#1 daily! :woohoo:
"Who's got it better than us? Nobody!" - San Francisco 49ers quote |
Sparrow has the deepest lyrics out of the new songs, I think. It shows her doubts about choosing to try new music styles: will my currrent fans dislike it and leave? etc. I've translated it~ (one line confused me so left it blank.)
Sparrow (translation) Spoiler:
|
Sparrow is the best thing that came out from Delight really, I was about to request the translation and now you provide it tenshi, thanks!
This is great, I wish the song had a PV. EDIT Oh btw tenshi, can I put your translation in other forum? As usual I will give you credit as well, kinda miss your translation since Hikari e actually :D |
^ sure, go ahead.
|
I'm really liking this album, I might just complement it with my bus rides!
|
I really like Delight. It's not the life-changing masterpiece I was secretly hoping it would be, but it's a very nice album with no bad songs. Delight and Hikari e remain amazing and Sparrow and LOUD join the Awesome Team. 321 I don't really like (there's something weird about the chorus) and My Best Friend is so... filler, couldn't they have made it a hidden track or something. The rest of the songs are good, no complaints there. I just wish the album were a bit longer; with only 11 tracks, two of which I tend to skip, it just feels like it ends too abruptly.
|
Yeah, 11 tracks...isn't that a bit too low for an album? Usually we have 14, like her first two albums.
|
I finally listened the full album. I had lost interest in her but this album makes me want to follow her again. I like that she's trying new styles. Delight, Sayonara, LOUD, Sparrow and Hikari He are my favorites :heart
And I really love the way her voice sounds in the English part of LOUD's chorus for some reason :laugh EDIT: I bought the album~ (the joys of temporarily living in Japan ;) ). I made some quick photos of the booklet: Spoiler:
|
^ it's been the same for me too, love this album so much. Too bad it's so short >o<
|
Delight is a really nice album to listen to, I also like that she's trying new things <3
LOUD is my favorite track, but Sparrow and Delight are great too. |
It's a good album, i'm glad she wants to try different things. I wonder why she doesn't wanna include Smile, it's a nice song too

Can't wait for my copies to arrive (well, I've too underestimate this album so I bought it using SAL when preordering it, and now I regret it for not using EMS as usual, lol) |
Unbelievable sales!
|
1st Week
Peak: #1 Sales: 69,066 Amazing, maybe this album is going to sell more than ayuma and her LOVE again. |
Quote:
...but for ayu fans: :( (Yeah, Ayu fans are either going to feel ashamed, or Ayu's almost 35...) |
Nice to see she's getting good sales.
I translated LOUD :D Spoiler:
|
Thanks tenshi no hane for the album scans and the translations, you're amazing! :)
I really like this album more than the previous two (both of which I didn't really get into). Delight (the song) is SO intense, the instruments chosen were so effective and catchy. It's impossible not to remember that song. The other new songs were very good too, but I was especially impressed by the production that went into the song Delight. Going to re-listen and order this. |
New song "Kiss you" will be opening theme song for the TV anime "Gin no Saji - Silver Spoon," which will begin airing on Fuji TV's noitaminA block on July 11.

Just wondering, the day Delight released, they announce that BD/DVD for her budokan tour is going to be release on 24/7/2013, but still no further info on it... I hope she's not going to be like ayaka, bundling single with her tour DVD/BD, lol. |
:happybday
HTMSD, you forgot that it's miwa's 23rd birthday!!! It's June 15th already!!! (it's also my 20th birthday as well) |
^^thanks for the info !!!
Really, her birthday ? Happy birthday miwa-san !!! You are older than me but you looks like a little girl |
Congrats, miwa! :heart
I didn't know me and miwa are almost the same age. I'll be 23 next week. |
Her new single "Faraway / Kiss you" will be released on September 4.
http://natalie.mu/music/news/93780 |
Her first double a-side single, yay!!. September is so faraway, XD.
|
Yay new single!!! This time a double A-side! I can't wait until September!
|
|
I'm glad this is a double a-side single because honestly Kiss you is boring for me, maybe it'll grow later like Otoshimono or Kataomoi
|
I don't see miwa on my Kinokuniya in Seattle...WHAT!? She's getting really popular, but why did I not see a SINGLE CD in a Kinokuniya??? Not even Delight???
|
Hello everyone! I have a little something I'd like to ask help with. Not sure if this is the best place but here goes...
Thing is, I'm leaving to Osaka for a holiday next week and now I've noticed that miwa's Delight tour is stopping in Kobe while I'm still around (the 1st of August show, to be exact) and I'd really like to go see her while I have the chance. However, I'm not sure how to go about buying the tickets: should I try to get them before leaving? Should I try to buy them after landing in Japan and if so, how should I go about that? I have this image that reseller shops are a big thing in Japan, so should I try to find my way into one or is there a better way to get the tickets while there? If anyone has experience or advice about getting the tickets, please share! I would be really grateful for any help. :) |

On a sidenote: I was finally able to get a copy of Delight to myself (yay :heart). I got the CD+DVD edition, so naturally I had to check the DVD contents and I just have to say that the Smile video? It's the CUTEST THING. ;w; |

just found an old uploaded video of Faraway full version, lol.
|
^Thanks a lot, the last week i was triying to find at least a preview.
Another pop single. It sounds good. |
I'm still keeping my ears shut in terms of listening to her new single... :shrug
|
Delight <ballad version> is just AMAZING. Close to tears rn. That is all.
|
The single.
I really like Kiss You :heart but I'm biased because I love Gin no Saji lol. edit: wow Delight~Ballad Version~ is gorgeous <333 |
The single is so good. The ballad version of Delight is too wonderful for words. Just wow.
|
Her voice sounds beautiful in the ballad version of Delight. Faraway and Kiss you are good tracks.

I'm curious, i watch the opening and i think it could be funny. |
^ It's quite funny. Also informative actually (I've learned all kinds of new things about farming :laugh ) And the manga is written by the writer of Fullmetal Alchemist.

miwa ranks #5 on the first day. #1 was NMB48, #2 Tohoshinki (these two no surprise), but I'm quite surprised about #3 - who's Cheeky Parade? (AAA is #4) |
Top 5 for miwa, nice !!! The competition is really hard to beat. And idk who is Cheeky Parade

It's winter and most of new songs sounds like summer-ish pop tune. Current trend nowadays.
I'M GOING TO LIKE THE SONG THOUGH. Bonus: http://prcm.jp/album/miwaaaa/pic/28392853 |
^Thanks !!
I don't like this little preview, it sounds so cute. I wonder if she is planning release this song as a physical single. Honestly, i hope she releases another rockish single. Anyway, maybe when we get the full song i'm going to say it's amazing, XD. |

Something like chAngE, Loud, Sparrow would be awesome. |
miwa provides a song for Momoiro Clover Z's upcoming single

new song for... Nestle's KitKat, "KITTO KANAU"
|
Now I have a reason buying Kit-Kat and YOU-C products.
I prefer that song for Kit-Kat tho. |
Another new song, thanks for the info !!
It sounds promising, i feel this is going to be for a spring release ! |
Another double-A-side single coming up?
|
^Maybe, but for me It's you! sounds like a b-side.
|
It's confirmed, miwa first appearance in Kouhaku.
She's listed and can be seen in NHK Website. I'm really surprised she made it, considering she's a new artist, only 3 years from her debut and she managed to perform in Kouhaku, just... wow. |
Congratulations! This is really exciting!!! (But at the expense of ayaka's...)
|
Congratulations miwa !!!!
She had a really great year, she deserves it. |
miwa will sing Hikari He at Kouhaku. (source)
|
yes...i love Hikari e
|
It's a very good choice because this is her 1st Kouhaku and Hikari e is her most famous song
|
a new song for CM U-CAN Tsushin Kouza titled "Faith" is going to air on January, 1st.
The theme is "自分を変えたい、すべての人へ" (to all people who wants to change yourself) "Faith" is a rock song from miwa, and she'll use Electric Guitar on it. Source : http://natalie.mu/music/news/106139 | http://www.u-can.co.jp/company/news/1194385_3482.html mellody will be happy |

Is it just me, or am I seeing something weird...? First I see "Pray" by ayu, now "Faith" by miwa? Hmm...
|
Thanks! But where can I get the full resolution? I don't think Photobucket is showing full resolution for us...
|
Another new song, wow, 3 new songs from miwa :) 2014 is going to be good
And i'm happy for a new rock song, finally !!! |
Faith preview! (Only 15 seconds though)
Starts at 1:56. You have to be a dreamer~ EDIT: Why it won't load? The link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vm941...&feature=share |
The video doesn't existe anymore :(
Well, i hope to find another one |
miwa - It's you ! (Live)
http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNjU2MDY2NDgw.html miwa - キットカット Is Kitto Kanau just a song for Kit Kat ? |
I think the song is cute BUT i'd rather have her say "kitto katsu", NOT "kitto katto" for obvious reasons (kitto katsu means "surely win", which is LEAGUES better than "surely get cut" or something)
|
I found the CM with Faith
It sounds good too. The three new songs are nice, my least favourite is obviously It's you! |
The news is here!

February 12. 2 versions as usual. DVD content is digest from her recent concert miwa 39 live I guess. PV? Who knows. Just wait for miwa clips vol. 2. |
no remix or "another version"
..... I'm a bit disappointed since its her usual style when releasing singles >__< |
At least she is including the instrumentals for all the songs.
Thanks for the info. |
Look at these cool covers!
LE http://www.sonymusic.co.jp/img/commo...ges/syokai.jpg RE http://www.sonymusic.co.jp/img/commo...ages/tsujo.jpg I LOVE the regular edition cover. Her pose is super cool and the lighting and everything makes the whole package great. I haven't heard a single snippet of the songs yet, can't wait for this single. :heart |
pretty cool covers as usual lately ♥
|
Her covers are always nice !
|
Remember when miwa has bad covers for her singles? Me neither.
Her skins are glowing! |
True, girl doesn't seem to have a bad cover in her. :P I kinda hope some of the songs are as edgy as the covers, I'm hungry for another LOUD!
|
You have to be a dreamer~
EDIT: Kinda different from what I expect. Just a so-so song despite having that title. I miss something like chAngE, Sparrow, LOUD, or hys-. |
I love it !! Thanks for the song !
It isn't rock-ish at all, but is catchy <3 |
Quote:
I do have a feeling the PV will be somewhat bizarre, like she can walk on water, I mean air.. |
I'm expecting a PV with many effects, something like 441 and Hikari e
|
There's a mini preview for the PV!
Spoiler:
|
2014/02/07
Mae Shika Mukanē / AKB48 Count ZERO & WHITE BREATH/T.M.Revolution AinoArika/Hey! Say! JUMP Ijime, Dame, zettai /BABYMETAL Faith/miwa Hikare/Yuzu Thanks to Karen. miwa is promoting a lot in Music Station, that's nice. The PV for Faith is out now !! |
The whole single is out! What's everyone thinking about it?
I like this single more than the previous one. The ballad version of Delight is still better than almost everything ever, but the actual title songs fell short for me. This time around, all the songs are nice and catchy, even though the b-sides aren't really instantly memorable to me. Faith was definitely the right choice for the title track: it's the catchiest one of the bunch, the explosively energetic chorus is awesome, and the horns totally steal the show in a good way! I'm not sure if I'd give it the five-star treatment (what verses I don't remember any), but it's definitely a good song. Overall: miwa, please keep the horns! |
I love the three songs, even It's you! is growing in me, do you know if there will be a PV for this song ?
Anyway Faith is so catchy, and you can hear her electric guitar <3. Kitto Kanau is nice, it sounds a lot like Haru ni Nattara. |
Okay, I have to say that this whole single is actually better than my expectation.
Faith is growing on me a lot than I imagine. Both It's you! and Kitto Kanau sounds better in actual CD so... yeah. Much better than previous single, I have to agree on that. FAITH IS MAH JAM. I just simply don't like the facts that both It's you! and Kitto Kanau are made for specific products so that she has to make the lyrics interesting and related. (A lot of 'shi' because it's for YouC, though most of actual words aren't using -shi. Same goes for Kitto Katto.) One thing I realized, this single she uses a horn. Previous song, Faraway, she's using another extra instrument. Please use more of them girl. EDIT: I forgot something, what does 'I have to go lover' meaning in this song? |
#4 "Faith" - miwa : 2/12 (33,215)
Very good sales, this single deserves them |
