When Step You was released the promotion wasn't that big, she did like three or four shows and some mag covers, I think more than this time.

Good that you find it funny. But most people think it's REALLY REALLY stupid and not funny at all and sometimes a little offensive and honestly, I don't think the fact he likes her gives him the right to say such things, even if he doesn't like the person, this isn't a nice/funny/inteligent thing to say, at least in my IMO (and, I guess, most people at this board. But I can be wrong). I honestly don't care if he doesn't mean it, is just annoying, so I think he should stop it.

i think it will move maybe a spot or two as Morning Musume's single continues to go down every day

Not everybody works as fast, or is as heavily milked by Avex as Koda Kumi now. :)

However, I'd actually like to see someone overtake her though, with great music and showmanship. But I have to admit, it's hard to find someone who can do both as well as Ayu these days.

i agree that koda has a nice voice but her sex appeal can be die sometime..so i don't think she can hold her position for a long term...some of her 12 single was really bad...i think it can be a b side or c side for ayu song...she sales well because of her unique voice and unique image..
i don't think ai deserve it too...
the one that i looking for right now was ayaka...she was totally excellent rockie this year...

Its still holding up well despite new releases this week. Currently at #7, even better than last weeks Wednesday position strangely. But don't expect similar sales though.

even though avex is milking Koda it's mainly for sex appeal... and when a company drowns the sales with one artist the artist tends to have a good run and then fail rapidly... I think Koda should slow down before people start to get sick of her, I personally like her but quality over quantity people.

and Ayu should't shoot herself... single sells will NEVER be what they were 3 years ago... mp3 is the new wave of the future :yes CD's will soon be obsolete, just like cassettes before them, and records before them...
