Also, it's going to be 1st year anniversary for her, why Mannie isn't there with her? He's been facebooking about some other concert he's attending these days, I know they aren't typical marriage but it's their anniversary, I just hope he's not the reason for her lack of energy.

AyuGAME^ you should update your banner ;)

maybe..you are right...

LOL..i don't realise that it's said FIVE coming soon!...LOL

i will change it tomorrow...

aura~ 30th December 2011 03:20 PM

Yep... I also feel lucky my first attended show was RnRC 7days.... I never expect a lot from CDL as are often 'less' than the tours... Maybe we all were expecting a huge show as this was supposed to be a tour...??

I also don't understand why he took out 3 songs today and didn't replace them...

I'm watching the UStream tomorrow, I hope I'm not disappointed xD

chibishun 30th December 2011 03:36 PM

I was totally not satisfied with today's live.
1. She made us wait 30 mins and cut out 3 songs. I mean, it's not fair bcuz everyone pays the same for every shows, or more expensive, since CDL ticket is hard to get and ppl usually has to use auction/reseller for it.

2. Setlist seems randomly shuffled from list of her songs. No continuity, theme, etc. And the whole live seems very unenergetic and boring. I kept chatting with Lee_chan the whole live.

3. MC was really short. 3 mins max. She only said that tomorrow is her 13th appearance at Kohaku, and this is her 12th year performing at Yoyogi. Then she said she had a new song and started singing how beautiful you are.
It made this live sounds more like rehearsal than a real live.

And she needs to stop abusing tissue dances and clowns IMO. Those came out at almost every interlude -.-;

Feel like being deceived with lesser songs. She didn't really move and interact with the audience, not until Flower Garden. Tissue dancers & clowns.. do it agaaiin... agaiiin... and agaaiinn....
When MY ALL started to play, I was like "HUH?! It's over already?!"

Where did the AWESOMENESS of PoM go???? Seriously I wanna cry...

*end of story*

:no Oh, no. Ayu, Ayu...what happened to you?:(

YUKARI 30th December 2011 03:43 PM

yeaah, I'm glad my trip to Japan was cancelled. I'd die if ayu disappointed me lol.

it seems like she's just tired.. doing all those tours all year, 12 years CDL... may be she was invited to Best Artist and MSSL, but cancelled due to her tiredness? I feel like something's happened behind the scenes.

AyumiAi 30th December 2011 04:01 PM

this worries me :( If audiences are not pleased they could stop attending ayu's shows....

That is pretty much exactly what she said on the 30th as well.

ayumisrael 30th December 2011 04:41 PM

I just hope that the people who are not satisfied share it with ayu on twitter or Team ayu since she gotta know what people think in order to make things better.

freedreamer 30th December 2011 04:55 PM

^that would be one way. but KINDLY in a constructive manner lol

ayumisrael 30th December 2011 04:59 PM

Yes of course.

I don't mind sending her a TA message with people's thoughts if everything will be summerized nicely in one place/post :)

YUKARI 30th December 2011 05:12 PM

btw why there's no song from FIVE album?

Earth_maiden 30th December 2011 05:18 PM

I don't think its necessary to send Ayu any criticism at this point, they still have the final show to do tomorrow which will probably be better than today's show. Plus I personally just don't see the point, Ayu has always done what she wants to do, I don't think that will change if she gets a few tweets telling her (respectively) that her show wasn't up to scratch.

I can understand people being disappointed, especially those of you who paid to see her and have been left with a bitter taste. I don't know, I just wouldn't feel right telling Ayu that something she's worked on was unsatisfactory to me. But that's just me. :innocent

I actually prefer CDL concerts to Arena Tours, so hearing all the negative feedback is pretty depressing for me. :(

SURREAL__RAINBOW 30th December 2011 05:31 PM

Gonna say this but whatever lol She better get pregnant soon so she gets forced to take a break

indyplus 30th December 2011 05:33 PM

I'm so surprised to read all these negative comments... I attended both 29th and 30th and I loved the show. *.* I loved her voice, her costumes, the stage, the setlist... everything. I can't wait for the last concert. :)

I also don't think this was the show that was originally AT11. But I think some performances were included. Or maybe it is, who knows. But this was really a great CDL!!!

Oh, and Party queen and how beautiful you are are soooooo AMAZING!! :love

tokyoxjapanxfan 30th December 2011 05:41 PM

I can't believe she cut evolution and AUDIENCE yesterday...

alternarist 30th December 2011 06:11 PM

kinda shocked that she cut evolution. that will most probably be the first concert, without evolution! But u guys got what u want!! to axe evolution!

and i seriously think that this CDL was meant to be disappointing so that we will be pleasantly surprised by AT12! if AT12 is the same as CDL1112, then it will be the biggest disappointment ever.

AyuWorld 30th December 2011 06:12 PM

just bought my ticket! ^^ so going to avoid those comments and reviews until i watch it myself tomorrow xD

ayumisrael 30th December 2011 06:12 PM

Yeah I wonder how is it people aren't celebrating evolution's disappearance :laugh

Chibi-Chan 30th December 2011 06:42 PM

I know she had bronchitis or something during CDL 02-03 - which I'm sure permanently messed up her voice. But even before that when she was promoting Voyage, her throat sounded like it was in poor shape, probably from general overwork/straining.

Well, yes there is. What you are talking about is a different matter. A bad vocal technique affects the vocal chords, not the lungs (or the breath capabilities, to be more precise)

Actually, i just saw my opera teacher today and asked how smoking affects your vocal capacity. She explained to me that the lung capacity is the same, but (this is a quote from wikipedia because she speaks to me in spanish):

"Narrowing of the airways (caused by constant smoking) reduces the rate at which air can flow to and from the air sacs (alveoli) and limits the effectiveness of the lungs" and ergo your lung capacity is decreased, which is what i meant before when i mentioned i felt her lung capacity is short.

Also, my teacher said that smoking indeed deepens (is that correct? otherwise , i mean it makes deeper) voices, she told me she knows a lot of people (singers) whose voices have changed because of this habit. I mean, that's a common consequence from smoking.

That's the point. From what i've heard, she hasn't worked enough and thus this is the result, a very poor performance and a show that is set just to get out of the way. If it was my money i would complain.

I don't wanna sound mean, but I truly believe there is something really bad happening backwards. Either personally or due to a health issue. Whatever it is, i hope she'll be able to solve that problem because whatever is going on is affecting her performance.

zellyx 30th December 2011 09:00 PM

disappointed to hear the reviews, but looking forward to Arena Tour, which will be the aftermath of this CDL.
Fans can be so vicious, and I'm sure if the shows continue to be 'disappointing', as much as people don't want to, they will probably complain... (i.e. FIVE, collabs, Shuya/dancers..)
And she reacts to that so personally...then Arena Tour will be shaped with some more direction. It'll probably be more cohesive and interactive, and hopefully less dancers.

I feel like CDL this year is a "warm up" to the AT Love Songs! like a test run, as weird as that sounds..

I'm happy that at least one person here enjoyed it. :yes That makes me happy, maybe it isn't that bad at all.

truehappiness 30th December 2011 10:36 PM

I don't think people (here) are ever really that satisfied after CDLs, to be honest. We haven't ever really had this many users attend CDL so there's that as well.

Great to hear that indyplus enjoyed the show though!

emi♡ 30th December 2011 10:40 PM

I don't think I've ever heard so many bad reviews about a concert though.

Even from Ayu, they're always like, so caught up in her charisma and the experience of being at the show, it's always so wonderful.

I wonder why she decided to not talk to the audience so much.

ayuuk 30th December 2011 11:03 PM

I am going to watch it on Ustream tomorrow, so I try very hard not to read the reviews. I was at Yoyogi for both days of
"CDL 2010-11 ~do it again~" and really like it, and I actually like CDLs more than Tours, so I am kinda surprised that people who attend the CDL say bad things about this year's CDL. Anyway, hope tomorrow's will be a good one.

Midori-chan 30th December 2011 11:05 PM

I LOVE the outfit with the black hat!! Ayu looks soooooo cute in it! :smitten

And the setlist sounds interesting!! :yes

Coelacanth 30th December 2011 11:11 PM

As far as I'm concerned, y'all are lucky she's still even doing these concerts. She really doesn't have to spend every New Year's holiday entertaining people. I feel bad for her in that respect. I also think some people underestimate the amount of work involved in preparing for a CDL vs. an ARENA TOUR. Think about how long she has to prepare for an ARENA TOUR taping vs. a CDL taping. I'm fairly certain the shows before the 31st ARE treated as rehearsals, sorry to say.

Does anyone think any of her CDL's actually match the quality of her tours anyway? I have never seen the big deal about these concerts. They're always poorly rehearsed, poorly planned, and poorly put-together. I stopped caring after PCDL where she lip-synched basically the entire concert and then had the gall to release it as a live audio CD later on. CDLs are nothing but a quick buck for Avex and Ayu. They know die-hard fans are gonna pay anything to see it because it's a ~special~ two-night only thing. Then they can release a DVD that thousands and thousands more people will buy... Granted, if I had the money I'd go in a heartbeat but I still wouldn't expect a showstopper - especially with her current vocal ability and increasing presence of her corny dancers and staff.

KPL 30th December 2011 11:37 PM

Guys don't be spoiled. CDL has never been great except maybe for PCDL when we had premium setlist.

TeamAyu2004 30th December 2011 11:46 PM

^ that was a huge CDL. Wish I could of seen that!

truehappiness 30th December 2011 11:49 PM

I thought PCDL was hugely affected by when she broke her finger(s) which is why it kind of ended up the way it did. It still was a good concert imo despite some extreme cheesiness, lol.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 30th December 2011 11:54 PM

Uhmm what is this about CDLs not being great?? Is not like CDL05-06 isn't one of her best concerts ever :rolleyes

emi♡ 31st December 2011 12:00 AM

um I disagree. I know the shows were never OMFG amazing, and certainly not as amazing as regular tours...

but they should still be a good show :shrug

If she's going to perform ******, then she shouldnt be performing at all. And she knows that.

I dont know why she just doesnt do stripped down shows. Her and the band on the stage.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 31st December 2011 12:04 AM

That's because she just has to have her dancers doing crappy **** in every single damn concert lol

emi♡ 31st December 2011 12:06 AM

this is why I really dont know wth goes through her mind sometimes.

I'm sorry to say it, but Ayu is just kinda stupid sometimes.

Anyway, we all are still hoping Ayu is pregnant.

ayumisrael 31st December 2011 12:07 AM

That's how she likes it I suppose :P

^Saying that ayu is stupid (sometimes) is going too far though.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 31st December 2011 12:08 AM

lol I don't even know anymore.

Maybe she's going crazy.

Or J-hobo and Paella are doing some voodoo against her or something.

emi♡ 31st December 2011 12:09 AM

^^It is, and I always said, fine, if she's happy then she's happy. That's what's important.

but idk, some people may not agree.

and I know it's going too far sometimes, but, that's just how I feel sometimes. People are welcome to not like it and disagree.

HilaryDuffFanboy 31st December 2011 12:14 AM

Her last 2 CDLs it seems have been rushed and crap, but CDL 09-10 Future Classics is one of the best.

tasking 31st December 2011 12:17 AM

You know, come to think of it, CDL 05-06 is the only CDL I like, besides PCDL. And PCDL is only because the setlist is so awesome.

Though CDL 06-07 wasn't so bad either, and they rehashed old performances for that one.

ayumisrael 31st December 2011 12:17 AM

I actually loved the last CDL very much.

Are ayu and kuu are syncing or something? :laugh

emi♡ 31st December 2011 12:20 AM

well Ayu is also popping out a song that says she's the party queen, so maybe they are.

Mirrorcle Monster 31st December 2011 12:21 AM

I just watched on twitter some fans waiting for an official pregnancy announcement tonight. Please NO, i want Ayu to have a baby, but please not from Mannie

SURREAL__RAINBOW 31st December 2011 12:23 AM

baby pleaseeeeeeeeeee!! please please please please

ayumisrael 31st December 2011 12:24 AM

If she's pregnant though how come there will be AT2012? She shouldn't be able to do so with a baby inside and a getting big belly :P

SURREAL__RAINBOW 31st December 2011 12:27 AM

It could still be cancelled.

roanmy 31st December 2011 12:27 AM

I really doubt that. I mean, she probably wouldn't say anything until she's about three months along, as is the norm I think. remember Kuu didn't want to tell people right away either, but then everyone guessed it on their own.
Secondly, IF she was three months along, wouldn't it show a little?

Of course, there is the chance that she's telling earlier in the pregnancy, or doesn't show any yet, but I don't see it. Would be great for her though.

We'll see soon enough. =P

HilaryDuffFanboy 31st December 2011 12:29 AM

RE: Pregnancy

Ayu hasn't seen Mannie, not that we know of.... and also she was wearing heels throughout last night, usually artists dont wear heels if they are pregnant and doing a show, she even walked through a wet stage (after November).

But then again, when she started 30 mins late I was thinking of a million possible reasons why, morning sickness was one of them as well as uncontrollable diarrhoea!

roanmy 31st December 2011 12:30 AM

Hahahah! I lol'ed!

relmy 31st December 2011 12:34 AM

Then in years time, this means Kuu baby can marry Ayu baby and produce super-Diva baby together ♥

Mannie is her husband, so if she is pregnant or ever does get pregnant, I would suspect that it will be Mannie's.

I'm starting to think maybe she is just extremely worn out. Ayu needs to take a break, at least a year off would do Ayu some good. :yes

isthisLOL? 31st December 2011 12:53 AM

Normally these pregnancy rumours are completely out of the air but her major boobage, her sitting around, cutting upbeat songs and being so late all let it appear possible.
However she may just have a few bad days, too so let's not go "omg she's preggos!!!" :)

Still excited to watch it, even though I'll have to wait for a rip of the concert, probably won't get that until in like 5 or 6 days :(

Coelacanth 31st December 2011 12:55 AM

Oh, I forgot about CDL 05-06. I do think that was a great concert. I like her first CDL 00-01 as well, although it was far from extravagant.

Fans really think she's pregnant? I mean, if she was actively trying to get pregnant she wouldn't still announce an ARENA TOUR for 2012. Unless she plans on sitting on a couch for the entire concert.

BlackSilence 31st December 2011 12:59 AM

I really hope its not part of her plan here on out to make lives disappointing on purpose.:thud Arena tour or CDL; it shouldn't matter. People still pay the same amount to get in. And often times much more for a CDL actually.

One has nothing to do with the other. Compared to every other CDL, this wasn't very good imo. And even worse if this is indeed a lot of what will be used for the Arena tour. There was just something in general that felt lacking.

I am also getting that sneaking feeling that we are once again in for some kind of huge end of the year announcement out of no where...

CDL05-06 was stunning but it's the exception. It was pretty panned at the time when we saw the TV broadcast btw.... then the DVD came out and everyone forgot that they hated it, lol. I've enjoyed watching most of the CDLs since I became a fan (04-05 onward) but they definitely are kind of like appetizers compared to the main courses that the tours are. They give Ayu a chance to perform normally unperformed songs (in this case I think she did mostly newer tracks she hadn't done before compared to say a teddy bear/TO BE/acoustic set kind of thing) and fans get another concert to look forward to in addition to the tour. Lately though she seems to have been jampacking CDLs with tracks we've already seen like 5-6 times so that's kind of sad.

Also... how would Ayu have gotten pregnant? Skype transmission? I don't think pregnancies work that way.

Quote:

30 minutes late is pretty normal for Ayu concerts though. They might as well schedule them a bit later but she'd probably end up late anyway.

CDL 05-06 is my favourite CDL of all times! :-) The vocals were so good for the most part of the show even in unedited TV broadcast, and Ayu looked stunning with dark hair, like completely different person (it's still my favourite image of her)! And I loved the show itself too:love

No it's not. I've never been to an Ayu show that is more than 15 minutes late. She may have at some point had a show start 30 minutes late before, but I wouldn't call it a common occurrence.

Also, assuming that her marriage is valid, I'm sure they have seen each other more than just on Skype.

HilaryDuffFanboy 31st December 2011 01:36 AM

Yeah I'd like to say Mannie went to London but judging on tweets that doesn't seem true....

Also agree with SunshineSlayer, she is never 30 mins late, 15 mins tops.

By the way, I too, am also waiting for an announcement tonight after last two nights questionable performances. If there is an announcement, it'd make the super short MCs on the 29th and 30th make sense because she doesn't want to spill.

I was thinking more of big announcement of new single in Feb and new album later on in year and finally acknowledging Party Queen (we only assume its called Party Queen)

saigodansu 31st December 2011 01:37 AM

Leslie was in LA during POM, took the book with him and did the photoshoot for Mannie's book although the only thing he was tweeting was about being in LA for a japanese celebrity's shoot.

Hmmm, as far as I can remember though, super short MCs seem to be normal for the non-New Year's CDLs, and then the New Year's one is like 45 minutes long, lol. It was the case last year as well with the introduction of some new dancers and Daichi Hamasaki... and that was it. For Future Classics, the MCs before New Year's was handled by Zin and Subaru it seems and wasn't that great either.

KPL 31st December 2011 02:02 AM

BTW, is there a chance that Party Queen is actually a cover? (though I hope not)

Now that we had two days of CDL, and the A CLIP BOX Blu-ray version is being sold at the venue, I wonder why there isn't any real item pics of the box? Or maybe someone has already posted it somewhere, and I just missed it? :P

BTW, is there a chance that Party Queen is actually a cover? (though I hope not)

I think she introduced it as a new song. Basically every blog that reviewed the concert listed it as such.

There are a LOT of photos of the box floating around. Click around this search link to check them out~

Photos are also floating around in the A CLIP BOX thread.

^Thanks, i saw the box as a whole, but still couldn't find pics of the 4 Blu-ray discs. Do they form an "A" logo when put together?

Hmmm, as far as I can remember though, super short MCs seem to be normal for the non-New Year's CDLs, and then the New Year's one is like 45 minutes long, lol. It was the case last year as well with the introduction of some new dancers and Daichi Hamasaki... and that was it. For Future Classics, the MCs before New Year's was handled by Zin and Subaru it seems and wasn't that great either.

The non-new years ones are always long too, just like any of her tour dates. Last years was shorter though; but not this brief. But maybe they have changed how she does her lives in general as the MC has been having a bit less importance over the past year it seems.

Yes, they do. However the tops of the Blu-ray cases cut off the design so it doesn't look as good.

As far as CDLs go, my best is still PCDL. In terms of vocal quality (I heard the unedited first-broadcast TV version mp3 rips and they're almost all pitch-perfect), setlist (absolutely amazing for me; touches all my right spots. Excuse the expression), costumes (don't even get me started on this), stage... gah. Everything about PCDL is dear to me.

Anyway, I hope she has something good to announce in the last show. Like the name of a new single/albumwhatever. Or that she's pregnant. Anything. (Although, per last year, she announced her marriage after the new year, so, it's not impossible that she'll go all silent in the last show as well and then BOOM, a wild TA entry about pregnancy appears! *Pardon the 9Gag reference)

HilaryDuffFanboy 31st December 2011 02:26 AM

Yeah no more *wait for everyone to shut up* "Arigatou gozai mashita!!!"

30 minutes late is pretty normal for Ayu concerts though. They might as well schedule them a bit later but she'd probably end up late anyway.

I find that very unlikely. Ayu's never really canceled anything completely unless she absolutely had to like for a-nation '05 or whatever when she got super sick or when she couldn't make it to Japan for MS.

Ehh, if she's pregnant she would have to cancel, that's like obvious.

That would be interesting. Even moreso if it was during the concert, lol.

It's also obvious that if she were to be pregnant, there was no point in even scheduling the tour at all, unless somehow she became pregnant in the weeks since that announcement?

I find it funny how Ayu almost always has a bit of pregnancy/retirement buzz every year. Usually because of her Hammysackies.

yamadashun 31st December 2011 02:37 AM

and people will start assuming that the new song "How beautiful you are" is dedicated to her unborn child :-X

TeamAyu2004 31st December 2011 02:44 AM

chu-lips 31st December 2011 04:53 AM

lol

AyUmIXx 31st December 2011 05:22 AM

Pregnant? How come?
Ayu and Mannie barely meet throughout the year XDD

freedreamer 31st December 2011 05:24 AM

It could make sense that she pregnant and so There can't be a new AT12 for the new year because all that rehearsals would be mad. My as well stick to something of old and shorten it but make it AT-worthy a second time

adantatu2 31st December 2011 05:36 AM

maybe is a baby from timmy, j/k

I don't think she is pregnant honestly.

brener 31st December 2011 05:48 AM

when they did have sex then? o-o' its been ages since we dont see each other together..

Andrenekoi 31st December 2011 06:21 AM

Do you guys really believe we are aware of every step Ayu or Mannie take? They can be seeing eachother every month without anybody here knowing it... It's even a little pretentious to believe we know how is their marriage going considering how little information about Ayu's personal life we have.

ExodusUK 31st December 2011 09:38 AM

waterballoon 31st December 2011 09:41 AM

isn't it obvious? Leslie Kee's the surrogate mum :rolleyes

stivenoto 31st December 2011 09:49 AM

i dont think ayu is pregnant, but i hope she will...

Ayu has announce her tour 2012, so there is no reason that she is pregnant...
Maybe she cut the song, to save the energy for the final show...

Mai82Go 31st December 2011 09:58 AM

I also don't really believe that she's pregnant. Ayu is smart enough to know that her pregnancy probably means the end of her career and even though we don't know how often she met Mannie, there are ways to prevent a pregnancy and a woman can only get pregnant on certain days. Also I have the feeling that Ayu doesn't really want children and that she didn't get married for that reason. BUT I think there might be something wrong with her anyway. Missing out on most end of the year shows except Kouhaku, it feels weird. I don't understand the purpose of doing a third CDL date when she feels bad though. But maybe that was announced before she felt that way. I think people often forget that Ayu is not in the best shape and totally healthy. She has a few crosses to bear and who knows what might have happened to her.
