Wow, this was a **** comeback. Even that tramp Britney's comeback was better than this.

marty518 23rd November 2007 12:20 AM

I got tickets to see them in Chicago. I am REALLY excited. I saw them 9 years ago the first time around, and I look forward to what they are going to do.
I'm not even a "huge" fan, but I really think I'll be entertained by this show.

LAWL, I'm suprised no-one bashed me yet. She's not that bad really. x]

bluegie 23rd November 2007 07:57 PM

i dun think they really wanna come back.. I guess it's just a reunion then they'll be gone for the next 10 years before another reunion will occur..

and so far it's no. 9.. quite bad but it's better than no. 10. I mean, Top 10 hit ain't too bad, but top 20 is. If they're hanging around no. 10, they may have chance to get kicked to no. 11 (and that's the top 20 level..)

austin. ♥ 23rd November 2007 08:11 PM

^ But their lowest position before was #2. I haven't seen them perform once, with the exception of CIN. Plus, it's a bad song. Disapointeddd. :[

Miku 23rd November 2007 09:47 PM

I love love love the new album "Now Return" :P

You can order the regular edition (CD only) through the Victoria's Secret website, and their retail shoppes.

A few eBay sellers are also selling the Taiwan version (CD & CD+DVD).

OH MY GOD. <3333

The Vancouver concert was PHENOMENAL. Except for the part where they started a half hour late. But it was amazing to see them in concert after worshipping them throughout my childhood, and they all looked fantastic. The stage was set up really well, lots of video screens and a very neat catwalk with lots of trapdoors and such. The setlist, if I remember correctly, went something like this...

1. Spice Up Your Life
2. Stop
3. Say You'll Be There
4. Headlines
5. The Lady Is A Vamp
6. Too Much (uptempo version!)
7. 2 Become 1
8. Who Do You Think You Are (Extended - Posh Spice sashaying down the catwalk...)
9. Scary Spice - Are You Gonna Go My Way (AKA picking a member of the audience and nearly molesting him, with a long whip attached to the end of her microphone)
10. Baby Spice - Maybe
11. Viva Forever
11. Holler (NO GERI)
12. Ginger Spice - It's Raining Men
13. Sporty Spice - I Turn To You
14. Let Love Lead The Way (NO GERI)
15. Mama
16. Celebration -> Let's Dance -> We Are Family Medley
17. Goodbye (w/ Geri)
ENCORE
18. If U Can't Dance
19. Wannabe
20. Spice Up Your Life (Reprise)

All in all, the concert was phenomenal. I can't wait to fly back home next month and see it again! <3

(Gorgeous costumes too, btw.)

I was wondering if anyone from here was going to see the Vancouver show :)

nightlightyear 3rd December 2007 10:40 PM

I only recently rediscovered them. "If you wanna be my loveah~" lol

They were cute back in the day. Im glad they are on tour! ^^

I remember the movie the most. I wish I was into them more! I would've totally gone to the concert anyway.

cloud♥honey 3rd December 2007 11:03 PM

I've bought the Box version. 3CDs + DVD. The booklet is really fugly but I love the collection. Headlines and Voodoo were :heart I can't stop to remember when I was supayoung. They make me fall in love.

KaoriNeko 3rd December 2007 11:19 PM

Am I skipping something or did Posh Spice not perform a solo?

s1012h 3rd December 2007 11:36 PM

^she admitted she wasn't the most vocally talented of the 5
the other four girls sang a song from their solo albums
and Victoria got her own solo and being a model and walking down the runway lol

Weslicious 3rd December 2007 11:50 PM

Awww, no Mel C backflip during Wannabee :(

From the clips I've seen, I can't wait to go. Psyched :D

bondingo 4th December 2007 12:07 AM

Does anyone think they'll release a concert DVD? I really hope they do, because it already almost made me cry watching the 2 Become 1 performance knowing I can't go.

Vinylfantasy 4th December 2007 12:31 AM

Mel B sang a song from Lenny Kravitz, she didn't sing one of her solo songs either xD

LEOyumi 6th December 2007 01:54 AM

And there is also another part in which LAV is played.. In SUYL Reprise! \o/

From the official Spice Girls website:

Quote:

02 April 2008
SPICEY THANK YOU
The Spice Girls would like to thank each and every one of you that has taken the time to write and tell them just how much you enjoyed the Return Of The Spice Girls Tour. The girls worked really hard on the show, and hearing how much you loved it has made all of the work worthwhile! Sadly there will not be a DVD release of the 47-date tour but the girls hope you were all left with some fantastic personal memories of the show. Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria said “We had an absolutely amazing time on the Return of The Spice Girls Tour and we would like to say a final thank you for all of your support. Girl Power lives on.”
I feel totally gypped. I barely remember the concert itself, I was so excited to just be there; I was really counting on the DVD. I hope there's a bootleg running around somewhere. Wasn't the show televised?

chocopockymaster 7th April 2008 09:57 PM

That's absolute CRAP. I'm so angry right now. I was really REALLY looking forward to the DVD!

KaoriNeko 7th April 2008 10:50 PM

I totally forgot to mention that I attended their last show in the US. The one in Hartford, CT, my state's capital city. And OMG, I ****ing loved it...

BUT NO DVD!?
:weep

milky_way 7th April 2008 10:56 PM

That's just awful about the DVD. What about the people like me who didn't get to go? :weep

bondingo 7th April 2008 11:28 PM

I didn't get to go either, so the fact that they didn't release a DVD really pisses me off. Like, I can't even explain how angry I am right now. I was planning on buying the Greatest Hits Box Set now, but I won't anymore because I'm honestly that pissed. Even if it won't do any good, I'll probably send an email voicing my frustration.

orangeland 8th April 2008 12:50 AM

no dvd?! what a bummer. :( i was really counting on that too since they didn't come to atlanta :(

P.S. I do remember hearing somewhere that one of the London shows was recorded...

Catzi 8th April 2008 12:55 AM

Seriously, no DVD. How saddening. :(

chocopockymaster 8th April 2008 01:13 AM

I've been listening to the O2 rip since I found out there would be no DVD...it's really such a shame, for such an amazing show. Being able to listen to it is fantastic, but I want to be able to see the whole thing again in DVD-q.

Damn you, Simon Fuller!

EDIT: Sign, people!

hightea_xx 8th April 2008 02:02 AM

that's balls... i want to remember my spice experience with a dvd! : ( it was what i was looking forward too... AS IF they don't want to make money off a DVD... it's the PERFECT way to let the people who didn't be go see the show and for those who went to RELIVE it!

ll moments ll 8th April 2008 02:39 AM

WHAT?! i was sitting so high up at Staples Center, i couldn't really get to see all the details and costumes clearly. i was really, really hoping for a DVD release. :(

GAHHH.

Arenia 16th October 2008 09:58 PM

uhm.... may i ask??
do you know where to download all about spice girls?
like PV, consert, album, etc

thanks before
sorry for my english ^^

rookies 24th December 2009 02:04 AM

I got their Greatest Hits CD today! (2CD). It was at a discount price, at this section of the music store, so I was so happy.

I did hear "Headlines" back when it was first released, but I didn't own the song on a CD until now. The song is so nice and sweet, not sure if it is catchy though. "Voodoo" is an okay song, it's not as good as I thought it was going to be.

I wish there were more new songs, so that there could be more potential singles to be released from it. I think that's the only thing I found that was missing from the tracklisting, which could have made it better, imo.

rookies 8th February 2012 10:17 PM

I read in a local newspaper that the Spice Girls will be performing at Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee.

And then I went on wikipedia, and it mentioned this:

Quote:

In January 2012, Brown hinted of the possibility that the group will be reuniting to perform at the London Summer Olympic Games 2012's opening, as well as at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

I really want a new single from them if they are re-uniting. But even if they won't get back together, I'm thinking we might get something in 2017, since that is their 20th Anniversary.

ohsixthirty 8th February 2012 11:00 PM

^yeah, i read that same article. i actually shared it to my facebook a couple weeks ago.

anyway, i'm excited to see them get together, even if it is just for one live!

AyuGAME 13th August 2012 08:37 AM

how cool is this!!!

Spice up your life still the best song out there

bluegie 13th August 2012 01:03 PM

Anywhere I can download the video in HD? I missed the performance and youtube has blocked all the videos already... :no

AyuGAME 13th August 2012 05:15 PM

^you can download it from youtube...official olympics account, HD available as well..use IDM or other youtube downloader

bluegie 13th August 2012 09:24 PM

Thanks for the tip :).

Tho I went to the official olympic channel, found the video... But it's blocked... :shakehead. Try using proxytube to unblock it, and it failed...

AyUmIXx 15th August 2012 12:45 PM

I love Spice Girls!
i've been watching their live performance at Olympics 2012 but it's too short T__T
i wish they could some like 5 songs in a medley~~

bondingo 6th September 2012 02:47 PM

I'm really just hoping they come back and do another album at some point. That would be the greatest thing they could do in my opinion. Another reunion tour would be amazing too, but only if they ****ING FILM IT THIS TIME.

Well they did do that BEST album with two new songs and they both were atrocious.

I'm well aware :P I ended up buying the 3CD+DVD+friendship bracelet edition of it. And I don't think they were atrocious...just not up to par with the rest of their songs, which is understandable because they were just tacked on for the sake of adding SOMETHING; the main focus was the tour. Mel C even said that she thought Headlines wasn't good at all.

No, what I mean is a completely new album with new singles and videos from it. There isn't another group or artist I'd rather have new material from.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 7th September 2012 05:57 AM

They need to comeback before they hit their 50s, they totally SHOULD.

I'll wait until that day comes :thud They were my absolute favorites :cry

SO MUCH THIS. I'm still mad that not only did I not get to go, but I'll never be able to see it because they didn't make a DVD. Worst decision they ever made. So much money lost.

Same here! I missed the concert because I was going to school in Hawaii, and it was honestly one of the most disappointing things to happen in my entire life. I'm that upset about it, even now. They always were and always will be my favorite group of all-time (even if I have a different one as my "current" number one), so it was extremely upsetting. I did get to see them back in 1998, but I was about 9 and I had an awful seat.
