I love the WAF PV! namie IS fantastic and soooo gorgeous!

The original WaF is actually kinda boring, in my opinion. It's not a bad song at all, but I think Namie's version is catchier and more fun. My favorite decade from the 60s, 70s, and 80s is the 80s because it's just more interesting to me than the other two decades are. Even though I wasn't even alive in the 80s, it seems like such a fun, cool decade. :P In my opinion, WAF is the best song out of the three.

Has anyone actually used any Vidal Sassoon shampoo yet? :P

I think the choreography for this single is much simpler because its main purpose is only to highlight the hair... for the Vidal shampoo/conditioner.

I think she has a good chance with this single to do better than usual, I know it will probably not be the best selling single this year, but it's still a three A side from a major female artist in avex format. Usually that hits rather big.

Well, Koda had a "4A" that was a 2A+2B or something.. and that didn't do too well.

My guess is that it'll just reach maybe over 150k..

Because Namie's Baby Don't Cry became such a hit, and sold very well without much promotion, I mean for 140k+ it wasn't that bad for as much promotion as it had, I think she has an even better chance with this single to at least sell 300k, it not that then between 200k-300k.

^I think so too....altough Baby Don´t Cry just hit a nerve in japan....but it had pertty bad covers (not that they are ugly they are just strange and a bit boring) and this single has much more promo than any other single or album at the time.....

Yeah. This single will probably sell quite well compared to her past few singles. It's the first time Namie does a 3A and I'm sure a lot of people do enjoy the songs so far. Not to mention the massive marketing! I have doubts about her getting the #1 spot though. A Johnny group is releasing on the same day.

Considering Namie's last single to sell over 100k was "Baby don't cry" if she could get 150-200k that would be a great success for her. =]

i do have to say... i like what namie has done with what a feeling, but i feel like in the pv, shes back to her "i dont give a damn" look which was a change from the actual emotion that i saw in her previous pvs... i do miss seeing emotion in her face even though she looked fabulous and hot in the pv

Cover is like when you "copy" a song (Namie's examples: Ningyo / Wishing on the same star and other songs from STYLE)

Sample is when u "copy" just a part of the song...in this case Namie copies a part of that 3 famous songs (like WHAT A FEELING..but you can tell it's still different from the original version....in ROCK STEADY the part ROCK STEADY BABY! it's the part she samples from the original and in NEW LOOK it's Baby Love...)

A recent example of Sample is also MILIYAH KATO's 19 MEMORIES, which is a sample of Namie's SWEET 19 BLUES...the piano part in the star is same and the part SWEET SWEET 19 BLUES also

I don't think Namie would do a '90s song. The '90s seem too recent. The whole thing that makes this project so cool is that it takes old sounds and makes them new again.

Let's not forget about Kanjani8. Those Johnny's groups always pull in awesome sales. That aside, I still really want this upcoming single to be a #1 for Namie. Hopefully, the songs will catch the many different people from all fo the different generations and these people will pick up a copy. I can only hope.

She will probably not get number one. In ayu's last stellar year (2005) even she had problems beating them. I don't think Namie will get number one in physical sales, but that doesen't mean that people aren't paying mre attention to her.

One of the main points of this release is the fashion style and just like ayu didn't get number one for GUILTY, it did not affect her overall popularity and her as a style icon. Another NAmie Wave now will not mean she getting her sales back, but rather increased popularity which means higher public presence and more steady high sales.

Guys, Namie's not going to get the #1 weekly. :P

Don't worry Lee, the single will surely surpass the 100k ^^ If not the campaign will be a failure and all the money they used will be wasted...but I am sure it's not the case because this campaign is very original and unique. The problem is whenever Namie gets her first #1 spot with a single after 10 years than the last #1 single she had. Even if she gets #2 she can still sell well..there are many examples of singles who debuted on #2 or #3 but they became million sellers...surely this won't be a million seller case, but it explains what I wanted to say =)
