When is that concert? Please, please tell us everything about it! If she's singing live and how her voice sounds etc. I only ever watched recorded versions of her performances, and she always sounds so perfect, I have a few doubts it is actually live. It would be amazing to hear first hand how good she really is:).

Yes, I just read on Kous twitter about the concert! I really cannot wait for your report. I hope you'll write one? I know it's probably a lot to ask, she is not that popular and not a lot of people are interested, but it would mean so much to me. Because it's so rare that an english speaking person goes to a concert from a not-so-famous artist. Anyway, enjoy yourself and scream your heart out for Kou. She is amazing, beautiful and inspiring and deserves loud screams! :D

Will update tomorrow! Live was so much fun she lip-synched some songs but the ones she didn't were actually IMPECCABLE! I waited after the show with 20 other fans and she waved from her car as she left!!

yeah they hand them out at all the concerts here in Japan its just plastic bags with advertisements and sometimes little collectibles like postcards. Loved that they included the setist!

Has it really been one year since someone posted in this thread? I don't understand it, because Kou is quite active and also released another original album a while ago. Just soon she will be leading lady in another Kimutaku drama Ando Lloyd! I'm really looking forward to this.

Love Searchlight is not bad but I think that sometime the sound is too clogged up. The pv is fun with the light effects.

Chikai is good pop song b-side though she has better song.

Since you are new to her, I'd recommend her first album and Love Paranoia. IMO her second and third albums are a little redundant. CIRCLE CYCLE is my favorite album from her, but it is quite different from everything else. I haven't really sat down long enough to appreciate Lyrical Wonder, but I will in time haha.

Haha :laugh I accidentely got into this thread and because I found the hairstyle very cool I took a closer look at the covers and decided to check her out. lol

Wow this hairestyle is a big change. I didn't recognize her at first (in the promo pic). actually it suit her very well. It gives me a manga's character style vibe.
The song isn't bad. I'm waiting to hear the whole song and to see the full pv.

it looks like a wig (and I hope it is...) her hairstyle isn't that bad but not my cup of tea. She looks better with her usual long dark hair.
I like the song, you can actually hear the Ringo touch, it's a nice change and it suits Ko pretty well.

On that note, I feel like I should try something of Kou's besides her cover albums, any recommendations? :)

Well, I FINALLY took the time to listen to CIRCLE CYCLE (almost three months after downloading it, lol).

It's really good! I'm happy to hear that Kou can also do upbeat tracks, although her bittersweet midtempo songs are still my favourites (Soshite Boku wa Tohou ni Kureru has been my obsession this whole season, and now I feel like wish will be getting similar attention in the future). Anyway, the album is really enjoyable all the way through, I don't think I disliked any of the tracks! Favourite songs: wish, Parallel World Reading, EUPHORIA, Philosophia.

So thank you for the recommendation, Yoake. :heart I think I'll try her other original albums next!

actuality is one of my favorite songs to listen to around Christmas time. I would love another x'mas single from Kou!

CIRCLE CYCLE is her best album to date and a true masterpiece. I love absolutely every song, but EUPHORIA, Wish, and Mukei Spirit are my favorites. ♥

Same! actuality is probably my favorite j-pop Christmas tune. It just has such a nice, cozy feeling to it.

Oh, I think I need to hear actuality asap! I downloaded a bunch of Kou's music last week, including the Single Best album which seems to include actuality, but haven't had the time to really try anything new yet. I've still been playing CIRCLE CYCLE incessantly, especially wish and EUPHORIA (which really is so good :luv2).

Glad to count a new Kou's fan among us. :D
