Aw, my friend just moved to wisconsin and we were speaking of how she misses Fall right now.

Actually, there was a church a block behind my dads house and in Christmas time Id take a walk and listen to JPOP holiday songs. When I walked the block f the church Id listen to Close to you and bask in the glow of the Christmas lights and decorations and glistening snow.

At first I hope she will release her new single on December 3rd - my bday. But then...NO. Ayu, don't you ever release on Dec. 3rd because Kanjani8 releases their new single that day. Even I always say I don't care about the chart but to see my favorite artist lose to Johnny's group (not that I don't like Kanjani8), it is sad. So don't ruin my happy day! XD

I'd imagine if they're going for sales, they'd definitely want to do a 3 a-side. But I'd be willing to bet they'd go for revenue instead and split the songs between 3 singles, thus splitting the sales :(

I don't think she should jump out of the gate and release a triple a side so quickly.
She needs to start small. Have 1 single, a couple of remixes and a tie in. the 2nd single same thing and then the 3rd single could be the triple a side... all 3 songs have major tie ins. make people want this shit. lol

She should throw remixes of Pray, Hello new me and what is forever love? to the new single as well

The trilogy thing could be good or bad..... As 3 separate singles, look at MOON/crossroad/L --> there's absolutely no connection between them to me.....
And if she makes a triple A-sides single, she'd better forget the idea of making a trilogy-PV, unless it's unrelated to a love story. All the trilogies she made are litteraly flops (except for vogue/Far away/SEASONS).

I've had enough mini albums. We only ever got Memorial address for the first 15 years of her career and then she releases three of them (five, love, again) within 16 months. I don't want to see another mini album for a couple years. Stick with the single/album format.

There's a picture from TA at For"A"ver clubs fb account, saying the new single is called GIFT, songs are Bonfire, Waiting for the End and Sunlight, and they have remixes, 7 songs in total. Release date is 24.12. Bonfire and Waiting for the End seem to have videos.

I always think of it this way. People get into heated arguments on here cause they're passionate about it. Otherwise they wouldn't even bother listening to her.

You think her singles can't have 7 songs? 「A」 had 14 tracks and was considered a single. Hell, most if not all of her singles up till Daybreak had around 12 tracks. And before you say something like "well that was forever ago and back when remixes and clubbing were more popular" Rule/Sparkle had 8 tracks on its single. If you actually counted all the remixes and songs together, it has 10 tracks (2 songs, 2 instrumentals, 6 remixes).

I love and hate everything with passion. But, by "end of an era" I meant the fact that avex no longer uses that classic male voice-over for their releases (or do they).

There's still a chance this tracklist could be real, right? I mean, weren't people saying Colours was a fake album title because there was no evidence and then it was announced! Keeping my fingers crossed for bonfire :)

Did you forget that other 75% of her discography where almost all her singles had like 10 tracks? LOVE and again being considered mini albums had nothing to do with how many tracks they had. That was just avex fishing for sales and money.

I like vogue Far away and SEASONS. I think they were very well made, and very definitely left an impact. It had far more imagery and meaning than her more recent (trilogy) ones, imo. Although, I do prefer Love songs trilogy to Love again.

Very true. Those videos did have a lot interesting imagery to them that I found to be intriguing. I wish more musicians thought about their PVs as a canvas for a great work of art, but they typically just seem.... disappointing and lame. (In my opinion, that is, as there are probably others who find music videos in general to be good...>.> ????)

i tend to see that korean MVs are much more in a higher quality. And i don't mean the dance group ones but more the stuff that has more imagery in them. i hadn't seen much but, you know even the dance stuff is rather well made they have this high quality somehow, at least to me. Jaejoong's MINE & Just Another Girl, XIA's Tarantallegra, Jung Joon Young's Spotless Mind, Roy Kim's BOM BOM BOM. I'd say if you don't add some sort of symbolism then just add great imagery. It will get the attention. I mean Jewel is a good example of that.

That's kinda sad. I think that those lyrics are among the most poetic ones she's had.

I'm glad I gave up on her PVs after Party Queen or so. I don't know if I've ever even watched the LOVE again PVs in full. I won't be disappointed if they continue to be unbelievably horrible in the vein of the Colours PVs lol.

I think the PV I'm most disappointed with is SURREAL, it's one of my most favorite songs ever and has the worst PV I have ever seen....

I was just saying that of the trilogies, the first set were by far the most impressive for me. In terms of her discography, they're nowhere near my favorites haha.

I'm not sure what my definite favorite it, but Free & Easy, Daybreak* and Moments are definitely in the top tier. :P

Me too. I stopped earlier. The last album I saw all the pvs for was Love songs. tbh I saw the full version of Return Road maybe a year ago? Also colours. I saw all the videos for that album, but after Love songs the only videos I've seen in full are Song 4 U (which I gotta say is one of her most uneventful pvs after Daybreak), Why..., how beautiful you are, Brillante, nanana, and...I think that's it actually. The last video she did that I fell in love with was Microphone. However, I've seen previews for all her pvs. So it's not like I have no idea what progress or snowy kiss is about, but I just have no interest. They're just not great anymore.

Actually the last thing I bought from her that was cd/dvd was Rock n Roll Circus. Everything after that has been CD only.

I also wish she would work with good photographers. And put a bit more effort in scouting locations. Her pics are all lovelly but really the same since forever.

I think it's funny, unfortunate, and strange that Ayu's English language titles for her songs have gotten MORE basic and LESS poetic the more she became fluent of the language herself! Bizzare how the titles have gotten so simple and less mature as she aged.

That's what happens when you learn a new language. At first every word is cool and you try to make everything poetic and stuff. Then it's business as usual...

AGREED. Her song titles have gotten less and less meaningful to me! Her song, "Song 4 U," for example has a lousy title, which is kind of...sad considering her lyrics for that song are quite thought-provoking to me. Another one with a...rather sad title is "now & 4eva." She needs to stop putting numbers in her titles! XD

and X'MAS Baby sounds AWFUL! UGH. Sunlight and Bonfire are much more intriguing song titles! XD I can MAYBE stand Last Miracle, as cheesy and Christmas-cliched as that sounds, but...X'MAS Baby just sounds bad to me.:no
