You know what I'm noticing this time around. We actually don't care that they're adding a new member. If anything, we're looking forward to it this time and hoping it revitalizes the group.
Last time we were pissed. Now we'll just take whatever we can get to hopefully get After School back to where it was. I know I'm not mad about this, when I was borderline ready to leave them the last time it happened. After School needs help period and I hope this girl can do it. The fact that she's so young though, makes me think she may just be the next E-Young. Just wafting through the group, obscured in the background with no purpose. Hopefully she's very mature, confident and outspoken though and forces herself to be reckoned with. I love her look in the picture in this thread. She definitely looks like a formidable threat there. Let's hope she has the personality to back it up. Because E-Young's time came and went and was basically a waste of an addition if you look at it realistically. I don't regret being mad about that one at all. A Waste. Make this one count. When they announced that they would add a new member in 2010 most people thought it would be Min Kyung. But they added E-young. This time, we thought they might add Yoonjo, Ara or Min Kyung but they added Ga Eun... |
I don't get what they were trying to do with E-young tbh. She has a lot of talent but it's not really anything that can be (or is being used) used in After School. It's been over a year since she joined! Hopefully she'll get some shine soon.

Yesterday, my friend who isnt THAT into K-pop was telling me, "How come After School is adding members too? How come everyone is adding members now?" so I explained to him. and note, he isnt even someone who knows After School at all, except that I love them.
So my point is, i think Pledis cashed in on the situation of the current T-ara issue and now, even non-fans have knowledge about the news and there is a possibility that they will pay attention to AS's comeback in June. (I even got one of my friends to look at Ara and Yoonjo before the day before the news was announced and he found them really cute...though, they werent added in). And yet again, I think Pledis is just using Ara, Yoonjo and the other Known trainees to give more anticipation for fans. The longer the dont debut, the longer we will keep a lookout. |
