Saw some vids of theirs on Youtube and they're right up my alley. Mind sharing their discography if you have it? =o

we need new moi dix mois :grumpy

ownsarai 14th September 2009 10:53 PM

I don't think I've ever posted here. What a shame, because J-Rock is my first love! I was introduced to Japanese music in 2000, and I've never stopped listening since~ :heart The first band I was introduced to was Dir en grey. I think that's just about everybody's first! :P Then I got into more bands, like PIERROT, X JAPAN, hide with Spread Beaver, LUNA SEA, L'Arc~en~Ciel, girugamesh, Kagrra,, Merry, Gackt, Janne Da Arc, GazettE, Nightmare, Kagerou, Gackt (though I really don't care too much for Malice Mizer, I only like...3 songs!), alice nine., miyavi, DuelJewel, Sugizo and THE SPANK YOUR JUICE, Zi:Kill, Angelo, Psycho le Cemu, D'espairs Ray, Phantasmagoria, baroque, KRA, Camino. A lot of these bands are older and some are disbanded now, but their awesome music still lives on. :D I feel like I'm missing some. xD But feel free to check any of them out, if you don't know any of them. I highly recommend all of these bands~
*I knew I was missing some! BUCK-TICK!!! How can I forget the super sexy Atsushi? xD Guniw Tools, MUCC, cali≠gari and ZILCH (a project with hide, was supposed to be his English debut).

aqua_crystal 15th September 2009 03:29 PM

^I love all these bands!!!! But barely anyone I know like miyavi! He's amazing though! :D

ownsarai 15th September 2009 07:39 PM

I LOVE miyavi! His baby was born!!!! They had a girl and named her Lovelie Miyavi Ishihara. :) She's sooooo cute! I got to see miyavi live a few years ago in LA, it was awesome! ^^

Maemi 15th September 2009 08:36 PM

^ OMG really?! Can't believe it :D I wish them luck ^^

Aristocrat_Drug 16th September 2009 01:38 AM

Hello everyone. This is my first time posting and here because this is a forum dedicated the Ayu I kind of figured there'd be a..non-existanr community for jrock. Lulz, I was wrong. Anywho, I started off as Malice Mizer (which will be my one and only j-rock love forever) I obsess over the ex member projects such as Moi Dix Mois ( Mana) Kozi's porjects (Eve of destiny..which is no more :( ) and Klaha's solo stuff which is uber poppy.

To be bluntly honest I kind of only care about Visual Kei bands and most of the older ones I tend to like A LOT some of my favorites are Versailles Philharmic Quintet, Lareine, Malice Mizer, Moi Dix Mois, Psycho le cemu. Visual Kei is a dying breed...and the recent updated thing I really enjoyed were Versailles music <3 (That and I have the biggest obsession with Kamijo)

Despairs Ray , Merri, MUCC, Gazette, Buck Tick... are a few :)

O.M.G!!!! U saw miyavi live????!!!! Wooowww.... that's so cool!!!

They are, but since the death of Jasmine I think things got post ponned so I don't know the dates anymore.

Yumsushi 26th September 2009 05:18 PM

Dir en Grey are doing another US only tour this year....bastards.
http://www.jame-world.com/us/databas...r-en-grey.html

But they will rerecord ZAN for the new single!!! That song is perfect already, I am excited to see what they will do with a rerecording.

True true but what can we expect but a NY/LA times infinity tour? They wont forget us and will be back eventually, I'm sure. Its MUCC that needs a whipping!

Kagome-chan 2nd October 2009 04:47 PM

I'm waiting for the new single too!!

I'm also anxious to listen to BEFORE I DECAY of the GazettE.

This Sunday I'm going to Miyavi's concert in Milan! Yay >w<

YAY BOOM BOOMS :luv2

Spiral 6th October 2009 12:08 PM

jbrat2219 6th October 2009 06:24 PM

^ Yeah! I can't wait for the upcoming one >_<; Luckily, they get better as they progress <3

Spiral 6th October 2009 07:16 PM

There's a new one in the works?! Whoa. I had no idea. Ah, but it makes sense since Back on my Feet will most than likely be on it. lols.

jbrat2219 6th October 2009 07:46 PM

There better be one in the works!!!! I always like to support my favorite artists at least once and these guys made the cut xD;

JackieRos 6th October 2009 08:59 PM

have you guys heard of Ancia? and are they good?
i saw them in bento beat box and i want to listen to them

jbrat2219 6th October 2009 09:36 PM

^ Nope, never heard of them :O

ownsarai 6th October 2009 09:47 PM

Man, I'm sad that Dir en grey isn't doing another Phoenix/Tempe show this year. :( I can't afford to go to LA to see them again. >.< I bet all my friends in Dallas will be going to see them, though. I WANT TO GO!!!!!!

Maemi 27th December 2009 02:30 PM

Kagome-chan 27th December 2009 02:35 PM

Oh..I was lucky!
I saw Miyavi in Milan! Totally awesome, better than Dir en grey!

Due to organizational problems and Italians promoter, Versailles are unable to come in Italy.
The italian fan steet on myspace organized a bus with Gekido (the company who organized the European tour of Versailles) to go to Montpellier in France, with a discount of 35%.
So I'm going to see them in Montpellier.

But...I want to see the GazettE çOç
They are the most important for me çOOOç
But currently I can't afford to go to Japan >_>

primavera♥ 22nd February 2010 10:07 PM

^lucky. . .but acutally yes i love the gazette tons
it would be abosolute heaven to see them live
and also mucc and nightmare and ayabie (well not so much their new stuff really)

Aderianu 23rd February 2010 04:24 PM

many famous artists came to europe last year
Hope they will do it again %) I want to see Girugamesh and abingdon boys school

jbrat2219 23rd February 2010 08:34 PM

I'm not going to lie, I always kind of ignored Versailles. I'm kind of over that extreme vkei look. Now I just focus more on the music.

primavera♥ 23rd February 2010 09:37 PM

^ thats the thing. i just love the music
thats what surprised me myself

as darker things scare me lol. like i watched a few dir en grey vids and had nightmares on two different occasions from them. ..im psychologically not good with that

This would be awesome if it came to fruition; a MUCC, Dir en Grey or BUCK-TICK downloadable pack.
Go http://jrockrevolution.com/index.php...rock-band.html and vote for your fave Jrockband. Probably no point in voting for Dir en grey, since their fans certainly know how to represent, lol.

Yumsushi 17th June 2010 01:25 AM

*Bump*
Attn North Americans; D'espairsRay is coming
http://www.myspace.com/despairsray

Got my ticket for the Toronto show. I really enjoyed them at JRR, even though I was trying to save my energy for MUCC.

Nackar_91 17th June 2010 11:00 AM

I hope Bump of Chicken will be releasing a new album soon ... it's been three years since Orbital Period and since they've been releasing 3 singles in relatively quick succession ... let's hope they do!

Yumsushi 14th July 2010 10:13 PM

The day we've been waiting for is here...Dir en Grey returns to NA!
http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?f...ogId=537097445
The presale is this Friday but there's nothing for the Toronto date yet. I NEED TO GET TICKETS!

Maemi 14th July 2010 11:40 PM

^ Lucky you !!!! :cry

paper_doll 15th July 2010 04:28 AM

Boo, nothing in Michigan :( They don't get super turnouts there, so it's not all that suprising.

EDIT: Omgosh, Daisuke passed away? http://www.the-studs.com/english/main.html

I really appreciate that Dir en Grey returned to Canada for the one date. I think they always get a great reception here. ANd theres some meet and greet thing I think (hope).

Terrible about Daisuke. I never listened to Kagerou, but to die of a heart attack in your 30s is pretty tragic. T_T

I think MONSTER is much better than REDEEMER... so I decided to visit their concert in September ^___^

I know, I was afraid that theyd cancel their ONLY Canadian date but I have my tickets and will see if I can get the new album at the show. Pretty psyched for them and Dir en Grey a week apart. I dont know if I'll be able to function afterwards.

late reply here, but this is really terrible. :( I wish I would have known sooner. I didn't really keep up with Kagerou/The Studs.
Daisuke was my favorite. He will definitely be missed.
On another note, I just found out that Kagrra, is disbanding!

paper_doll 11th November 2010 05:06 AM

Is Kagrra really disbanding?!

Not that they've done anything good in like... years, but still D:

ownsarai 11th November 2010 08:04 AM

^yea apparently they would rather call it a "demise" instead of disbanding. >.>
Their last show will be in March.
Glad I got to see them live before this happened.

Kagome-chan 11th November 2010 02:01 PM

It's really sad.
2010 is a very unlucky year.
A lot of band disbanded or on hiatus.

Yumsushi 28th January 2011 08:22 PM

Am I the only one who thinks half Dir en Grey was missing or sleeping when they rerecorded Obscure? How in the world did they approve the release of such a pathetic rerecording of an epic song?
Sorry but even the amazing live Reiketsu Nariseba can't tempt me to buy this single.
