summer playlist in winter?
believe it or not, id rather listen to summer songs in winter, especially fairyland

^ It's summer where I am. Haha, I'm also like that! Ayu always releases summer songs in my winter, and they always brighten my mood.

It's a nice day outside today, around 27 degrees! I'm too lazy to make a summer playlist at the moment. My other one was conveniently deleted when I checked the 'click here if you do not want to see this message again' when I was deleting some older playlists, and accidentally hit that one...

I usually don't create playlists, I just configure my iTunes to play the songs randomly and I skip the ones I don't feel like listening to xD If it's Ayu, rarely skip songs...

I don't have playlists related to seasons, specially because I guess I'm used to listen to songs from a season in the opposite season, winter songs always come out when it's summer and really hot here and and summer songs always come out in the winter...
(This will be a really really hot christmas eve >.<)

^ rather that that freezing winter. Here in Norway its been as cold as -30c! You can barely go out the door without losing the feeling in your thighs!

I've been to Orlando before during the winter there. Maybe I'm not the best one to compare because I live in the state in the most south of Brazil, so here is colder than the rest of the country, but, comparing to where I live, Orlando was a lot hotter... But I guess Orlando's climate must be pretty similar to other states of Brasil, like Rio.

Tell me about it! I HATE mosquitoes >.< At least here in RS the mosquitoes tend to only appear in the summer...

Hmmmmm. I don't mind Rule, but it's kind of been left on the shelf in my iTunes. I always preferred Sparkle, and in terms of Ayu rock, I prefer the earlier stuff (Because of you/GAME/etc).

^ Me too. I think overall the song is just awesome, it doesn't drag and is really fun.
It's kind of up there with RAINBOW/forgiveness for me, to be honest.

As far as Rule goes, I like it because it isn't too heavy. While I do like rock, Ayu's heavier stuff just

I've never been that fan of sparkle.... Really fun to listen to the first times, but a month after its release I didn't feel like listening to it anymore, I've always prefered Rule <3
And the same thing is happening to me with Wake me up, it's really good, but I usually don't feel like listening to it much...

still one of the best of 2012 from ayu, but snowy kiss + ivy have just grown on me. must be TK magic.

I love all the songs really.

It's just so different. It really does stand out in her discography, even if the lyrics are very reminiscent of issues in older eras, the composition is completely new Ayu. I like that meeting of old and new.

they said the mini album will be a new creative mini album from ayu
they meant new creative mini album from TK, DAI, some UK composers + ayu's voice/lyrics

I love snowy kiss, overall the sngs from the minis are a return to form (IMO).
Party Queen sounds like the typical Ayu filler but this feels like more thought went into it.

Wake Me Up is the song of 2012 to me.

I think CREA is as dead as a door nail. I mean, I like a majority of the CREA songs, and I'd love it if another one is released one day, but it's just so unlikely.

I wonder if it is because Ayu is self doubtful about her ability to compose, or she simply doesn't feel the need to compose because there are composers that can easily share her vision? There could be a million reasons.

I prefer artists that compose and write their own music though. Such a rarity in pop music. :/

And the hearing; that didn't even cross my mind. I think it'd be a combination of factors.

The composers for "Wake me up" are Hiten Bharadia, Philippe-Marc Anquetil, and Bardue Haberg (according to my "again" booklet). None of those names sound particularly UK-ish to me, but whatever. :P

I think its a mixture of both things.

Ayu has composed things, she's mentioned it in TA at least 2 times since 2010.

Ayu used to say that when she composes it's because she knows better than anyone how she wants the songs to be, maybe she's not composing now because other composers are make the compositions she wanted for her songs. Or maybe because she doesn't feel that confident with her compositions (I remember some years ago for a single, don't really remember which, that she said they had some compositions to analyse and select one for a song, and one of them was hers, but she chose another one in the end). Or because of her hearing that could make it more difficult for her to compose. Probably a mix of these and some more reasons...

^ It was for You were.../Ballad. I do know there's been another time where she has mentioned skipping over her own compositions but never said why.

My favourite CREA song is Naturally. Actually, I like the Ayu/CMJK collab, still alone is also a favourite (not one you can listen to all the time though).

Ayu should the band Sakanaction for an album..that would be a dream come true for me tbh. The lead singer of Sakanction is half deaf too and has the same vocal "quality" as Ayu.

He's Korean though he hasn't pursued a career in Korea because of the drama with his brother and SM, just in Japan.
