i JUST heard the new album. So happy After Love made it. Such an amazing song. Journey is an awesome awesome song too! Im so glad theres another song like that [Hands Up]. Glad to see FLASH too !

I think Hands up is my favorite album track.

I'm really heartbroken that her album charted at 29 when it debuted. I think her new album is definitely better than her previous one.

I am honestly quite impressed with this album. It definitely sounded better than what I thought it would be. I just don't like Thank You For Talkin' To Me Africa because it just ruins the flow of the album but other than that it's a solid album from CK :)

I was impressed with her latest single effort, so I will try her new album. However, the title of the album and the single seem so different haha (style-wise).

I mean, was it really promoted? Poor Kuri...that sucks. That's ridiculous. All these artists I like are bombing... Kuri, Thelma, Yuna...

Seeing as how it wasn't really promoted, you shouldn't be surprised.

Honey, Yuna and Thelma have been bombing long before this year. Thelma flopped after her ~LOVE!~ era ended, Yuna flopped after the HEART era ended.

That's utterly disappointing for a kuri album. Low single sales are okay, but I've never seen an album of hers fail like that.

This album wasn't very strong though - she's had far better albums in the past.

I'm enjoying her new album. Yeah, it's not one of her best ones, but there are some nice new songs on it. I'm starting to love Time of Love, Goodbye, Love or Game, Hands Up, and I'll Be There, plus Journey has grown on me a lot. And I'm warming up to After Love again even though it's such an old single. I think I may like this CD in fact more than Color Change.

I am so happy for Crystal. I adore her to pieces. I'm glad she's transferring to another label. Sony did not promote her enough all the years she was associated with them.

I am so glad she's transitioning to Universal. Hopefully this time around she'll get more control over her career, because I remember reading an interview of hers stating how little she has to say about music, or even album covers. She even said she would record some songs and the final product wasn't hers to decide, that's sad.
So go go Universal, make her a bigger hit because she truly deserves it, Spin the Music was just completely out of place, huge mess going on there, if you look back at ALL YOURS and COLOR CHANGE which I can listen from back to back, this one fails miserably.
Oh, and by the way, Sony really is smart now in releasing a Best of Love Songs, which has two of the most beloved things for japanese public, first it's a Best of and then of Love so I can see this one getting some attention and selling good.

P.S. - I'm feeling some huge Crystal Kay nostalgia. :'( It's crazy how time flies. She was actually the very first Jpop artist I followed. Months before I found Ayu, haha. I've been watching her music videos lately and remembered how many times I watched the horrible, horrible low quality preview of Can't be Stopped video on her official site all the way back in 2003. (I modeled the colors used in my bedroom back home in the same shades of green and red as in the music video...no lie. Green walls and red accents. I felt so cool, haha.

I really can't wait for her to start this new chapter in her life. She was much more appreciated around 2002-2003, but her management and budget were so dramatically cut as the years went by... And eventually the music she was producing wasn't something I enjoyed as much as when I first heard her.

Superman is seriously bringing me back. :)

I would love her to release something a la Eternal Memories again. It's one of the best Jpop ballads ever, imo. Can't believe she was so young when it was recorded.

the thing i don't understand is why they used the green screen-colored curtain and then just made it darker in the editing... it's noticeable and it just would have made more sense to use a darker curtain from the beginning xD was there a reason for it that I'm not getting? haha there must have been a oncept for it, i just don't get it... like the random dogs at one point???

The single's now available on iTunes in a bunch of countries now, including the US ;) Incase anyone wants to buy it! haha. It's $4.99 for the full single but all the tracks are available to download individually.

She was promoting the hell out of the single herself on Twitter. Did they not do any promotions for the single?

She performed it live all over the place, and appeared on radio shows, and various TV shows.

Honestly though, the only TV shows that truly matter are CDTV and Music Station, both of which she did not appear on...

I mean digitally it has done well, and radio airplay/requests have been good, but the physical sales are apparently lacking...

It is in the top 10 on iTunes Japan though.
