^I read from wiki its an interlude so...
|
I'm listening to the album right now, not really impressed with it like I was with Loud but we'll see...
|
Nice to see Rihanna has some creative input on this album. The lack of it on Loud was disappointing (though the album is still flawless so idc)
|
Might be the first album of hers where I like all songs. Loud was really good but some songs felt lackluster, same with her previous albums, but Talk That Talk is really good. ;o
Just a shame that Birthday Cake isn't a full song. |
It's too much of a hassle so I'm waiting for my CD, haha <3
Awesome that you all love it! |
I'm excited reading the comments here! :) Can't wait to listen to it later.
|
I must be dumb, but I just can't find a proper download link xD

Listening now~ So far..it's her most consistent album to date. I really like it, it seems she has found a style that really works for her voice and image, imo.
|
I like the new album! Although it pales in comparison to Rated R or Good Girl Gone Bad in my opinion, it is definitely as good if not better than Loud!
I really like You The One and Drunk On Love. We Found Love is still by far my favourite track though. |

aww this album has grown in me. i really like we found love, where have you been, roc me out, farewell and drunk on love. kinda disappointed when she picked you da one for the 2nd single.
|
Just heard full ver. of You Da One and it's so good!! :D
|
I'm so conflicted. I feel like I should like "You Da One," but it's not sticking onto me...but anyway, waiting for the album to come out before I listen to a leak lol. But I like the good reception for it.
|
of course, since I like where have you been, it will undoubtedly be the next single and it'll get so played out.
|
I just came on here to say how I cried a liter of tears when Birthday Cake tragically ended on the leak. I'm glad they're making it a full version though.
|
The new album is good.
Fave songs: Birthday Cake (so addicted to that repetition of "Cake", lol). You Da One, Where Have You Been, Roc Me Out (Rude Boy Part 2? Lol), We Found Love, and Talk That Talk. I want Talk That Talk to be a single, maybe it might be the 3rd single. |
It's not even my birthday, but he wanna lick the icing off...
This album is fxking hot! I love it so much. |
Jaw dropped to the iTunes previews.
Holy ****, her perviness has been cluminating since GGGB-era to this, an album essentially all about sex. I love what I've heard so far, but I'm not sure how I feel about that. Also, Talk That Talk fet. Jay Z = Rude Boy |
You Da One grew on me seriously today...just because it was in my head ALL DAY.
it's STILL in my head. omg. So all I want to do is listen to it. yey for birthday cake being a full song? lol |
I had Watch 'n' Learn stuck in my head ALL night. I couldn't sleep...
|
I have to say this album is pretty killer.
The ONLY negative thing I can say is that Rihanna has basically completely lost her luster for good ballads. I miss the powerful and deep songs like Unfaithful, Rehab, and Take a Bow. LOUD and TTT's ballads or slower numbers have been pretty dull. |
We have We Found Love and You Da One as the singles for this album so far.
If these following songs are not going to be singles for this album, I will be disappointed. (1) Where have you been (2) Roc Me Out (3) Farewell |
Where Have You been is fantastic in full, as I thought. :heart
We Found Love is still awesome. Drunk On Love is another favourite of mine so far. You Da One is really nice as well, can't get it out of my head that easily. XD And what, how great is Birthday Cake? Really wanna a full version!D Overall the album is cohesive, it flows very well. Watch'n Learn is a bit too repetetive and boring, but the only song I really dislike is Cockiness, just not my type. Still have to listen to the 3 bonus tracks, but it's a great album! Better than Loud which was disappointing for me, though it had some highlights. |
Is the deluxe version a digipack or does it have a sleeve?
|
just heard the leak recently and i really like the album! Loud didn't really do it for me, so i think TTT is an upgrade! :)
i love Where Have You Been. it's my jam right now. |
Do Ya Thing is awesome, can't get it out of my head. @_@
|
Omg... Roc Me Out is like Rude Boy Part 2 for me! Can't get it out of ma head
and I've never liked RiRi's album as a WHOLE like this, so I guess TTT is her best effort yet! :D |
My faves:
You Da One We Found Love Talk That Talk Red Lipstick Birthday Cake Cockiness Roc Me Out Watch n Learn Good/Okay: We All Want Love Do Ya Thang Fool in Love Where Have You Been Farewell So basically... I love this album! It's so dirty but sassy but well put together and the beats are.. :heart I think Rihanna Keeps getting better with each release. TTT > Loud = Rated R > GGGB > aGLM > MotS |
^we are totally on the same page.
|
:heart
|
agree that she is getting better and better, just she hasnt got an album which I can play the whole album without skip. in TTT I dont like cockiness and we all want love
|
Got the deluxe + poster today~
So glad it's a thick digipack... LOUD deluxe was kind of a letdown and I hate how frail the digipack was. The deluxe for TTT comes with an extra 16 page booklet plus two album cover 'trading cards'. |
My favourites have got to be:
You Da One Cockiness (Love It) Drunk On Love Farewell Where Have You Been We Found Love I really like the album as a whole though, has to be my favourite from her so far :) |
Favorites:
Fool in Love We Found Love Do Ya Thang Birthday Cake Talk That Talk You Da One We All Want Love |
Im not so fond of this album as most people seem to be, to me the only stand out tracks are We Found Love, Where have you been, Drunk on love, and Farewell, the rest are forgettable or annoying to say the least... I much preferred Loud as a whole, it was a lighter funner era, this feels like a step back into Rated R
|
I can totally say TTT is my favourite Riri album by far, it really is amazing!
Just skip Cockiness, the rest is on repeat. |
I think the album is even behind Rated R which is my least fav. I only like 3 songs and one is the first single I never got wram with to begin withh. Loud is her bets so far.
|
I'mma do it do it do it on the bed, on the floor, on the couch.
My boyfriend has officially fallen into the Rihanna trap. I can listen to my music in peace now. brb blaring it all over the apartment. |

I really like the packaging for the deluxe edition. The booklet is so strange though xDD I loved the sample perfume though!
I can't believe I didn't like We Found Love at first...I'm all over it now!! Can't wait to listen to the entire thing. |
my favorite songs so far in TTT
You Da One Cockiness Birthday Cake Where Have You Been <3<3 |
Saw a pop-up on facebook about the album. Im not that fond of Rihanna, but I always give her albums a try (she has lots of good songs though) My deluxe edition of Talk talk talk is now 15% downloading, and i gotta tell you that im now too excited because I read all positive comments. Whooee, will give you guys my own personal review of it, when everything is on iPod and all and have listened to all the tracks :)
|
I can't believe you guys like this...I've been obsessed with Rihanna since the seriously flawless GGGB and Rated R, but after that it's been a steady decline. Loud was half amazing, half filler/crap, but this album is about 3/4 crap and 1/4 good. It's filled with so many crap repetitive, irritating hooks and as a whole it just sounds to me like the epitome of why I haven't liked almost all mainstream American music since 2009 or so.
The songs I DO like are: Roc Me Out, Farewell, We All Want Love, Drunk On Love, and Red Lipstick (because it reminds me of Rated R). |
Hmm...idk how I feel about the album...Like bondingo said, it feels really rushed/full of fillers...Birthday Cake is my jam though omg <3
The ballads are really lackluster here. I usually enjoy Alex da Kid's productions but Farewell is meh...Jay-Z needs to find his way out of Talk That Talk, his part is gross. The only songs I like are You da One, We Found Love, Cockiness (Love It), and Watch n' Learn. Maybe the album will grow on me...maybe not. We'll see. |

Pop music. Mainstream, commercial, even hackneyed pop music. It is what it is :shrug When I want to tune into my psyche I listen to M83, The Radio Dept., or something with more substance, i.e not Rihanna, Katy, fill-in-essentially-any-pop-act-here. When I want to listen to something fun and dancey and lighthearted, I turn to pop. The truth is, there was never an era of brilliance to pop music- it's always been the same crap recycled and rebranded. In the end, pop music is all about selling and making money, and this is what makes money. IDK, it's just my view of it and how I accept it. |

i only like We Found Love, Talk That Talk and Drunk On Love...
GGGB was insurmountable. |
YDO MV, when will you comeeeee......
|
Well, the album is growing onto me! Still can't really get into Farewell (idk it feels really lackluster) and the track after Birthday Cake (honestly can't remember the name lol) but the other tracks are pretty good. Birthday Cake is so naughty XD The ending was unexpected too...never heard Rihanna flat-out say "let's ****"
|
I'm not really listening to Drunk on Love, Roc Me Out, Watch n Learn or Red Lipstick. Everything else I've been listening to everyday since I got the album Monday~
I can imagine Talk That Talk being the next single, but jeez do I hate Jay Z's rap. |
Ugh I wish Jay-Z wasn't in Talk That Talk :/ He's awful. What was her company thinking? And it probably will since Jay-Z is on it lol.
I also don't like Red Lipstick all too much, it's really boring (and I can't stand dubstep anyway [although I do love G4L lol]). Same with Fool in Love, it's too slow for me tbh. It goes nowhere. Do Ya Thang is okay. Watch n' Learn is amazing though, idk what you talking about lol |
Jay Z is her boss, lol.
|
This album is still rocking my speakers. :heart I wanna buy it but my boyfriend is making me wait til christmas :(
Do Ya Thang is easily my new favorite. It grew on me a lot! & I love Red Lipstick. How can you not like it!!! |
I don't particularly dislike Red Lipstick or Watch n Learn, I just don't listen to them. Just like I didn't really listen to CKB until it was a single.
|
Jay Z is ****. Why does he even have that job.
idk I love the album, but I think it IS repetative. I dont really mind though. I dont like any of the ballad acoustic-y tracks...cause I like dancy ghetto riri the best...so this album is pretty perfect for me lol idk I dont take her music all that seriously, kinda like the koda. Birthday Cake <3 need full song. She better release it and it better not be a collabo. |
heheh Jay Z is the one who made her success with Umbrella
|
cant wait for Birthday Cake extended ver. *¬*~
btw, TALK THAT TALK sold 14,649 copies on its debut week in Japan, gettin the #12 position at Oricon Weekly Album Charts =D |

|
I think Jay-Z's part in Umbrella is annoying as hell lol the song is what it is all thanks to Rihanna herself :rolleyes
|
The pictures from the YDO video show her nipple rings off.. and she's wearing an ugly blonde wig. :s
|
OMG I listened to Farewell and that is the magnum opus of the entire album. Farewell is SO beautiful.
|
Farewell is very nice, I just got to listening to it more. I was listening to Fool in Love most, of the ballads.
I wonder if one of the singles off this album will be a ballad. :think |
I love everything, the album is totally flawless to me :P
Farewell is, a perfect ending. And I hope most songs become singles, since they've all got the potential to become one! |
Farewell is such an amazing ballad with a deep lyrics..
|
YAY more farewell fans :)
yea it is such a great song..the lyrics are so.. sad |
I so love Farwell as well!
The lyrics are so touching and bittersweet. |
Need YDO PV before the song gets old please.
|
I need Cockiness to be a single. :)
|
That'd be hilarious.
|
ohh I hate cockiness.

I only like the opening lines and the "I love it when you eat it" parts. But other than that, the song is really unmemorable and I don't see it being a hit nor being allowed to be played on radios lol
|
I just like it cause it's hella ghetto. Reminds me of the ghetto rap my cousins listen to lol
I'd rather Birthday Cake be a single, if that was possible though. |
I've listened to Birthday Cake most on the album which is very surprising for me. I usually can't stand overtly sexual music.
Being a Rihanna fan so doesn't match up with me, lol. In any case, I pray for a full release of BC. |
Hmm...this album was somewhat different from when I listened to Rater R album (my favorite Rihanna album). Rated R started with boring tracks (which later grew on me) and kept getting better and better as the album went on. With Talk That Talk, when I started listening to it I thought "wow if this album keeps up the way with the way it started, I'll love it"...but after Birthday Cake, I find myself sleeping (literally) to the whole rest of the album until Do Ya Thang starts playing, which wakes me up (literally) and raises my interest again. I'm a little bit deceived lol But maybe some of the other stuff will grow in me.
|

So want it. |
|
she looks pretty in blonde hair :D
|
looooooooooooooove it <3
|
I totally love the style the video is in! <3
And the blonde hair fits her pretty well here. |
Nicole Scherzinjfdhafsder has a new song featuring Rihanna.
|
Nicole is still trying to stay relevant? Lol!
|

^I never even noticed it. Still haven't listened to it yet. Probably never will.
|
Talk That Talk is the next single, and will feature Kanye West (he's going to rap in the song). I think Jay-Z's part is still in the song, so it's the 3 of them.
|
How predictable.
Uhmmm I need Where Have You Been as a single asap! |
ew I wish he would have been replaced. Oh well.
|
^ I'd like only Rihanna in that song without any rapper. oh well I hope Talk That Talk fail cuz I don't like that song. where have you been should be released as the next single ASAP
|
I hope Talk That Talk MV will change the way I think about this song.
I didn't like You Da One at all, but after watching the music video, I love this song. |
People are starting to complain about how she just sings about sex all the friggin' time.
They even complained about You Da One's mv because of how she was grabbing her kuuchie all the time, and the song referred to it somehow apparently. Talk That Talk is gonna be sexual or related to sex somehow for sure. I don't know, I'm kinda bored of the sex theme too, but I can't see her doing anything else being less sexual :shrug Plus this last album is very sexual. |
|
Can Jay-Z please be removed from Talk That Talk so that I can listen to the song? Instrumentation is so awesome and fun, but Jay-Z just ruins it with his monotone rapping and awful lyrics.
|
Quote:
She spends lots of time on there to read fans messages. |
Great that WFL has been such a success (longest charting single of 2011 at #1 and still at #2) but already TTT is going to be released while YDO has barely made an impact... We Found Love completely eclipsed it. Maybe they should've waited longer for a second single.
|
I think Rihanna has to slow down a bit. The market needs to get used to YDO and then TTT.
|
idk I find it odd that they'd expect YDO to really be that popular. TTT will eclipse it as well most likely. Why they chose it at all :shrug
I don't think she'll ever get rid of Jay-Z either...sadly...no one will ever get rid of him. |
|
Remember me, Simba.
