I love how remix covers are different and connected. They're entirely different pictures that are connected and not just the same photoshoot but with slightly different angles for each.

So nostalgic...I'm remembering that I was an ayu fan before ayu-mi-x III was released. Of course everything was different back then. le sigh~

I miss those 10 track singles... They were so awesome. Something to look forward to every few months.

^ totally, I just went through all those last weekend and added them to my ipod! I was totally thrilled about it. Listen to it all the time at the gym now!

I can't say I was around for the 10 track singles (became a fan around Memorial Address era although not through the discovery of Memorial Address material), but I had to go through my iPod and delete a lot of stuff I don't listen to (120GB and had less than 8GB left). Let me tell you, half the remixes were garbage - look at the Daybreak single: I deleted everything but the "I Am..." (Night Clubbers mix). Now we may not get as many remixes, but the remixes we get are often of higher quality and effort. Examples include: HEAVEN (House Mix), Will (Wall5 Mix), blossom (Clockwork Yellow Remix), Rule (80kidz Remix), Ladies Night ~Another Night~.

I agree, so many of the older single remixes are such crap. I went and downloaded/listened to them all a while ago and really regretted it. they've definitely improved a LOT over the years.

I feel the opposite. I think the remixes on her singles were overall a lot better back then than they are now. I personally loved the Daybreak single and thought there were many great remixes on that one, like the Brent rotary one, the "turn up the break" one, the "Huge Fairy tale remix," etc. Yeah, since there was so much variety of remixes, there would bound to be plenty that you didn't like and there were also some duds, but there were also many great, interesting/creative ones on the singles.

I don't know why, but I can't really get into most of the remixes on her recent singles. Like, they're not bad, but they're not that great either to me.

Edit//Actually...thinking about it some more, I'm probably look at the past through rose-colored glasses, lol. There were a lot of bad remixes tbh, especially on some of her older singles. I still think later on with the singles the remixes improved overall and there were definitely a lot of gems throughout the singles imo.

I just feel like most of the remixes sounded so amateurish and very weak. Not very much talent in some of those.

Since Daybreak was singled out I have to jump in and defend it; most of the remixes were awesome! But I do agree that we seem to be getting a lot of awesome remixes recently. And I hope the trend continues cause 1 good remix is better than 7 blah ones.

I like 4 remixes from that single. "opening Run (JK's Extended Mix)", "I am... (Ram's Special 11Days Mix)", "I am... (Huge fairy tAle mix)", and "no more words (turn up the break mix)".

The Daybreak single had some impressive remixes, some we're like "yeah ok next." Another single with amazing remixes was SEASONS. Other singles I would include in the list with good remixes are UNITE! and evolution~

I really miss a bunch of remixes on one single, it made the single worth the money and more of a pleasure to listen to.

Yeah, the era with alot of remixes on one single was amazing, but when you have that many remixes theres going to be a few if not many that some people dont like. I for one favor the trance or house remixes over the slower stuff, so a lot of them dont spark my interest right off the bat, but they grow on me! :)

and as for Daybreak single... I love all the remixes on it! I am... is one of my all time fav songs and the remixes are just amazing!

I think we still get a few remixes per single like m/b had microphone remix dlb regge last links orchestra and meaning of love piano it's just there are now 3 versions of the single so they get dispersed before there was only 1 version so all ten remixes were all on one single

Really to each his own but I disliked most everything on the Daybreak single as I have mentioned, including the God-awful HAL'S Mix of Daybreak. Way to ruin the power of the song. Original owns.

^and here, I thought I was the only one who thought that. They turned a powerful song into a really boring ballad.

I just read the first page again and I wonder, why it says that the tracklist of the four albums are "unconfirmed". I thought those news came from an official source like TeamAyu or Ayu's avex website?

But I'm not very found of daybreak... but I think its because of the PV that she did for it.. I thought it lack just about everything. When listening to it on my ipod, I have to say I enjoy it still a little bit more, but it is still very low on the songs that I like.

Someone should email them and ask! Maybe I will!

You know, I actually don't even remember how Daybreak sounds like! :O I just remember back in the day downloading a really crappy quality version of the PV and complaining that a) I couldn't see again since it was so dark and b) the dark eye make-up made Ayumi look like an alien. I figured the message of the PV was that she had been kidnapped by the CIA and they were experimenting on her and then she figured that the best way to escape is to walk slowly in the middle of a road singing some slow song and flailing about.

I remember liking more than one song on the Daybreak single but I know how you feel. The 10-track singles were cool when they were good (UNITE! and Endless sorrow are my only two favorites as far as remixes on singles go) but all in all I find her remixes a lot better now than before. Some may not ayu-mi-x 6 or anything on her recent singles but they sound much more professional than what she's had before.

Aly & Fila are really top of the line for trance - I mean they are popular and have a great style. I'm sure Days will sound amazing now, no doubt in my mind. I've always liked this one by them.

Seriously you guys, I have been holding this excitement off but now with this announcement and me listening to their material again, I am so excited! Damn, I wanted to hold off a while longer yet. Still a month to go!

You know A STATE OF TRANCE 500 celebration is coming up end of March/early April (5 events on 5 continents to celebrate the 500th episode, which coincides with 10 years, of Armin van Buuren's weekly trance radio show, A STATE OF TRANCE) and some of these DJs will be performing on some of these dates. Only featured DJ from AYU TRANCE that will be at the U.S. date is Alex M.O.R.P.H and I cannot exactly afford to go this year as I went to A STATE OF TRANCE 450 last year in New York. But let me tell you, ... best night of my life. I cried afterwards in the taxi, at the airport, and on the plane. Tears of joy, sadness, disbelief, and shock. But it will be interesting to hear if any of the DJs drop their Ayu works during their respective performance slots!

So do we have a list of some sort that shows the songs we know are being remixed by certain people? I know nothing official is out yet, but I mean those who were asked and answered.

I believe Days is the first confirmation so far.

I somehow picture the packaging to be like the A COMPLETE box set, but LP sized, and when you open the 4 individual jewel cases form the square and underneath them are the posters. *_*

I seriously want to see the covers!! I really want something beautiful/elegant for the acoustic orchestra cover. something that fits with the gorgeous songs. something beautiful like the moon/blossom or MW shoot would be great. what I absolutely do not want for the covers is another A BEST 2 type shoot.

^ I liked Ayu-mi-x 2 the best. The pictures of her posing, but the first one kinda wicks me out. The thrid one, with the metamorphism into the cat... The four was too... I think too much, thats what bothers me the most about the four ones.

Well, I know Alex M.O.R.P.H., Push, and Aly & Fila are pretty popular trance producers. Ronald Van Gelderen, Public Domain, Ramon Zenker, and Dance Nation were pretty big back in the early 2000s...

I haven't heard of any of these remixers besides ramon. These remixes are going to be a complete surprise to me.

Lol, it looks like you are a big AyuTrance fan, I don't know why you aren't a fan of trance in general then. I mean, trance is such an amazing genre and you wouldn't believe how many amazing trance songs there are out there, blowing every Ayutrance song out of the water actually.

OMG, way too many. I listen to Armin van Buuren's A STATE OF TRANCE RADIO weekly and keep track of what songs I like and then download the HQ releases when they are available. I'll have to get around to making a thread or something someday. Lol. But I seriously am the personal DJ for all my friends - always throwing tracks their way, updating their iPods and stuff. I'm a trance nut - moving to New York next year to take courses in music production/DJing at a place called Dubspot so I can really get schooled the right way in all the top-notch programs with top-notch gear. Maybe one day I'll appear on an AYUTRANCE ALBUM!? Hahaha, if they keep making them that is.

I love ayu trance remixes but never listen to other trance stuff. I basically love vocal trance and it has to be Ayu's voice, because her voice suits this genre so pretty much and I don't want another voice beside hers :innocent
