^I read from wiki its an interlude so...

Maemi 13th November 2011 04:05 PM

I'm listening to the album right now, not really impressed with it like I was with Loud but we'll see...

NintendoHTF1242 13th November 2011 04:13 PM

Nice to see Rihanna has some creative input on this album. The lack of it on Loud was disappointing (though the album is still flawless so idc)

aloopy 13th November 2011 04:52 PM

Might be the first album of hers where I like all songs. Loud was really good but some songs felt lackluster, same with her previous albums, but Talk That Talk is really good. ;o
Just a shame that Birthday Cake isn't a full song.

ストロボ・EdGE 13th November 2011 05:18 PM

koumori 13th November 2011 05:56 PM

Listening now~ So far..it's her most consistent album to date. I really like it, it seems she has found a style that really works for her voice and image, imo.

No_Doubt 13th November 2011 09:02 PM

I like the new album! Although it pales in comparison to Rated R or Good Girl Gone Bad in my opinion, it is definitely as good if not better than Loud!

I really like You The One and Drunk On Love. We Found Love is still by far my favourite track though.

TITANIC 15th November 2011 07:52 AM

aww this album has grown in me. i really like we found love, where have you been, roc me out, farewell and drunk on love. kinda disappointed when she picked you da one for the 2nd single.

Aditmi Krisnasaki ~II~ 15th November 2011 12:50 PM

Just heard full ver. of You Da One and it's so good!! :D

NintendoHTF1242 15th November 2011 11:05 PM

I'm so conflicted. I feel like I should like "You Da One," but it's not sticking onto me...but anyway, waiting for the album to come out before I listen to a leak lol. But I like the good reception for it.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 16th November 2011 12:34 AM

of course, since I like where have you been, it will undoubtedly be the next single and it'll get so played out.

jbrat2219 16th November 2011 12:53 AM

I just came on here to say how I cried a liter of tears when Birthday Cake tragically ended on the leak. I'm glad they're making it a full version though.

rookies 16th November 2011 01:01 AM

The new album is good.

Fave songs: Birthday Cake (so addicted to that repetition of "Cake", lol).
You Da One, Where Have You Been, Roc Me Out (Rude Boy Part 2? Lol), We Found Love, and Talk That Talk.

I want Talk That Talk to be a single, maybe it might be the 3rd single.

Kingdom 16th November 2011 01:02 AM

It's not even my birthday, but he wanna lick the icing off...

This album is fxking hot! I love it so much.

ストロボ・EdGE 16th November 2011 02:43 AM

Jaw dropped to the iTunes previews.

Holy ****, her perviness has been cluminating since GGGB-era to this, an album essentially all about sex. I love what I've heard so far, but I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Also,
Talk That Talk fet. Jay Z = Rude Boy

emi♡ 16th November 2011 05:02 AM

You Da One grew on me seriously today...just because it was in my head ALL DAY.

it's STILL in my head. omg. So all I want to do is listen to it.

yey for birthday cake being a full song? lol

jbrat2219 16th November 2011 02:17 PM

I had Watch 'n' Learn stuck in my head ALL night. I couldn't sleep...

ストロボ・EdGE 16th November 2011 02:55 PM

I have to say this album is pretty killer.

The ONLY negative thing I can say is that Rihanna has basically completely lost her luster for good ballads. I miss the powerful and deep songs like Unfaithful, Rehab, and Take a Bow. LOUD and TTT's ballads or slower numbers have been pretty dull.

kotora 16th November 2011 03:14 PM

We have We Found Love and You Da One as the singles for this album so far.

If these following songs are not going to be singles for this album, I will be disappointed.
(1) Where have you been
(2) Roc Me Out
(3) Farewell

Corvina 16th November 2011 07:45 PM

Where Have You been is fantastic in full, as I thought. :heart
We Found Love is still awesome. Drunk On Love is another favourite of mine so far.
You Da One is really nice as well, can't get it out of my head that easily. XD
And what, how great is Birthday Cake? Really wanna a full version!D
Overall the album is cohesive, it flows very well.

Watch'n Learn is a bit too repetetive and boring, but the only song I really dislike is Cockiness, just not my type.
Still have to listen to the 3 bonus tracks, but it's a great album!
Better than Loud which was disappointing for me, though it had some highlights.

ストロボ・EdGE 20th November 2011 12:10 AM

Is the deluxe version a digipack or does it have a sleeve?

ll moments ll 20th November 2011 01:14 AM

i love Where Have You Been. it's my jam right now.

aloopy 20th November 2011 02:43 AM

Do Ya Thing is awesome, can't get it out of my head. @_@

Aditmi Krisnasaki ~II~ 20th November 2011 03:32 AM

Omg... Roc Me Out is like Rude Boy Part 2 for me! Can't get it out of ma head

and I've never liked RiRi's album as a WHOLE like this, so I guess TTT is her best effort yet! :D

Kingdom 21st November 2011 02:27 AM

My faves:

You Da One
We Found Love
Talk That Talk
Red Lipstick
Birthday Cake
Cockiness
Roc Me Out
Watch n Learn

Good/Okay:
We All Want Love
Do Ya Thang
Fool in Love
Where Have You Been
Farewell

So basically... I love this album! It's so dirty but sassy but well put together and the beats are.. :heart I think Rihanna Keeps getting better with each release.

TTT > Loud = Rated R > GGGB > aGLM > MotS

So glad it's a thick digipack... LOUD deluxe was kind of a letdown and I hate how frail the digipack was.

The deluxe for TTT comes with an extra 16 page booklet plus two album cover 'trading cards'.

Im not so fond of this album as most people seem to be, to me the only stand out tracks are We Found Love, Where have you been, Drunk on love, and Farewell, the rest are forgettable or annoying to say the least... I much preferred Loud as a whole, it was a lighter funner era, this feels like a step back into Rated R

Corvina 22nd November 2011 05:28 PM

I can totally say TTT is my favourite Riri album by far, it really is amazing!
Just skip Cockiness, the rest is on repeat.

thinkingoutloud89 22nd November 2011 06:58 PM

I think the album is even behind Rated R which is my least fav. I only like 3 songs and one is the first single I never got wram with to begin withh. Loud is her bets so far.

Saw a pop-up on facebook about the album. Im not that fond of Rihanna, but I always give her albums a try (she has lots of good songs though) My deluxe edition of Talk talk talk is now 15% downloading, and i gotta tell you that im now too excited because I read all positive comments. Whooee, will give you guys my own personal review of it, when everything is on iPod and all and have listened to all the tracks :)

bondingo 23rd November 2011 07:19 PM

I can't believe you guys like this...I've been obsessed with Rihanna since the seriously flawless GGGB and Rated R, but after that it's been a steady decline. Loud was half amazing, half filler/crap, but this album is about 3/4 crap and 1/4 good. It's filled with so many crap repetitive, irritating hooks and as a whole it just sounds to me like the epitome of why I haven't liked almost all mainstream American music since 2009 or so.

The songs I DO like are: Roc Me Out, Farewell, We All Want Love, Drunk On Love, and Red Lipstick (because it reminds me of Rated R).

NintendoHTF1242 24th November 2011 02:47 AM

Hmm...idk how I feel about the album...Like bondingo said, it feels really rushed/full of fillers...Birthday Cake is my jam though omg <3

The ballads are really lackluster here. I usually enjoy Alex da Kid's productions but Farewell is meh...Jay-Z needs to find his way out of Talk That Talk, his part is gross. The only songs I like are You da One, We Found Love, Cockiness (Love It), and Watch n' Learn. Maybe the album will grow on me...maybe not. We'll see.

I understand what you mean, but I just take it for what it is:

Pop music. Mainstream, commercial, even hackneyed pop music. It is what it is :shrug

When I want to tune into my psyche I listen to M83, The Radio Dept., or something with more substance, i.e not Rihanna, Katy, fill-in-essentially-any-pop-act-here. When I want to listen to something fun and dancey and lighthearted, I turn to pop. The truth is, there was never an era of brilliance to pop music- it's always been the same crap recycled and rebranded. In the end, pop music is all about selling and making money, and this is what makes money. IDK, it's just my view of it and how I accept it.

Still can't really get into Farewell (idk it feels really lackluster) and the track after Birthday Cake (honestly can't remember the name lol) but the other tracks are pretty good. Birthday Cake is so naughty XD The ending was unexpected too...never heard Rihanna flat-out say "let's ****"

ストロボ・EdGE 28th November 2011 05:18 AM

I'm not really listening to Drunk on Love, Roc Me Out, Watch n Learn or Red Lipstick. Everything else I've been listening to everyday since I got the album Monday~

I can imagine Talk That Talk being the next single, but jeez do I hate Jay Z's rap.

NintendoHTF1242 29th November 2011 03:52 AM

Ugh I wish Jay-Z wasn't in Talk That Talk :/ He's awful. What was her company thinking? And it probably will since Jay-Z is on it lol.

I also don't like Red Lipstick all too much, it's really boring (and I can't stand dubstep anyway [although I do love G4L lol]). Same with Fool in Love, it's too slow for me tbh. It goes nowhere. Do Ya Thang is okay.

Watch n' Learn is amazing though, idk what you talking about lol

Jay Z is her boss, lol.

Jay Z is ****. Why does he even have that job.

idk I love the album, but I think it IS repetative. I dont really mind though. I dont like any of the ballad acoustic-y tracks...cause I like dancy ghetto riri the best...so this album is pretty perfect for me lol

idk I dont take her music all that seriously, kinda like the koda. Birthday Cake <3 need full song. She better release it and it better not be a collabo.

I'd rather Birthday Cake be a single, if that was possible though.

ストロボ・EdGE 14th December 2011 05:06 AM

I've listened to Birthday Cake most on the album which is very surprising for me. I usually can't stand overtly sexual music.

Being a Rihanna fan so doesn't match up with me, lol. In any case, I pray for a full release of BC.

ImpactBreaker 20th December 2011 02:45 AM

Hmm...this album was somewhat different from when I listened to Rater R album (my favorite Rihanna album). Rated R started with boring tracks (which later grew on me) and kept getting better and better as the album went on. With Talk That Talk, when I started listening to it I thought "wow if this album keeps up the way with the way it started, I'll love it"...but after Birthday Cake, I find myself sleeping (literally) to the whole rest of the album until Do Ya Thang starts playing, which wakes me up (literally) and raises my interest again. I'm a little bit deceived lol But maybe some of the other stuff will grow in me.

People are starting to complain about how she just sings about sex all the friggin' time.

They even complained about You Da One's mv because of how she was grabbing her kuuchie all the time, and the song referred to it somehow apparently.

Talk That Talk is gonna be sexual or related to sex somehow for sure.

You should tell Rihanna this on Twitter.
She spends lots of time on there to read fans messages.

ストロボ・EdGE 12th January 2012 03:05 PM

Great that WFL has been such a success (longest charting single of 2011 at #1 and still at #2) but already TTT is going to be released while YDO has barely made an impact... We Found Love completely eclipsed it. Maybe they should've waited longer for a second single.

kotora 12th January 2012 05:31 PM

I think Rihanna has to slow down a bit. The market needs to get used to YDO and then TTT.

emi♡ 14th January 2012 12:54 PM

idk I find it odd that they'd expect YDO to really be that popular. TTT will eclipse it as well most likely. Why they chose it at all :shrug
