Pin Drop's performance was pretty good! I was expecting a mess for the vocals, because of the edited vocal parts, but overall it was very nice.

Pameo Pose is Kuu's favourite brand - and it's a Japanese one.
Remember the big blog entry about her visiting one of the only two shops in the limited blog she had. Another one she often wears is Emoda (a Gyaru brand run by a former Gyaru model). It's awesome that she prefers local and smaller brands privately. While she wears high fashion brands for work a lot, she only has a piece here and there for her private style. |

I guess she has a good stand with sports media and fans because of her engagement with Sagan Tosu, baseball and female wrestling. Especially the last one is interesting. And in the article it says that the rate of young fans, teens and tweens, at her lives increased, next to the old fans around 40 (in their 30s and 40s), especially women. Great to hear confirmation about her gaining young fans. I do wonder why avex keeps the more impressive performances of the tour under wraps. We only got footage of Dangerous, some ballads and end/encore songs. HAIRCUT, ScREaM and Outta My Head e.g. would show better why this tour is something to look forward to. Or also HOT HOT with the fans. I suppose the thought is that they want to increase the interest for the DVD release by limiting those performances to the DVD (and maybe a TV broadcast). But imo it would help more gathering interest if they showed snippets of those, so people will know what to expect. I mean, they did it in the past. Oh avex. |

So, guys... I met Kuu-chan today!!!!!! I'm still not believing this happened but here's a huge review about this unexpected highlight of my day.
I went to a gallery here in Tokyo today in a neighborhood that is very crowded and kinda of expensive, but the gallery is located in a very peaceful and calm street out of this chaos. After the gallery I decided to walk around and go to another gallery. On the way, there was no one on the street but me. At some point a minivan was leaving a building so I kinda of slowed my pace to let the van leave but it stayed at the same place. And then I noticed a men and a women walking on my direction, and the women was very stylish but at the time I looked at her she dropped something on the floor and got down to pick it up so I couldn't see her face. And then she stand up and bam... it was Koda Kumi. I recognized her immediately. I walked thru her and the guy (as they were talking) and I was just thinking "should I talk to her? or is it too invasive? weird?". I noticed that she was will full make up on and stuff like that so I assumed she was working so I thought that maybe she would be happy to see a foreigner acknowledging her work and telling her that he loves her music. So I decided to talk to her. So I just got back and said a very nervous "Koda Kumi?" and then she replied - in english - with a surprised "Hello!". And after that I just said that I love her music and that I was very surprised to meet her. And she asked me where I was from, and I said "Brazil" and she gave me a surprised look, shaked my hand, said bye and entered the van. And I just died. lol This was the most random thing that ever happened in my life so far. I wish I could took a picture but that could be too invasive. |

I really wonder what kind of music release we'll see in 2019. All Kuu has been posting about is the DNA/AND DVD release. Wonder if 2019 could become another 2016 with no new music and just a new tour. |
I wonder that, too.
Everything after her 15th Anniversary has been in double concepts with identity being her main theme. Summer of Love/ Winter of Love W FACE ~inside~/ W FACE ~outside~ AND/ DNA So is she going to do another one next year to close the 5 year cycle till her 20th Anniversary? I can also see her starting to celebrate her 20th Anni next year earlier than December already like she did with her 15th Anni. |
