Ayu and team did such an amazing job on the acapella version of the new ballad. I got goosebumps just listening to it. She also looked absolutely lovely and it was fun to see her interact with her team in a laid back setting. They seem like a fun group of people.

The LINE LIVE was gorgeous! Why can't she be like this when she's on stage or on TV??? Just natural. When she's performing she's really becoming so fake. I think this kind of image would probably stop people in Japan giving her such a hard time.

yes I think "elaborate" costumes and make up are a things of the past now people want to see more casual look from an artist !

Woww, the acapella version of The way I am (love the title btw) is amazing! I'm really impressed with her vocals. I would be happy if she only sang her songs acapella live the rest of her career. It really seems singing this way works best for her voice.

I've always preferred her like this as well. She's a natural performer, has an amazing stage presence and does not need huge props, flashy outfits or a million dancers to be entertaining to me. Another benefit of her being more natural and toning things down is that her vocals seem to be much better! It just seems her preference (or maybe her Japanese fans preference) is for things to be flashy the majority of the time.

Even if Ayu goes over the top sometimes, a heavier make up is a must at a stage in a big venue because, unlike must of us, the audience will be seeing her from far away with strong lights over her. Having a everyday make up males her expressions less dicernable from afar.

Now, about props and dancers, her converts had being extravagant and theatrical since the Concert Tour dates, and it's most likely the kind of show she likes doing the most.

From the photos it does look like her hall concerts are far simpler, and it doesn't really get simpler than the TA Tours that are held at very small venues.

Ayu always do a good job on acapella. not discration from the band make her vocal more stable and she can hear her own voice clearly.

She did kinda look bloated on the -last- LINE LIVE so it must be a medication or hormonal thing but she looked fine at this one.

I tend to agree because it's not just her face (which would indicate fillers, although maybe she's doing that in addition); it seems to be more of an overall, so probably some kind of medication that's causing a lot of water retention.

I'm glad to see they are handling it differently this time. At least they are trying "new" things.

That CM is honestly one of the best she's ever had. I would have loved if they played a track, though. For example, as if a store is playing it and you hear it outside. Nevertheless, it's great! Wish Shibuya would actually have all all these billboards with her there!

People in the replies comparing it to FEEL *facepalm* leave her the f*ck alone already

I really loved this CM. It's like Ayu is slowly taking over the whole city, but unlike Namie's Feel CM that is visually similar, it's not a happy or a celebratory take over, but as she was some kind of ghost or something as people are still living they everyday lives while that happens, as there are no music playing and the sounds of the city doesn't cease. The fact that we only see parts of the billboards in the corner of the buildings instead of the whole thing directly focused by the camera algo gives this feeling of a discreet unoticed take over until it's already all over the place.

I found it to be kinda dark, in the best way possible.

I don't think she released such an interesting promo since the Love songs one, or even the A Complete Who... CM.
