Judging from the reviews, the concert sounds a lot of fun!

The set list is exactly what the Japanese fans wanted, I think it's decent for a 15th anniversary concert. Although I'm upset that no more words wasn't on the list, but I hope she'll perform it at least once, that song deserves to be performed !!

A predictable setlist after all. But I suppose that it's understandable, it's full of her classics like it or not

So I went to the show yesterday too ;-)
I think everything has pretty much been said?

I enjoyed it a lot, however, I won't lie. I was kind of underwhelmed? It was great hearing older songs, and heaven, jewel and no way to say we're amazing, but I felt like it was just lacking something... Not to say it wasn't a good show.

I didn't like the arrangement if Voyage, though. It sounded really messy to me.

I loved all the costumes, and her vocals were on point. Sakura was beautiful!

I wanted her to sing No more words though. Seems I'm not the only one, I overheard more than 4 random people in line talking about it, and then 2 others after the concert ended talking about how they wanted to see it!

I hope she adds it in... :-(

Also I recommend anyone who wants the limited t-shirt to get in line for the goods early! Like, really early lol. My friend got there at 11:30? So we were definitely at the upper part of the line, but when we got to the booth they were down to just small size, and when we finally got to the front they'd sold out. Luckily I didn't want it though haha. I ended up getting the big towel, black shirt, and uchiwa. I still have time to think and save money by the time the tour ends. :-p

Though it's disappointing it's kinda expected, songs like Kanariya or Ever Free are probably songs better suited to CDL. Though I think there's a reason she doesn't sing both songs..Kanariya because she just can't and Ever Free because of the meaning, the same reason the lyrics were't included in the Vogue single.

i really really would love to see her performing No More Words, i think it's such a beautiful anf underated ballad i enjoy it better than JEWEL actually....

I like the setlist. I just think that SAKURA before wake me up without interlude is a bit weird. I'm glad for Tell All.

I actually like this setlist! I wish I could go to a concert and see the classics live. I bet live performances bring a whole new life to her songs.

The setlist is good for the kind of show it is (Best) I just wished she would sing ever free and that it wouldn't be only an instrumental. :(

Just to be clear. She doesnt sing(live) in ever free but its not completely instrumental. You hear her voice sing. Its the regular studio version. I wish she sang it live though.

I can kinda see what you mean by "underwhelming." Maybe because I just finished watching my BD of the CDL 2012-13. There are good songs, like Song 4 u, Who..., and Together When... But all together the show is kinda "underwhelming." I don't know why but I kinda feel "this is it?!?!" unlike her previous CDL (especially PCDL, Future Classics, do it again), I always wanna re-watch again and again.

Btw I didn't want the 5800 yen t-shirt either. I am more of a solo Ayu person.

JEWEL is so underrated...finally first time that song is on the main setlist of any concert since autumn 2006 release!!! But now I'm waiting for costume pictures...

tbh, i am only excited about JEWEL - HEAVEN - SAKURA.

and since A Song for XX and Memorial address are both "ayu and band" performances, we shouldnt expect that the opening is very grand with all dancers?

I also thought the theme of the tour was kind of lost.

It opens with a masquerade type dance with the words "welcome to our cruel beautiful world" and then there's a bunch of militant type costuming on her (usually dressed as clown) dancers, and a ballerina at one point, with her other acrobat dancers in my name's WOMEN-esque harnesses.

But Ayu herself doesn't carry out any type of theme. So, I didn't get it...

I thought it was amazing how the soldiers were walking sideways on the curtain! And it dealt with life and death and heaven, but it got kind of lost...

I think if your going to do a theme, it would be a better idea to execute it throughout the entire thing?

In which case No more words would have been a perfect choice lol. After Sakura. Ahhh :-(

@Tokyoxjapanxfan Yep, I agree. That was the weak point of the concert - there was no cohesive theme and the begining was kind of wtf.

The setlist however was great! I was hoping for an A-Museum length setlist though, but still it was good. I'm sure it will be changing with each date of the tour. Like Trauma and Independent/flower garden etc are interchangeable. Same with You for basically any song. Who I could see getting switched back and forth with No More Words. And My All with Replace. The M/No Way to Say section can easily become Dearest/Walking Proud etc etc.

I was so excited when Ever Free came on, but then it just turned out to be BGM used for a tissue dance. :(

Also, Poker Face and Fly High were done in medley - not the full songs.

Her voice sounded EXCELLENT! One of the best times I've heard her live I think. The costumes didn't stand out to me too much - they were good but not amazing. No costumes made me go wtf though, so that was a major positive.

The highlight of the show is Jewel/Heaven/Sakura. The floating pool was finally a nice new original stage idea for her! It was very beautiful! Sakura was performed the same way as Together When at the last CDL, only in a different color dress and a Sakura tree on the screen in the background. Also, she cried during Sakura.

Oh, and before You and Me, there was a DJ section. Elin and I were both shocked when it wasn't Ayu songs though! They were playing stuff like Psy and Nikki Minaj to get the place pumped up!

Those are my scatter brained thoughts at the moment!

Wondering... is anyone going to the 6/8 show in Shizuoka by chance? Or even the 6/9?

I really want to go, (though I don't even know if I can get tickets still?), but I'm only in Japan from 5/28 until 6/10 and spending whole time in Tokyo, so this is the closest one... but I'm really to nervous and scared to go all the way from Tokyo by myself and stay in a hotel alone (my friend does not want to come with me...)

I know some Japanese but it is still kinda weak... which makes this all a LOT more nerving...

Really even just someone who can help me find a hotel near the arena and what not would even be appreciated... Been wanting to see her live for almost 9 years and I'm so close I don't want to miss this chance >.< can anyone help an Ayumi fan out?

the only thing that i liked about this first setlist is A Song for xx/Memorial address and JEWEL/HEAVEN, but i know a lot of stuff will change and we might get something pretty unexpected on the dvd/br next year =)

I think set list is nice. Jewel and Heaven were really great, the way she sang in a floating pool was romantic and fantasy. When they zoomed up her on the big screen, in one moment I thought she's a mermaid :)
I was surprised when they turned Gangnam style in DJ section, I actually prefer Ayu's song more than others artist popular songs.

Encore with Who and My All made me cry like a baby, oh my ~

I will go to see more 2 times in Yokohama and Yoyogi, I hope the setlist will be changed again, can't wait to see that ^^

By the way, the concept is really quite lost, hmn but maybe I didn't feel it clearly, I will try next time.

Today in the beginning of the show during ASFxx a capella she didn't sing "hitori kiri ikite yuku..". Yesterday she quite struggled while singing it so I'm glad she erased this part.

Also, JEWEL & HEAVEN performance in the pool was better today. Very beautiful!!! And I liked SAKURA song more just because of the performance. Btw I took a sneak peak haha! It was just too beautiful and I thought it'd be nice to share it with you ^^



Also, during HONEY she wore glasses (the same were in Tell all book) and blue jacket. Guys behind me were just like "yabai! yabai! yabai! yabai!" Ahaha. yeah, she looked cute. She had no jacket during Fly high, just like white shirt, pink necktie, blue-pink cross robe. Btw, fly high is too short. Only one chorus. All the arena was dancing during the chorus and then the song stops.. Oh well :)

What else... During MC we were learning Trauma again.

Today the concert was better. I was over-excited during Boys & girls. I couldn't stop shouting "ayu! ayu!", the whole arena was excited, so they started Who... 10 seconds later I think. I hope she'll add more songs to the encore.

I really wished, she sings Ivy.
But.. Jewel, Heaven and Sakura... thats great. Ah.. what a pity, I can not see her live.<

Maybe, just maybe, she'll exchange the first encore song so it's different for each concert and so all from the 50 voted songs are actually performed through the whole tour :) and then just maybe she will include them in dvd, that would be super awesome anniversary release, 20 song concert, but 50 song 3-4dvd edition :P

When I went to ayu's concert first time on Dec 29, 2012, I tweeted like crazy all the songs as they were performed and even posted pics from the venue. And then lots of Japanese fans requested me to remove all the spoilers. And I removed them. because that I posted was a huge spoiler for everyone who was excited about the 30th or 31st Dec show. That's why I posted this pic only here and other ayu forum.

I made this pic only for foreign fans who can't attend the show, I even put it in spoilers here in AHS, so please, remove it please.

I understand if they're pissed off because of pics because photoshoot is not allowed inside the building if I'm not mistaken. But pissed off because people shares setlist? Geez that's downright paranoid. Why can't we share setlist info? Will it hurt ayu? What about people like us who cannot attend? Ayu has many fans overseas duh :/ I just can't understand it

Besides aren't foreign fansites and foreign fans that shares the setlist? If the Japanese fans want to be surprised they shouldn't look for the setlist then

Well, it's their culture and it's something we should respect. Since we're the 'foreign' to their culture. And they're paying for the concert thus it's something which they've privilege of. Though some of them might not be against it but it kinda spoils the mood when you know what is going to be performed before you went to the concert (Imagine someone told you the story of a movie before you went to see the concert, would you be happy about it?).

^^I realize their strict culture but still not every Japanese shares that idea so I just thought a somewhat more neutral attitude towards it would be better. Besides as soeone pointed out earlier in this kind of era sharing things like that becomes more and more inevitable.
If they're pissed because they saw the setlist, imo they have the choice to not know the setlist or pics or anything about it because it's not given to them directly. If they stumbled upon it, oh well it's not under their control.

the one thing i always notice first is her vibrato, it sounds nice here. and she sounds good in general. I am liking what i hear. *keeps listening* Memorial Address....T_T i love it. *keeps listening* Poker face.. OMG THAT VOICE whaat? xD xD she still has that squeeky voice hidding there somewhere lol but i like that there's some vibrato going. Still kinda funny xD
In all knowing that this is unedited piece of recording she sounds really really good. But maybe it's just a very start of teh concert.
