AyuWorld 10th August 2013 06:30 PM

I love the first pic in red costume she looked fierce, and the one with the hair ban, guess it was Sakura, she looked lovely plus the dark hair! and she even looked better there than the one in Asia Tour 2008

Same here.
It's an okay tracklist, but Ayu staff seems to keep forgetting this is a 15th anniversary thing, so it should be special. Why not including all the encore songs, plus some others (SAKURA)?

Livey~ 23rd August 2013 08:22 PM

So the Live CD has 14 songs..
Is it really longer than 70 minutes to not include at least SAKURA (or MY ALL..)? :irked
I would have preferred a 2CD edition..
At least I hope it flows well just like the Live CD of PCDL..

toLOVE 23rd August 2013 08:45 PM

Avex do know that it's Ayu's 15th anniversary, right? I wonder what else will they recycle next.

I hope the second DVD will have all the encore song from previous live, but knowing avex it's impossible.

Too bad there's no SAKURA, but that was to be expected. And the cd doesn't have all the songs, but I think the selection was great. The best songs were picked!

ayumisrael 24th August 2013 02:01 AM

Well the DVD/bluray will have a bonus content (wonder what but not getting hopes up for other performances). The CD has Key ~eternal tie ver.~ which isn't on the DVD/blu-ray.

Avex don't know how to celebarate Ayu's 15th Anni?Seriously? We got a lot of new songs, a concert made with the fans with a tracklist using a lot of Best Ayu songs, CD live, a lot fo new magazine,...
I would like that people know how Hitomi Shimatani's one is celebrated : as if she was dead! With only one best album (+one new song) & nothing more. Ayu's fan just act as spoiled child according to me. They don't see the luck they have compared with Hitomi's fans.

Seriously. We had new songs, sure, like she wouldn't have done an album this year without the anniversary thing. She does an album every year, sometimes two. Plus, we had two useless "mini albums" released with a commercial strategy that was shady to say the least. We had a DVD that was bound to be released anyway. A voting thing which was half used. An acoustic album with mostly very bland arrangement (but some good ones, I admit). A lot of horrible PVs, while the real "anniversary song", Tell All, was gone without one.
And now, an incomprehensible short tracklist, while she did more encore songs. I would understand a normal tracklist, but for an anniversary release, which is supposed to be special I think, I'd expect something more. Unless you consider the Live CD a plus (I find in internet tour cd lives made by fans every year, people could do it by themselves if they wanted).
Ok, if some of you guys are satisfied, I'm happy for you. But for me it was a lot of mess (and most of all, a lot of money) for nothing and I would have appreciated a lot more a normal, simple release, but well done, like Mirrorcle World was.

What I said is objective! She gave us a lot of things. No matter if you like them or not. She didn't do what 99% of singers do during an anniversary years, just releasing a best album. So saying that she did nothing for a 15th Anni is objectively wrong! Moreover, you say that you would prefer a simple release but at the same time you say that you want something special! Decide you!

marty 24th August 2013 05:43 PM

^
My point is, she has done nothing she normally wouldn't do and called it a "special release". Every year she always does an album. She often does remixes (in fact, Ayumix 7 was somewhat more polished as a release than A Classical). She always releases Tour and Countdown DVDs.
She did a lot of things this year, you're right, but let's face it, she always does a lot, she's very prolific (and avex loves to milk her dry). Nothing really special, sorry. Then, the fact that I find a lot of it of a questionable quality doesn't help the situation either. But I'm not gonna be called spoiled because of that, sorry, I'm not. I don't have exaggerated expectations.
EDIT: And, for what I intend with special: I mean something done specifically for the anniversary, that's it. Mirrorcle World was, a lot of the releases for this anniversary were not, they were things she would have done anyway, but labelled as "anniversary", without really aiming at celebrating, imo.

Actually, avex have done more. But it's more to loyal/hardore fan that buys her stuffs/joins TA.
Look at the stuffs going on during her tour. The slots giving out gifts for free, RAINBOW house performance, the lottery gifts for the 5 consecutive release. If you're still grumbling about not doing a lot for the anniversary, let me remind you that it's still not the end of the year yetz. And a digest video of the RAINBOW house is coming out soon to TA members. Giving the idea of a digest video, I think there might b more to the event?

I really hope there's more in store for us!XD I guess it's just a matter of opinions: I really, really don't see anything of it such a special and exceptional thing! Singers always do this kind of stuff. I understand why they always go with a Best: that's the epitome of celebrating a career!

Yoake 24th August 2013 06:06 PM

^ They only called concert tour 15 th Anniversary because that is the year of her 15th anni! Singer never do anything special in that kind of year (they just release songs or best album because they're singer). So I don't know what you expect! That she sing evolution & dance in the street naked? That she create a gold statue & put it in the center of Tokyo? Even for her 10th Anniversary she did nothing special, only concerts & new songs. You're only disappointed because the reality is different from your wishes!

marty 24th August 2013 06:14 PM

^
No, baby! LOL I'm just not so blinded by my stan instinct for Ayu to give up my critical side.:D I already gave you an example: Mirrorcle World was perfectly fine: it was something done with the purpose of celebrating the point she was in her career.
Now, let's calm down, can't we? I. am. not. bashing. Ayu. I love her very, very much. But to say that for me she did a mess with this anniversary is not having exaggerated expectations, on the contrary, since I'm of the opinion she would have done better with something simpler, without all the string of forced releases. But you think otherwise, I got the message.

toLOVE 24th August 2013 06:46 PM

I call the 15th anniversary a mess because the release is nothing really "new" to expect. With the 15th anni project, I thought it was a cool idea and that first two mini albums I thought was an alright release (even though everyone knows it's a single), then the classic album, nothing too special or surprise because she released one before and she released an acoustic/orchestra album 2 or 3 years ago. The the album... now that's when I think it's a huge mess, the album title is a combination of the two "mini albums" and the album tracks are pretty weak compared to the "mini albums". The final release is the tour DVD... not surprised... she release a tour DVD every year. And for the live CD... that I can do it myself or another person may rip there DVD as well.

For her 10th anniversary, now, I think everything's done perfect. She released an new album (GUILTY), release a single, in the singles there's rerecording of her old songs. She released a 10th anniversary best of album which is good idea and the content of the DVD is pretty good.

Andrenekoi 24th August 2013 07:29 PM

People still wants that cute bottles with 5 drops of Ayu's holly blood or something. :P

SKYia 24th August 2013 08:08 PM

Let me just remind you what Zin said recently, the anniversary lasts till April 2014 and is not over yet + Ayu goes to studio any minute.

KLJames 24th August 2013 08:11 PM

is the 2nd time they removed my fav HONEY from live CD, sigh, need rip myself again...

koumori 24th August 2013 09:40 PM

I'm also disappointed with her fifteen anniversary, but it's not because of the lack of things she did. It was just that those things didn't seem like they were celebrating her anniversary at all. I felt the whole mess with the mini albums, the "fan-inspired concert setlist" (which turned out to just ignore songs she didn't want to include anyway, like kanariya) and the unfortunate relationship drama just took a lot away from any of the potential success it could have been.

It's just my opinion, but I just feel really disappointed as to how this milestone in her career played out. I do appreciate that she had a concert and released a full album, a remix album and a digital single...I just wish I'd liked them all a little more. :) I just get the feeling Ayu wasn't as focused on her career this year...

I'm looking forward to seeing if Ayu is planning anything else anyway. I always still look forward to her future plans.

njanjayrp 24th August 2013 11:23 PM

I think that everything was really toned down compared to the 10th Anniversary and it really seemed she was focused on the tour. I loved LOVE again and the tour, though the mini albums were completely unneeded and I can live without them. I think it might be a good thing for her not to annoy the general public too much. As long as she releases music I'll be happy. Yes I would like Ayu to go back to releasing singles and promoting music like she used to, because we get to see and hear more of her, but I guess we're a little bit spoiled.

pimenta 24th August 2013 11:28 PM

That pic with Go-mi made me smile, it's so good to see him celebrating with Ayu! :heart

Even if the pic isn't new, I really like the cover for the CD, it's great! And, well, tbh I actually wan't expecting her to put all the other encore performances in the DVD anyway... I would like to see them there, but I kind of knew they weren't gointo to be.

You just like anni & say its perfect if you like songs , but you don't consider thing as anni if you don't like. It's subjective not objective! It's what I said since the start. kinix explained you too (& in a better way than me). The project & Tell All was also things done with the purpose of celebrating her 15th Anni as MW. But just because you don't like it, it's not Anni! However, if you put your feeling aside, she celebrates her 15 th Anni.
+: I didn't consider that you bashed Ayu & I'm not a stan (I don't say "you have to like everything Ayu did for this year." It's not what I want. You can dislike them) . However, when I see words meaning "Ayu did nothing for her anni" & how Hitomi Shimatani's one is celebrated. I feel that way.

Also, my thought is Ayu's trying to celebrate her 15 th Anni as the combo: AYU+FANS while her 10th was for everyone. Most of the gift was only for TA, she made a poll for A CLASSICAL, another one for concert,... I think she did that because she didn't create Ayumi Hamasaki alone. If Ayumi Hamasaki exists, is also thanks to her fans. It's why she wants to celebrate it to this way.

BlackSilence 25th August 2013 10:20 AM

^ i kinda agree with you here, i mean sure as a concert RnRC was way more fancy than the BEST OF one, but then again, she was promoting an album, and A BEST LIVE was directly linked to fans. she had new stuff comming out even tho some fishi marketing was included, she made colaborations with various products, and has been giving more mag apparences than before, so it is a celebration mainly focusing on fans. i could even say japanese fans. Cuz most of the songs she sang were basicly her old classics. Now it might be a missed opportunity for gradioze stuff, and the DVD of the tour was meant to be released anyways, they could have incuded all the tracks but decided not to. People here seem to have expectations that obviously are way too off from Avex's marketing plan, and people get mad because they don't get what they imagined they would. But really this whole thing had so little promotion and extravagantic stuff because she clearly seemed to be focusing on her loyal fanbase who would know what's going on even with no promotion at all, rather than general public.

Now I get your point of view, and I agree: this anniversary was focused on her hardcore fanbase.
I never said she didn't do anything, but I still believe she didn't do anything for the anniversary. She did more and different things for TA and closer fans, sure, but that's the point to be in her fanclub to me, you get to have special things other fans can't, everytime not just in a special occasion. But for celebrating her career, I don't see anything. I see special bonuses for TA and people whom can afford to spend a lot of money, but not a project intended to pay omage to 15 years in the musical world. Sorry, but it's my point of view, and I think it's kind of objective too.
I really hope she will surprise us with something more focused on an anniversary (and with a lot of performances in the rest of DVD), but that would not cancel the mess she did before anyway. I'm not gonna be fooled and praise avex for an album, because even if they say it's for an anniversary, it's clearly not, like GUILTY wasn't for her 10th.

Isicio 25th August 2013 02:42 PM

I think she doesn't do something like 10th anniversary releasing something like A COMPLETE. But she do something different with this 5 consecutive releases. And thinkin in the fact that Party Queen was a release like FEEL, an album without 4 previous singles, I think is good for ayumi. But I hope she release new material with powerful dance and rock songs, and maybe with the old style on the first albums.

And don't forget that she will release so fast the arena tour 15th anniversary and one live cd too. So I think that this is a great anniversary.

And of course I understand that people want all the encore on the DVD because is something ''special'' in a way.

microphone 27th August 2013 03:18 AM

I'm very satisfied with Song 4 u and its PV so I can forgive the lackluster anniversary release. For you yeah yeah yeah!

Maybe she'll come out with new songs early next year. I believe she is still recording, no? Even if she decides to stop her music career she's got so much material for us to go back to.

alternarist 27th August 2013 03:55 AM

I do find her anniversary tour similar to AT2008. Nothing really WOWing (based on pics only). But I have yet to seen the concert yet, so i am refraining from further making conclusions.. :P

I am pretty sure later this year, there will be more releases.. who knows April 2014, we will have one more brand new album to wrap things up! :D:D Let's be optimistic guys! It's ayu's a-nation period!

Thank you very much!
Even if the audio is LQ, it almost sounds like an edited version from a dvd!
Some parts are off and so on but god, those years when she couldn't sing properly seem very far!

I would like to have my copy now but as I pre-ordered it with the DVD I have to wait. Well, I'm sure time'll pass quickly.

hayasaki 7th September 2013 01:45 PM

i'm getting the DVD as a present for myself on my birthday!!! Now I really can't wait. I don't care what others say but she rocked her 15th anniversary!

inspire_rmx 7th September 2013 02:08 PM

Same here! :laugh She almost sound like she did between 2004 and 2005! :D

Yoshiaki 7th September 2013 04:56 PM

Wow!!
The previews are really awesome!!
It is an album full of emotions!!

AyuGAME 7th September 2013 05:06 PM

OMG!!! KEY!!!
I love this album

miki_beland 7th September 2013 05:13 PM

too much autotune here... it would have sounded better with the raw recording. I remember in "Who..." from CDL 12-13 you could also notice a lot of autotune, there's even a little bug and the voice is crashed one second

pimenta 7th September 2013 05:17 PM

Previews are awesome!! :blove
Can't wait for the blu-ray release, I really want to watch this tour!

She sounds so contained in some songs (specially Who...), you can tell for sure that she's trying her best to sing them with those old high pitched vocals and keep the tone right... Sometimes I think it would be better for her to just forget her older vocals and sing everything with her normal vocal, it would sound much more natural. But I'm glad that this time she really seemed to be able to keep the high pitched vocals without going out of tune.
But I'm completely impressed with No way to say and Key, she sounds so natural with those older vocals!

Pieces_of_SEVEN 7th September 2013 08:38 PM

Took me back to when I was at the concerts. This is gonna be an especially awesome release for me. The CD and the blu ray. They should have offered a live CD + blu ray + gift set or something.

maxikot 7th September 2013 11:22 PM

Key is hypnotizing me...i need to hear full version...

brener 8th September 2013 02:40 AM

hmmm i didnt like M, too much screaming there

Cahz- 8th September 2013 06:49 AM

Certainly impressed with No way to say, I was waiting for that annoying kawaii voice but she did great!!
couldn't say the same about poker face :puke
Tell Alll sounds awesome and stronger :heart
Looking forward to this release. A Song for XX live is still my jam!

key was a special emotion performance for me. as well as teddy bear, since she had the huge bear next to her.

Just wish they included You & Me on the live CD. it was one of the most energetic songs in the whole concert. at least I'll have it on the blu ray.

"JUMP, JUMP, JUMP, JUMP, JUMP!!!!" omg so freaking amazing.

Zeke. 9th September 2013 05:08 AM

I get this "polished" feeling on the vocals too, as they were processed quite a bit. But, JEWEL is stunning. I had lost all hope that by the time she chose to perform that song on tour, she'd never be able to do it justice.

Deep snow 9th September 2013 07:12 AM

The previews are awesome! Of course they're polished as f---, but the point is that they sound great! poker face sounds surreal because her voice was so high-pitched there I almost couldn't believe it, but in the end I like how the edited version turns out. M is amazing too. It's in the original key and I'm really happy that she pulled it off really well (even from the actual fan recording of the concert we got the other day). I'm really looking forward to the BluRay! I hope there are bonuses and they are amazing :)

marty 9th September 2013 04:00 PM

Nice previews!
I'm amazed at how much I've grown to love her pitchy voice, I loved her in poker face!:D But Teddy Bear was the best, so emotional and good! And I'm gonna love that version of A Song for xx, too!

Agree...You & Me live is just amazing, so much energy in this song.

Still can't forgive the fact that she cut off SAKURA... Best song on the LOVE again album and well, one of the best performances in the show. Is this gonna be the new trend of Ayu? She cuts off the biggest performance of the tour? Like RR.

I remember her saying on the first day something like "The wires didn't work out properly so I got a bit confuced, haha, please do come and see it again so you can see it work out smoothly." All that fuss for not being in the DVD? Not okay... Grr... Moarw......

brener 11th September 2013 03:58 PM

^
agreed =[

she also stated once that SAKURA was her fans favorite song among the other tracks of LOVE again :((

Listening to those previews, I'm tempted to break out my light-up uchiwa and start waving it around! I can't wait to buy this and the DVD to commemorate my first ever time seeing Ayu live!

Pieces_of_SEVEN 11th September 2013 05:30 PM

imo, the previews sound EXACTLY like she did live.

ayumisrael 11th September 2013 06:05 PM

With no editing? awesome!

hidekirby 11th September 2013 06:10 PM

But those previews are obviously edited.
From the different fan previews you can tell she improved a lot but is still being off pitch and so on (which is kinda natural for a singer like her).
Plus you can tell it is auto tuned.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 11th September 2013 06:51 PM

So she was singing live autotuned? I don't think so. I really believe those tracks from the previews is what she sang on the final day.

mizuki-7 11th September 2013 08:16 PM

Hello guys did you discovered only now that DVD are edited before the sale ? :innocent

The previews I 've heard of Jewel/Heaven are the same as this edited preview so I very don't pay attention ...

That or your judgement is not accurate IMO.
It is different to go to a concert, seeing the whole thing in movement (and there is always so much going on while she is singing) and just focusing on the vocals with nothing else to distract you. Or yes, she sang with auto tune but I've never heard her doing that...

No. It has always been this way. And it is the case with the majority of artists. Everything is edited. But yes, with ayu they tend to polish it to the "perfection". Even when she is crying she is hitting every notes perfectly on DVD while with the (no longer) unedited TV versions she is not.

And when I compare all the fan recordings which sound pretty normal (you can even tell she's improved a lot since 2008) it is obvious this cd is edited to hell. And it is quite normal. She just can't sing this well on so many songs. She never had.

I can confirm this as well. As I said, to me Ayu has never sounded as good as during the Hiroshima show with ASFXX, Memorial address, JEWEL, HEAVEN and Tell All being vocally the strongest performances.

And to asses some of the comments - yes when it comes to the upbeat songs you can't concentrate well, but when it comes to ballads you mostly just enjoy Ayu's voice as there wasn't that much going on to begin with. She sounded PERFECT and the recordings fully reflect that. Now I am not saying nothing has been edited, I am just saying that her vocals were awesome during this tour. I loved her singing last year and I think she was even better this time.

freedreamer 12th September 2013 01:57 AM

She really DID sound almost 95% similar to the previews coz she really was THAT good on the final. whether you guys want to believe it or not. Of coz they had to polish it even further to make it sound better.

Taishaku 12th September 2013 05:59 PM

I'm very curious about "Massive Trance Station"... Is it an interlude? Does it include any ayu-trance remixes or what it made for the concert?

rainbow_smile 12th September 2013 06:01 PM

^ IIRC it was the DJ section. The DJ just played some Ayu remixes and that's it. I'm not sure whether they were from Ayu-trance because I don't listen to her remixes apart from the Acoustic Orchestra versions.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 12th September 2013 08:39 PM

There was ONE new remix that I've never heard before...but now, I forget what song it was. I'm sure it'll be on the blu ray. I just remember that I loved it.
