I've been trying to make a full version of Contrail ~ballad version~ but I can't make a clean mix of her vocals. I've tried a mixture of using live vocals from her feel tour and the song from the album, but I can't make it sound nice. With remixes, it doesn't matter cause you can blend it into a beat, but the ballad version focuses on a piano and raw vocals and I can't do it without an official vocal track. It's super super obvious when I fade from the filtered vocal track from the original song, to the actual vocals of the ballad version. I'll keep trying.

It should be noted that Rising Pro Inc. is the former name of Vision Factory, who holds her management contract. It shouldn't have any bearing on her releasing records with Dimension Point, as I believe that's Namie's own sub-label at avex.

I think its just rumors, theres been a lot of Namie leaving rumors circling, like the one last month about her possibly leaving avex.

Well shes trying to break from Rising Pro/Vision Factory so she wants to do everything outside her music on her own too, media appearances, magazine photoshoots, endorsement deals, merchandise tie-ins, etc. I'm sure she'd be fine too, she doesn't need a manager to book these things anymore, they are just using her as a cash cow.

She's on so many book and magazine covers sometimes I feel like half her thread is nothing but posts about how pretty she looks. I see the thread name in bold and I'm thinking "oh man there must be news about her tour or upcoming single, or music video or whatever" and then I realize it's like 10 posts in a row about how she looks nice. Then someone posts another picture of her on a different magazine cover, and the cycle starts all over again. lol

I'm feeling worried about that management issues she's putting herself into... I hope this doesn't end up like Suzuki Ami's fate with her old management.

On another note or more of an inquiry anymore news about the new tour, and when does it officially start? I would love another Please Smile Again performance a la So Crazy tour, maybe with a newer song though I've had an intense obsession with pole dancing ever since First Love and it'd be awesome for her to revisit that concept. Looking into buying one myself soon they're a great form of exercise but when you fall and don't catch yourself before you hit the ground it's not the greatest feeling in the world, and bruising...omg not sexy on the legs but once you get used to it it's definitely a piece of cake lol. So I finally received my sheet music for Ballada today from CDJ super stoked!!! Here's a sample pic of one of the songs, unfortunately I don't have a scanner atm but the pic came out pretty decent from my cam so if any fellow musician's would like to me take pics and organize them so they can play these awesome Namie songs I will be more than happy to oblige, just lemme know. Oh and btw they have every track from Ballada in here...including Contrail!!! So yeah very pleased with this purchase!

Besides Namie's Style, I don't have any songs I really want her to perform. She's done such a good job at performing such amazing, fresh, and great songs and not filling up her setlist with over performed songs (sorry, not sorry ayu although she has done a good job this time around) I'm sure I'll be happy with anything she picks.

The difference is that kuu's usually take butterflies for ballads/cute songs. with namie it's probably going to be cool/sexy (even though kuu should have been ruling that department) so I'm intrigued to see what namie does with it.
