She was "ero-kawaii" since 2004 and as I remember she used that term in interview for a magazine. She was asked about her cute but sexy image and her response was "it's ero-kawaii". I do believe "ero-kakkoii" was born a bit later and started to be used in fashion magazines to describe sexy photoshoots of models (but it's possible that Kuu used that term first to describe her photoshoot).

I feel like everyone already gave Kuu shit for her Show Me Your Holla video being too similar to Beyonce. However, I love that Kuu is really pushing the urban image these days, I think she does it better than any Japanese artist. At least, I hope Beyonce inspired her to do that.

PS: I found where some of the confusion may have come from over Kuu having an Instagram account. It was listed on Arama Japan's list of J-Celebs with Insta accounts. The PV is nothing like Back to Basics's material, only the song itself, and to be honest is more like Burlesque than Back to Basics. I don't really care about those comparisons because doing a dancing video with the black and white scheme wasn't new even during Beyonce's Single Ladies.

I can see that she gets some inspiration from Beyonce, she even went to her concert a couple of days ago, and even tho I'm not a fan of her at all, being inspired by someone who is a good performer is always good.

Heat is a terrible song. I listened to it over and over and each time I'm like "is this really the track everyone goes on and on about???" There's nothing to it! (Except that suuuuuuper annoying beeping noise)... The remix though finally made it listenable for me - it adds so much depth and really does wonder to bring color to a very dry track. The chorus is really great with the more fleshed out production because you can actually hear the chords rather than just some strange out-of-context melody.

They had the concept for the Heat video, and it was supposed to be the a-side for the single. But after they got Chase, they decided to go with a more ero-kawaii side, since it was her first song going to that style. I wished that double a-side was a thing for her career back then.

I hope for a new single by the time of a-nation x SANKYO. I can't with one more year with the same setlist for festivals.

Chase cover makes so much more sense now. I was always wondering why the cover and the title song are so disconnected, which is very unusual for Koda. Did she talk about it in one of the magazine interviews? Oh and Chase is one perfect single and of course it had to undeperform in Japan. And yea, Heat deserves its own MV - too bad it never got one. Just watched some of Kuu's old videos, Kiseki being one of them. I feel like I've seen a few people here over the years say they are not big fans of the song. However, I must say I love her vocals in the song. It's weird because sometimes I feel like she strains in some songs, but even live she performs Kiseki well.

She recorded Say Her Name in 2010, right after Gossip Candy. I don't think it was supposed to be an a-side, and they were casting for Bambi's PV. I think it was the guy with the ugly nose who talked on his social media.

And yeah, it took 4 years to Brave see the sunlight. haha Thank god they scrapped the double a-side stay with me/Brave. But it also took around 4 years to Swallowtail Butterfly to be released as well, so it's just the way that she works, I guess. Just like AT THE WEEKEND was supposed to be the single instead of POP DIVA, so yeah, she does those things quite often.

It woudn't be the first time that she would announce a summer single this late. As I said, 4 TIMES was released 08.17, so it was defnitely a late summer release, and it was announced in the last week of june. Summer trip and Hotel were announced three weeks prior the release, so we never know.

I don't think we have any official information about the tour being divided, some poeple speculated that because they are recording some footage now, but we're getting the footage in september, so it's natural that they are recording the concert now.

I can see a special final happening tho.
