lol, I edited it and added the song in, it was the first thing I made on movie maker, ages ago... just thought I'd put it up.

Holly Valance is the one who remade it. I heard the original and like both of them and even the other remake is ok, lolz.

Calvin Delivers Kylie "Big Gay Pop"

Quote:

by Andrew Tijs - April 30 2007

Scottish electro producer Calvin Harris gives Kylie Minogue a "big gay pop" track.

Harris spoke to MTV UK about his surprise hit, 'Acceptable In The '80s', his new superstar pals and his work on Kylie's new album. Harris said his involvement was due to Minogue's A&R man. He'd heard Harris' music and requested he remix an All Saints song "as a bit of a test". Harris continued, "Then he said 'Do you fancy working with Kylie?' and I said 'Are you kidding me?' She was brilliant to work with."

They are collaborating on a handful of tracks. Harris said that they have already finished and recorded one track, which "sounds like 500 men with their tops off dancing". He quipped, "It's dirty, it's sweaty and a bit wrong. And big gay pop of course."

Harris dismissed recent reports that he and Minogue have become romantically involved. "We're just friends, that story was completely untrue," he said to MTV UK adding, "The height difference is mad. I'm 6'5 she's 5'1 so it wouldn't work."

Other collaborators that have been suggested for Kylie's tenth album include R&B producer Teddy Riley, Boy George and Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters.
OMG OMG OMG This album is gonna be so fun, CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Kylie to star in Diana tribute

Quote:

KYLIE Minogue will star at the Princess Diana Memorial concert, sharing the stage with Take That and Ricky Gervais.

A source told The Sun newspaper Kylie had agreed to take part in the memorial gig, and details were being finalised.

“We’re just signing off some details, but it all looks good,” the pop insider said.

It is not yet known whether Kylie will sing at the concert - organised by Princes William and Harry - or introduce other acts. But her appearance will be a huge boost to the gig which had been criticised by the British press for failing to attract enough big name celebrities.

In another coup for the princes, Comic Ricky Gervais, 45, and boyband Take That were also signed up yesterday. Organisers are still asking Reese Witherspoon to introduce acts like Lilly Allen, Rod Stewart and Kanye West.

A crowd of 62,000 is expected to watch the Diana concert. It runs for five hours and will feature video clips of the late Princess of Wales.

What makes it even more sweet is that Kylie did not release hers in North America and it's only been out a few days, yet it's already outsold everyone else... I think I should be thanking the Chinese, lolz.

I'm not surprised that kylies line is doing well, but I am surprised if she really outsold Madonna considering that Kylie's line is just beachwear/bikini compared to Madonna's much more extensive line. I suppose that means Madonnas line didn't do so great in EU & Asia.

as a guy neither of lines or women cloths in general concern me lol, but I have to say Kylie's line is very sexy & chic whereas madonna's is a bit fug with all the suspenders, labcoats & corset-things.

Hopefully Kylies line debuts here soon so I get so see the ads on tv & the billboards while i commute to uni :love

btw, kingofpop; have you found the H&M CM downloadable anywhere ?

..:Hot:Like:Wow:.. 7th May 2007 01:58 PM

Well it's up as a billboard in my sig, on some theatre, forgot the name, I just know it's near the London eye.

This is only version I know of and it seems to be the only one, as it's the same one uploaded by all the youtube people and the same one posted at all her forums. But hey, beats ripping from youtube.

Thank you, thank you King of Pop. I had fun making it. Well, not as much fun cutting the images out as I did putting them together. Confide in Me is awesome! The first time I heard it was on Kylie Live in Sydney and I was in love. That album I got the pics from is pretty cool and sexy. It has the french version of Confide in Me on the 2nd disc. =)

I didn't know Pandora had covered that song, thx. Pandora was super popular in EU & Asia like ten years ago, I remember liking her songs :D

She's sorta in here at the moment again since her songs "Trust Me" & "Don't You Know" have been remixed by this group called United DJ's and both new remixes are huge club hits.

Kylie Minogue may be attracting attention with the male company she keeps, but all eyes were on her new hair do as she stepped out in New York.
Her ultra fair locks channelled 70s icon Blondie, while her outfit was also a nod to retro style - a figure hugging psychedelic print dress.

Oversized black shades and trademark megawatt smile completed the singer's head-turning look.

Kylie did a duet with Sharron Stone for The Locomotion

lolz, apparantly, what happend is Sharon Stone just got up and yelled who wants to see Kylie sing! and Kylie reluctantly just got up and started.
Quote:

KYLIE Minogue swapped a London recording studio for the south of France last night to attend a star-studded charity fundraiser for Aids research.

The star was in the audience when she was plucked out to sing a short tune for the celebrity crowd.

Apparently, Kylie brought everyone to their feet when she sang a few verses of Locomotion. An audience member then offered the charity $100,000 if she sang, Can't Get You Out Of My Head, which she happily obliged, according to Eonline's Planet Gossip.

The pop princess had earlier rubbed shoulders with fellow Aussie Toni Collette, model Claudia Schiffer and director Quentin Tarantino at the annual Cinema Against Aids benefit.

Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Matt Damon also made an appearance at the concert, ahead of the launch of their new film Ocean's Thirteen.

The glittering fundraiser is a highlight of the Cannes Film Festival.

Ms Minogue appeared relaxed as she jetted out of Heathrow last night.

She is expected to go on to Stockholm after France to continue recording her new album.

The jet-setting singer recently holidayed in Chile with Mexican film director Alexander Dahm, and also spent time in New York.

You wouldn't be able to find anything Kylie if they did. They definitely have Madges line (which is now in the back of the store :laugh), but Kylie is nowhere to be seen. It's most likely because they wouldn't see it selling here since very few people know who she is, and if they do, it's ONLY because of CGYOOMH.

Kylie Minogue To Get 2007 MITS Award

Aussie Pop Star Is First Woman To Win Britain's Music Industry Trusts' Award
Quote:

(Hollywood Reporter) Australian-born pop queen Kylie Minogue is the recipient of the 2007 Music Industry Trusts' Award and the first woman to win the title in the event's 16-year history. The honor is bestowed annually to an individual who has made a distinctive and lasting contribution to the British music industry. The award has raised more than £2.7 million ($5.4 million) for Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy and the BRIT Trust.

Minogue, who is described by committee chairman David Munns as "by far the most glamorous" recipient in the event's history, will receive her award in a presentation at London's Grosvenor House on Oct. 29. That's three months before the 20th anniversary of the singer's first U.K. hit, "I Should Be So Lucky," the first of her seven No. 1 singles in the market.

The committee is recognizing Minogue's "universally acclaimed status as an icon of pop and style achieved over a 20-year career which has seen her reinvent, experiment and inspire." In a statement issued today, the committee said, "Kylie has established one of the longest and most successful careers as a performer in contemporary popular music and her tenacity and determination to succeed, on and off the stage, have been an inspiration to so many. Kylie has a unique place in this country's heart and an appeal that seems to grow ever wider. We salute Kylie for her unique gifts as one of the great entertainers of all time."

The MITS award, as it has become known, was won last year by promoter and entrepreneur Harvey Goldsmith. Previous honorees have included Peter Gabriel, Elton John and Bernie Taupin, John Barry, George Martin, former BPI director general John Deacon, Ahmet Ertegun and DJ Alan Freeman.

"It is an incredible honor to be the recipient of this year's Music Industry Trusts' Award and I am truly thrilled to be recognized in this way," comments Minogue. "As well as being a fantastic evening, this award ceremony also raises much needed funds for the Brit Trust and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and it is a pleasure for me to be involved."

Minogue is a household name in Britain, where she first rose to fame in the 1980s as an actor in the Australian soap opera "Neighbours."

She recently hit the comeback trail after taking time out to recuperate from breast cancer. Prior to her diagnosis in 2005, the singer became the first solo female artist to play a seven-night string of dates at the 18,500-seat capacity Earls Court venue. Madonna previously had that record with six nights in 2001.

Kylie celebrates 20 top years

http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/3...3478100az4.jpg

Quote:

Diminutive diva Kylie Minogue is celebrating 20 years at the top of the pop tree and, to mark the occasion, is hosting a massive pop jamboree in London.
Quote:

SHE'S sung about it for ages, now pop princess Kylie Minogue is calling everyone around the world to come together and celebrate.

Having just become the first female recipient of the Music Industry Trust's Award, the divine Miss M is believed to be shelling out nearly $1.2 million for a party to acknowledge her claim to the throne as pop queen.

Marking Minogue's extensive commitment to the music industry, the bash is tipped to take place in August to coincide with the 20th anniversary of her first single, Locomotion, going to the top of the Aussie charts.

According to UK reports, the diminutive popette is planning to fly in close friends and family from Down Under and has also invited her grandmother in Melbourne to shake her stuff at the big event.

Guests have apparently been asked to converge at a Soho hotel before being bussed to the secret party location, with the singer recently spotted inspecting trendy venues around London district's Shoreditch and Canary Wharf.

The super-soiree is also believed to double as the pre-launch of Minogue's new album and simultaneously announce her 2008 world tour.

It's also a celebration of her return to the music world after her fight against breast cancer.
In a step back in time, Minogue is believed to have invited her old Neighbours co-star Jason Donovan, but will her French ex love rat Olivier Martinez get a guernsey? He should be so lucky.

I guess by world tour she means she'll tour China & Japan and maybe few other Asian locations too this time besides the usual EU + Australia locations. the Showgirl tour was supposed to tour those too before the cancellation.

I think Kylie might be able to do NY & L.A too. I wonder tho if she'll risk bringing the tour to the US at all, it's not very likely. it's a expensive & very grand arena tour, you can't take chances with the success of it.

anyways, I'm looking forward to hearing about the new album. hopefully ASAP :yes

Beyonce accused of cloning Kylie

Quote:

Beyoncé's metamorphosizing-robot performance "Get Me Bodied" at last night's BET Awards has caught the eye of a thousand Kylie Minogue obsessives, who are in a tizzy over the admittedly strong similarities between her arrival onstage and the way Minogue opened her shows way back in 2002. A clip of Kylie's entrance is above, and we have to say that watching it, we felt a bit bad for B: On first watch, we thought she kinda looked like a dollar-store Oscar replica, but the performance's low production values (are her suit's doors creaking?) were made only more obvious after watching the Australian diva's quite-form-fitting outfit, which was obviously inspired by repeated watchings of Tron.
http://idolator.com/tunes/today.s-no...fan-272865.php
Quote:

Beyonce's show-stopping metallic robot outfit and wild dance routine on US television this week certainly wasn't inspired by an extra-terrestrial encounter.

The R&B diva's performance bears a striking resemblance to a show put on by Kylie Minogue back in 2002.

During Kylie's "Come Into My World" Fever tour, she opened the concert encased in a robot costume, which was based on designs from the 1927 film Metropolis by famed Austrian director Fritz Lang.

Beyonce, like Kylie, emerged from the space-age suit and began to sing and dance after its metallic panels opened up electronically.

However, the former Destiny's Child did throw in some uniquely "Bootylicious" robot dance moves at the BET awards show on Tuesday night.

It is not the first time Beyonce has been accused of stealing, with one current lawsuit forcing her to suspend production of her latest album.

The 25-year-old is currently being sued by soul star Des'ree after she covered one of her songs and put it on her B'Day Deluxe album without copyright permission.

Des'ree is seeking unspecified damages "in excess of $150,000," as well as an injunction on the distribution of the song and the video for it.

Kelly Rowland set to cover Kylie Minogue

From sydney Confidential
July 10, 2007 08:40am

IT'S the kind of song that is hard enough to get out of your head as it is, now it's going to be even harder with news that Kelly Rowland is doing a cover version of one of "our Kylie's" biggest hits.

The catchy club track Can't Get You Out of My Head will be back on our airwaves in no time after the former Destiny's Child diva announced she would re-release Minogue's chart-topping dance tune.

The move follows fan feedback the rhythm and blues singer received after performing a version of the song at an exclusive London nightclub.

However, the new translation is set to have more of a hip-hop feel - very different to the bubblegum pop version originally released in 2001.
I love Kelly but this does not at all make me happy... *Hopes it's good*

Groove Armada praise new Kylie album

Tuesday, July 10 2007, 14:35 BST

By Daniel Kilkelly

Kylie Minogue's comeback album promises to be a huge success, according to Groove Armada star Andy Cato.

Minogue has recorded a track with the electronic music group and allowed the boys to hear a taster of her new album, which will be released by the end of this year.

"Ours is the best tune. The track we've done is a killer," Andy told the Daily Star. "I've heard snippets of her album here and there just to get the flavour of it and, as always, we've gone off on a bit of a tangent - but Kylie sounds great. She's just brilliant at giving it a real attitude. I think it's going to be a big one."

His bandmate Tom Findlay added: "It's sort of a Blondie pop with a stripped-back sound."
I don't know WTH stripped back means but I like it.

Halla 13th July 2007 10:08 AM

Kelly Rowland is so desperate. her new album is sorta bland :o

I wish Kylie would at least release a new single soon :yes

Barbarellacult 13th July 2007 04:25 PM

I like Kylie's robot suit better. :P Kelly Rowland covering "Can't Get You Outta My Head" could be interesting....

I think I'll search for other Kylie songs. :P

OMG, thank you, qwerty. You made my day. =) Love French and Saunders. Love them!

Beyond the Sea 28th July 2007 05:43 AM

If you guys ever watch those VH1 access shows and specials, they play songs like

love at first sight
cgyoomh
slow
red blooded woman

all the time in the background :)

Beyond the Sea 17th August 2007 10:07 PM

NEW SONG! FINALLY! It's a song featuring her, but it's her first official song in years!

It sounds great! :D

Vinylfantasy 17th August 2007 10:20 PM

I love Just Jack! That's so cool they collaborated!

Partino 18th August 2007 08:48 AM

bernardation 19th August 2007 11:36 PM

I noticed that too! I heard Red Blooded Woman and was like "Hell Yeah!"

Vinylfantasy 20th August 2007 07:20 PM

They play her at my work sometimes which is really weird since the radio station hardly plays updated stuff. It brightens my day :)

..:Hot:Like:Wow:.. 3rd September 2007 02:44 PM

I've been paying very little attention to my fave singer lately but these have brought me back... Leaked tracks!

[SS] I Am Ready (Track made with Boy George, leaked today, it's crap, thankfully not on he new album)

[SS] Lose Control (This one is freaking amazing, I can't stop listening to it... leaked soon after the first bunch and I never even knew... I think)

[SS] On the Up (dunno know anything about this but the song is great, not amazingly great like Lose control but great nontheless)

Cyria 3rd September 2007 05:25 PM

Thanks for the tracks! I agree that Lose Control is awesome.

I read that the single is supposed to be called 2 Hearts and will be sent to the radio in September, released October 22nd.

..:Hot:Like:Wow:.. 4th September 2007 07:28 AM

Yeah I read that too, but I thought the release was on th 15th... does'nt really matter anyway, it's all so close to Kylie fever again *has a little fit*

Partino 4th September 2007 10:02 AM

Lose Control is awesome but can it top the international success of Can't Get You out of My Head??? dunno... it's a typical kylie song but can it reach new kylie fans???

I'm so excited, I can hardly wait! :yatta

..:Hot:Like:Wow:.. 22nd September 2007 10:15 AM

So bittersweet right now, mostly bitter... The Groove Armada track is not there when it is supposed to be the best out of the entire X sessions, I think she could have done better than put In my arms, sensitized, and stars on the the album, and the demo of 2 Hearts was so sucky... she better have had it completely redone, and even then, I don't see it being a chart buster. I hope i'm proven wrong so badly.

To the good... I'm so damn excited for the Bloodshy & Avant tracks, I love almost all their work, especially Toxic, and they supposedly made 3 songs for the new Britney album too. I'm expecting NU-DI-TY" and SPEAKERPHONE to be the best. Oh and "The One" cause of the Freemasons.

Vinylfantasy 22nd September 2007 10:52 AM

I'm excited to hear the stuff she did with Freemasons too! I love their music.

Cyria 22nd September 2007 04:16 PM

I don't think Sensitized and Stars are that special, but my overall impression from the leaked tracks is that I'm going to like the style of this album.

For me that's the best news about the tracklist.

Halla 22nd September 2007 05:26 PM

I have mixed feelings about the tracklist. I'm sorta miffed that none of the leaked tracks I liked the best (Excuse my French, When the Cat's Away) are missing & the tracks I didn't feel were anything that awesome are included (Sensitized, Stars).

well I'm still looking forward to the album & I'm sure it'll grow on me regardless :yes

I think Kylie often has really good bonus tracks & b-sides, like during the "Fever era" (Rendevouz at Sunset, Good like That + etc). so hopefully there'll be great remixes & b-sides on different editions of the album / singles.

any word on possible special editions of her upcoming album? I'm personally going to wait & see if there'll be one, like with Fever. eventho I don't think there was one for Body Language, was there?
hopefully there's a japanese special edition of X as great as the japanese special edition of Fever called "Fever: Hyper Edition" :D

KanDa KoTObuKI 22nd September 2007 05:58 PM

can't wait for her new album *__*
such a great gift for my little christmas <3 <3 ( with ayu new album surely XD )
but i'm a little disapointed to see Star, Sensitized, In my arms in the tracklist ;_;

I think Body Language just had a couple of different bonus tracks. I loved Hyper Edition (making a great album even better), so it would be great if X got a similar treatment.

atashida 22nd September 2007 08:24 PM

anyone know where to get any fever era b-sides? I can't get them on itunes (US) ;_;

..:Hot:Like:Wow:.. 23rd September 2007 01:07 AM

^ even I don't have them, I use to but I lost them.

I think it's to early to tell if their wil be any special editions...

This song should have been on the album instead of stars, sensitized, or In my arms.

"In the mood for love"... I'm more excited for the album now :D

White Diamond is not in this album. I am surprised.

Not what I expected, but stylish.

bernardation 23rd September 2007 08:52 PM

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW

i LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halla 23rd September 2007 09:10 PM

that's an ugly cover compared to her last few albums :(

Vinylfantasy 23rd September 2007 09:12 PM

I think it's beautiful! :yes

Cyria 26th September 2007 08:26 AM

Single cover:

I think it's kind of 80s. Again, not what I expected but interesting.

kotora 26th September 2007 02:27 PM

I love both covers. Most of them western CD covers impress me much.

Vinylfantasy 26th September 2007 09:19 PM

OMG that's so awesome! It's very David Bowie! :yes

ayu_ready? 26th September 2007 09:26 PM

it looks so retro ish...odes she has tons of make up because she's like after the ilness?

I like them & I don't at the same time
previous were bettermfever is 4ever best I guess

ayu99persen 2nd October 2007 04:33 PM

wow the album cover looks so............................... but i like it

the single cover looks so awesome

bondingo 3rd October 2007 03:35 AM

The single cover is absolutely stunning but I'm really not into the album cover at the moment. I think it might grow on me, but it certainly isn't what I was expecting. I was thinking it would be a lot more like the 2 Hearts cover.

Cyria 14th October 2007 12:06 PM

2 Hearts (song and video) leaked while AHS was down. I thought it would be a dance track, but it's kind of rock/retro, IMO. It'll be interesting to find out how much of the new album resembles that single.

Halla 14th October 2007 12:13 PM

I'm not really liking "2 Hearts" that much , but I still have faith for the album judging from some other leaked tracks.

ditto, 3 years and such an anti climax... but yeah, I still hold hope for the album... I think the sales for the album will start of sluggish cause of this 2 Hearts.

Is'nt this the official album cover?

I like it less than the 2 Hearts cover and the dark pic I thought would be the album cover. It would be prettier without the yellow/red borders, and why did they blur her fingers?
