed before, aside from the Eurobeat disk, most of the chosen songs haven't been remixed in whatever remix category they're in.


for instance: in the acoustic orchestra album, the only song that's ever had an acoustic orchestra version prior to ayu-mi-x 7's is NEVER EVER. (Trust had an acoustic, but it wasn't orchestrated)

for the trance album, Endless sorrow (and I think one or two others...but I don't remember and I'm not looking at the tracklist right now) have had trance remixes, but the other songs included have not.

i don't know what exactly qualifies as house music (is the normal ayu-mi-x similar to house??), but considering she's never had a house album, i'm sure most of the songs included haven't recieved a house remix.

the eurobeat disk is the only one with a lot of tracks that have already had eurobeat versions created. (unless my house example doesn't work haha)

so basically, she obviously tried to make it so a lot of songs that didn't get remixed in the past as trance or acoustic or whatever have the chance this time to recieve it.

Only some ayu-mi-x songs have been house - I named a couple of them above. House music is characterized by its predictable beat..usually called either "4/4" or "four on the floor" which makes it good for dancing. It usually has 128-130 bpm.

There are many different styles of house (electro house, progressive house, deep house, etc) so it'll be interesting to see what this album turns out like. Hopefully it's a mix of different house styles.

Rule was actually the more popular song in Japan, which makes it a logical choice. Not to mention that it was the main a-side. Still I wish that they've actually done remixes of the album tracks as well.
