Thank you it worked. I try to get tickets for Nagoya and Fukuoka. Good luck everyone. =D @chocopockymaster I went to the genic tour with two other people and it was not that striked. They are extra careful. |

Honestly it will be great if Finally can chart on #1 for the 2nd week if not maybe 3 weeks ?
I doubt it can chart at #1 until the last week of Nov Also I hope ALARM can crack the Top 10 . I didn't expect SideM & Uta Prince to release their singles this week oh boy :tired |
^It only needs to get into the TOP10, not to get number 1..so there can be 9 other artist to chart higher than her.
|
Nah , in the 1st place I wasn't expecting ALARM to get #1 due to Kanjani∞
I didn't know SideM & Uta Prince were releasing their singles on the same week because they can sell considerably a lot and I learn from my sister not to underestimate both their fandoms lol My sister herself told her friend to go Animate to buy 4 copies of THE IDOLM@STER SideM ANIMATION PROJECT 01 「Reason!!」 & this's the 1st time I heard the regular version of a single get sold out & not the limited version |
omg guys Namie is telling us she's getting married again with that reference!!!
jk. also, I love that she was above Kana for today. LOVE it! ♥ |

Hey guys,
in honour of Namie's 25th anniversary I made a remix of Say the Word! What do you think? https://soundcloud.com/iamugoboy/nam...-free-download |
Kouhaku's performers list has been released today & unfortunately Namie is not on the list :x
What a shame , she should at most perform on Kouhaku before she retire so now the only way to really see her live in performance will be her final tour D: === https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DOuY7i_VwAAQWZj.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DOuY83yUIAApAS4.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DOuZLQIVAAAI4Iq.jpg |

Honestly I'm hoping for some avex magic over the weekend for Alarm.
|
Also , Finally 2nd week sales
1st day - #1 ; 48,273 2nd day - #1 ; 52,319 Total 2 day sales - 100,592 http://tieba.baidu.com/p/5436065564?pn=2 ALARM charts at #8 I think Finally is able to chart at #1 for the 2nd week as 2nd day sales for Kana's LOVE it is 14,923 . Finally has already outsold LOVE it almost 2:1 |
Amazing at how sales actually went up for Finally!
And yesssss @ ALARM! Tower Records posted that they didn't start shipping out pre-ordered copies until yesterday. And Oricon doesn't count copies until they're shipped I think. So I think that explains the boost. I hope the rest of the week is enough for it to be in the Top 10! |
Finally is still not listed on iTunes Japan and/or Recochoku , I guess Dimension Point really wants to push it to sell more physical copies with this being Namie's all time best album
Going to order the Taiwan press copy now before I forget x) |
go go go alarm go :banana2
|
Am I the only one who doesn't like this ALARM campaign? It's nice and all but what's wrong if it stays a #11 single? It shows how at one point she wasnt able to crack top 10 but still could pull a miracle comeback and take back the crown

^I dunno why they just did it last week so people could have bought it in bundle. But she only needs to get to 10 weekly and she is 8 today + the single had a day extra of sales. If most of the other singles go down she will be safe.
|
Quote:
Why trying to "correct" history? It's nicer without doing that. |
^Well, you can view it like that but that girl is retiring and gave a lot of her life to her fans, so fans wanna give her back that one little thing and I don't think its "correcting history" but rather "a gift from fans/public for her farewell."
It's not like they are stomping 20 singles up in the top 10 and I do think this wouldn't happen if another one or two singles would have missed the spot. Wouldn't you participate in a campaign like that for Kumi? |
Quote:
Anyway, if it can be pulled off that's great. :) I also respect the argument though that it should be left as is; no need to change history. On another note, How do you feel now? has grown on me. I think the CM helped. I feel like this track was very last minute. Title was announced last and TK was saying when she announced her retirement that it would be nice to be able to work with her again, implying that they hadn't done a song yet to that point. I feel like this was a track he had kind of laying around but not done anything with yet, and because it was last minute they just decided to kill two birds with one stone and make the PV the recording of the song. |
I'm happy enough that some people are buying ALARM at all, since the track wasn't included on Finally. Plus, everyone can have a chance to remember (or discover) how amazing STROBE is. :yes
|
Quote:
I mean, ALARM stays being not Top 10 in its first week. (plus I own all of Kuu's stuff anyway and wouldn't buy something again) |
This ALARM campaign has two faces: the fans doing it for love and gratitude... and the stores taking advantage of that.:P
But I respect what fans are trying to do. I remember back in 2011 Britney fans tried to bring Blackout to #1 on Billboard buying massively on iTunes lol |
Quote:
A Clap for you for owning everything from Kumi, i own ALARM for years and let a friend buy one nevertheless. |

I just agree with Mirrorcle Monster. It performed like it performed back then and shows, what she achieved after that more clearly. Let her history speak for itself. Let it be a natural progression. |
Are we mad now that ALARM is charting again? lol
We’re going crazy now. |

|

I still don't get the problem. Moreover, on the one hand its being said that fans try to rewrite history and two post laters its said that it won't change the initial charting. Why just not let them have that moment for their favorite singer? |
Something neato from twitter. looks like genius 2000/break the rules era namie?
https://i.imgur.com/HQdWxwG.png youtube neatoness. original version compared to finally versions. Mr. U.S.A - Sweet 19 Blues (1992-1996) a walk in the park - GIRL TALK (1996-2004) WANT ME, WANT ME - Get Myself Back (2005-2010) Fight Together - TSUKI (2011 - 2014) |
I personally think the campaign is cool. It's not about erasing the past or something, but they are trying to create a bigger impact that she already had. And even about the "it doesn't matter because it's not the first week", I think this is even better. It's never too late.
|
Why would one be against this campaign? It's not like the fans are building a time machine and CORRECTING HISTORY, this is not a revisionist movement, people lmao
Personally I think it's fu**ing cool that her fans are doing that. So instead of entering history as "the one single that didn't make it to the top 10" ALARM is going to be remembered as the single that didn't enter the top 10 when it was released, but when Namie announced her retirement, fans joined forces and gave this as a present to her immaculate discography and sales/rankings (and let's face it: if there's ANY Namie's single that don't deserve to be in the top10, this definitely isn't ALARM!) PS: I don't understand why the commotion about bringing Koda into the discussion. The user clearly is a big Koda fan, it was just a comparison. A fair one, btw. If a campaign like this was to be done to bring BoA's not-top10 singles to the top10 I'd be definitely in lmao. |
It makes no difference if it's in the first week or not. It would just need to enter the top 10 at any period since being released to be counted as a top 10 single.
If there was another artist and they were really close in some sort of sales record, then a technicality like first week would come into play. Oricon has lost all my respect tbqh, so this sort of stunt doesn't bother me in the slightest. I do think that it might not make it though... unless weekend sales are able to edge out the other singles... It's not really rewriting history either It's just adding to it :) The first charting will still be recorded, it will just have a second chart life. |
I think its a great idea wether it have success or not. And is not like they are trying with all her singles lol.
I actually find it amazing how this single reentered in the top 10 many years later, even if is just for a day. |
I can't believe the ALARM campaign has become controversial.:roflmao
It's not erasing history. ALARM will always have it's original charting recorded. If it enters the top 10 again it doesn't change the original release. It will be known as the single that did not chart in the top 10 at the time of it's release but did enter the top 10 during Namie's retirement era thanks to the fans coming together to support her and show their love. If it ends up being successful it will be a pretty impressive feat. It's not easy to get everyone to come together for a cause. |
The fact that the ALARM campaign is initiated by Namie's fans and also supported by the respective CD stores within Japan , I think that says a lot on how much Namie is meant to a lot of people
If this was something that avex initiated , I would be annoyed as it's an obvious blatant way for them to earn more $ which in this case it's true to a certain extent Not to mention , fans in other fandoms also did something similar like this . Before SMAP officially disbanded , fans were buying Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana in bulk in hoping that the news wasn't true & just rumours but sadly that wasn't the case If Namie's fans want to participate and help ALARM , I don't see what's the problem about it . They're the ones spending $ to buy the single in trying their best to get it chart in the Top 10 in Oricon , not me And I also think it's downright ridiculous to drag Kuu in the picture where she has nothing to do with this . Really , end of the day it tends to be the respective artistes' fans that have problems with each other , not the artistes themselves and that's so childish :irked |
Not to change the conversation
God, I wish I could've seen her live before she retires just to be a part of that energy for a bit. :( What's y'all's favorite tour? |
Oh, people, it's just a personal opinion! :laugh
I know, that officially it can still reach a TOP 10 position with that. It charted like it charted back then though, but in Namie's listing of her discography you then just see, how it has done altogether (the singles peak position over all and so on). You have to look further into it to see, that it charted again. With a campaign. That's how it feels like "correcting" history to me. That's why I used quotation marks. I personally don't like campaigns like that, no matter the artist (though I do like the fandom behind it). Guess, I'm mad and crazy! :happy1: (btw. SMAP's Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana did chart at #5 at the start of this week) My favourite tour still is her 2010 PAST<FUTURE Tour. Man, I love that part of her career. |
Quote:

yep the remixes were great. So CRAZY Tour is still my favorite though - even if the recorded sound is not as clear.
|
My favorite is still PLAY Tour haha :x
|
Alarm is #7 today. I see it charting #11 again haha (18-18-8-7)
|
It depends on how much the other singles around it went down. Its not the position that counts, but the totals sales of everything around it. I guess it will make sharo 10
|
Best Fiction tour, I mean the fact that Alarm and So Crazy were revamped made them that much more epic! That entire concert was PURE entertainment. From the stage set-ups, to the setlist, the outfits, and not to mention a live band. I miss the days when she would have a live band play the music rather than hearing a back track...either way like I said Best Fiction tour has to be my favorite. Especially when she flubbed during Wishing On The Same Star and that cute little mistake in White Light.

Namie is getting a special award from the Japan Record Awards this year. No word on if she will actually appear. Since she is apparently not doing Kohaku, I have a feeling it will just be past clips they have to show; maybe we'll at least get some updated HD past performance of hers or something.

The first one was 2013 where the ticket was sold through FamilyMart. I didn't know Namie's popularity so huge here in Taiwan until I went to an isolated FamilyMart to buy the ticket, while there was already a long line before the machine. (I still managed to get the ticket though, but only terrible angle seat was available) The second time was 2015 where the ticket was sold online, a friend of mine helped me to get the ticket, I've heard you need to show the same credit card to prove your ID etc. They still haven't announced her upcoming tour ticket info though, I'm sure it's pretty much the same with the last one, and fans here will be insane to get it :tired her fanbase is HUGE in Taiwan |
I finally got around to listening to Finally. I think at a first listen, a lot of people won't like a lot of the re-records. I love them all though because her audio doesn't seem to be altered much from studio edits. This is the real Namie. I've grown to be a huge Namie fan ever since the first live concert I saw of her on DVD/bluray. Its her live performances that has made me grown to love a lot of songs that I never enjoyed when listening to the studio releases. Her voice may not be at her prime as it was 5-10 years back but I love this "unedited" Namie vocals of Finally.
A lot of people on other sites hating because of the song choices of this compilation album and that there are only a mini-albums worth of new songs, but the quality of these new songs are possibly better than any of her recent albums. Not sure you can really count Just You & I and Hope as new songs since they are new OST releases, but In Two, How do you feel now, Showtime, Do It for Love, and Finally are all spectacular. As for the song choices, if they are real Namie fans, they should know that a lot of her songs, while they may be popular to the public she doesn't like a lot of them, and that she never gave a f### about how people perceive of her, so what she gives, we choose to receive. And if you don't like it, then just don't buy it. Its not like its going to hurt her sales, because Finally is ruling Japan right now. All the music stores, Tsutaya, Tower Records, etc, all their workers are wearing "Namie Amuro 25th Anniversary" T-shirts and her posters are everywhere. In Two.... is just simply perfect. As the final EDM track of her career, she leaves a worthy successor to Alive and Stranger. Clubs in Japan rarely if never play any Japanese music, but I can see Tokyo clubs like Atom or Camelot playing In Two if there are Japanese DJs. Finally is beautiful and so sad to listen to. I hope in her tour she will sing it as the final song in the tracklist, though it will just bring me and everyone else to reach for their Kleenex. Speaking of the tour, do you guys think if you request for more than 2 tickets, it decreases your chance of winning the lottery? I mean, I'm sure we all have very low chance of winning the lottery in general, but do you guys think requesting more tickets lowers it even further? |
^ I would think yes. Honestly, best chance is to just go for single tickets. I couldn't do that though 'cause my mom is a huge Namie fan too. Damn it. lol
As for Finally, after listening to it a few times, I don't like a lot of the re-recordings. Don't hate them, but they sound less "full" to me. Namie's voice has defeinitely changed as she's gotten older. She still has a great voice, but over the last two years in particular I feel that it's gotten higher and less full sounding. Possibly due to age or possibly due to overuse from all the touring she's been doing, as a result I feel that the rerecordings lack some punch to them. |
^ I kinda feel the same way for disc 2, but I really love disc 1. Though I feel the mastering of the songs on disc one aren't great and they have a grainy sound. It almost feels to me like they took a rip off the audio from the 5 domes tour and just mastered them, because they're quite similar.
|
Woo hoo! So glad she's at 1,364,362 total sales now. :) Go Namie!
|
Thanks all for the info really appreciate it, I'm so late to this - just bought the album and hoping desperately to score two tickets for April in OSAKA. I am so sad to hear she's retiring :'(

Daaaaaaaaaamn--just a little clarification on the ticket lottery:
I got my replacement copy of Finally and went to go try and apply for the same date I'd already applied for and it won't let me...you really can only apply once per date even if you've purchased multiple copies of the album. The friend I designated as my accompanying person when I balloted the first time around also won't be able to apply for the same date despite the fact that she has her own lottery code from the copy she purchased. So I applied for one ticket for the final lol we'll see how this goes |

My copy of Finally arrived today! YesAsia seem to be delivering quicker than usual lately.

Oricon wrote that within 2 weeks , Finally has sold 1.435 million copies
Finally sold about 322K in the 2nd week https://www.oricon.co.jp/news/210095...?ref_cd=tw_pic Also since Oricon didn't write anything about ALARM , I assume it didn't (re)chart on Top 10 |

Well I think I just screwed myself. I registered my d-point card and when it gave me the link to tickebo, it goes straight to a registration page for japan only residents unable to choose country or switch out some things like prefecture. So I create a tickebo account through their english page, then I link the two accounts in my d-point account page, but now theres nothing there and whenever I try to log in to tickebo it says 404 error.....
Guess I am just going to have to pray for not so robbery prices for resale tickets on ticketcamp.... *edit* It looks like for some reason my tickebo account got deleted, possibly after I decided to link it to my dpoint account. So I can remake it, but is there some sort of correct way to register for the lottery? |
Finally 2nd week sales - 321,956
Total 2 week sales - 1,435,247 Also ALARM actually was in Oricon last week at #149 . This week , it's at #14 http://tieba.baidu.com/p/5444510302?pn=2 Not so sure if ALARM has another shot in getting Top 10 but I think Finally can stay at #1 for another week until next week |
Quote:
I've never seen them make you specify who will be accompanying you to the concert this far in advance and there are warnings all over the place about name changes not being allowed under any circumstances and that they will check your passport, ID, etc against your ticket when you enter the venue. Guess we'll see how serious they are when the first shows start in February... |
Worst case scenario is if Dimension Point decides to utilise facial-scanning technology at the Dome venues but with it being a Dome tour , I doubt so as it will take a very long time to clear security but you never know
ARASHI (not sure for their current Dome tour) , B'z , Mr.Children are some of the artistes that have done this as tickets to their concerts are so hard to get and for Johnnys' concerts , you only can attend if you're in their fanclub But yet even fanclub members at times are not able to get tickets themselves |

Number 1, I've bought Namie tickets from resale shops or Yahoo auctions many times and I am obviously not Japanese and obviously do not match the kanji name that is on the ticket. Number 2, even if the person checking your ticket knows it's not yours, most Japanese will be too scared because of the language barrier to even attempt to bring it up; it's much easier for them to just wave you through. My fanspace account was registered in Japan and I was unable to even put hiragana or katakana for my name and had to make my own makeshift Kanji name that would phonetically come close to matching mine. It's six characters and looks ridiculous, lol; never once got questioned at venue, asked to see my passport, et cetera. |

So it looks like my emergency was a false alarm and I was just being a moron. I didn't realize if I logged in through fanspace then their link for tickebo, I can just apply for the lottery there.
As for the e-mail registration of attending guests discussion, its hard to say. I wish there was someone who experienced using tickebo.jp before, that way we know if attending guests have to always put in their e-mail address, hence we would know if change of guests can just transfer the tickets. I know they are doing this to prevent the abuse of resale, but how can they completely remove the option of resale? Things happen, sometimes something serious comes up, people can't make an event, and they have to resell or give to a friend or the ticket goes to waste. Would security be so enforced that they would rather let a seat go to waste than have a guaranteed attendant to enjoy the show? |
^ well yes, guests always needed to put in their email address. The only difference is that in the past you didn't need to put in the guest's email address until you were ready to download the ticket. ( a friend went with me to LIVE GENIC tour) unfortunately this tour is a special case where they changed procedure.
We still don't know if they will implement a resell system like at the Okinawa lives. And yeah, it is silly if they would enforce in that situation, especially with the amount of people attending. It seems like a lot of work. |
^ I get the feeling that security check will be the same. As you said, it would be a lot of work and its a dome event. To do a secure check of all the attendees, the 2 hour window between opening doors and the start of the concert wouldn't be enough time no matter how many entry points or ticket checkers they have. Also, the tickebo warnings of resale and ID check with drivers license or passport seems to be listed for every past Namie event on tickebo, so it seems to be an illusion of heightened security while it is pretty standard. And lastly, thank you for the information about your LIVE GENIC tickets. With that being said, my e-mail address was never registered for my LIVE STYLE 2016-2017 tickets. A mutual friend bought me and my friend our tickets through resale on ticketcamp. He just forwarded the QR codes to my friend. He may have registered my friend's e-mail address when he downloaded the tickets, but he didn't know my e-mail address and I went through with no problems when I checked in my ticket. They also never asked for ID, they just scanned my QR code and it was fine. I think it will be okay.
