for once , you don't get to hear someone's beatboxing away in the background & KT dress ghetto in a way too :laugh

I guess the only similarities between both bands is if you were to compare ARASHI's older works like Jidai , PIKANCHI since ARASHI's inital music roots lie in hip hop & rock

but comparing both bands now , HELL NO (pun intended)

Also , KT's leaderless unlike ARASHI

Arashi is more pop-infused nowadays. only their earlier works resemble KAT-TUN a bit. they're definitely have an edge to their work. of course they still have idol-pop in their discography, but rock is their main genre. they also have dance-infused songs too. and their image is far more "darker" than Arashi too. the rapper looks like a rapper. :P

you should probably YouTube "Keep the faith", "LIPS", and/or "DON'T U EVER STOP" to get a feel. :)

i didn't like "LIPS" from a preview of IchiPon promo. so...i was bracing myself for a really bad song. LOL. but that pretty much changed when the PV preview came out. i never really spaz out IRL, but that was one of those days. :laugh

i don't think "LIPS" is one of their best songs vocally, but i really love their lives of the song. so much energy! i especially love the perf on QOP Tour. & the single is one of their best "LOVE" and "MESSAGE FOR YOU" are spectacular.

but my favorite A-side is "Keep the faith" too. Himuro Kyosuke did an amazing job with the lyrics & song. i think more J-rock legends need to work for KAT-TUN.

the unit will be with Mr.Children's producer/support member Kobayashi Takeshi. if this album is reminescent of 90's j-rock like the movie is sporting up to be, it will be A-MA-ZING. i love 90s j-music. lots of amazing stuff came out during the decade. :heart

^ yep, it's an album from what it looks like (from the arama link Mr.Goto posted). and the song Jin sang at TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION was "BANDAGE". & the trailer was shown there also. one of the morning shows had clips, so we should be getting DLs of them quite soon.

Autumn/秋/Fall is basically now to mid-December, btw. so i'm thinking November/early December release since the movie comes out in January. :)

i have a good vibe from this release also. idk if the music will be similar to Mr.Children in any way, but it's great that Jin has the oppurtunity to work with Kobayashi Takeshi.

maybe the album will be released under the character that he played in BANDAGE ?

I don't know , I have a feeling that might happen since for ARASHI's Ohno when Kumori Nochi Kaisei was released , it was released under Yano Kenta starring Ohno Satoshi but we'll see

hmm it makes me wonder on whether will the album get an OS press or not in due time & if so , will it be released under J-One Records ?

it's not set in stone whether it is an album or single yet (translations don't say single or album), so we'll have to wait for details. and since it's a collaboration between Jin & Kobayashi-san, it's uncertain whether or not J-One/JE will distribute the release.

yeah I'm sure in due time , more updates will given for this but it's exciting for sure :D

you hear a little bit of the song on the Zoomin clip. it's not that long, but i think the song definitely has a Mr.Children/Remioromen feel to it, which is more laid back than your typical KAT-TUN gritty rock. it really makes it look like Jin's actually debuting solo. LOL.

it's quite thick for a photobook (well, okay, granted i only have like 2 other photobooks, LOL). it's thicker than "1st in NEW YORK" and the paper quality/texture changes for each section. it's so nice! for the price it's totally worth it (￥2000/$22USD vs ￥1905/$20USD for "1st in NEW YORK").

DREAM BOYS is a Johnny's Ent. musical. Kame's been the lead for a while. ah, the other 2 are in different JE groups (Subaru in KANJANI8, Tegoshi in NEWS). :)

Jin....i have a complex "relationship" with Jin. Jin's probably the only Johnny where if i hate him during a period of time, i really hate him, but the other times, i love him. LOL.

he is the most...real? in KAT-TUN/JE in general. like you know idols always give this sort of I'M-SO-CUTE-&-HAPPY-GENKI kind of vibe, but with Jin it's not like that. it's known he's not very idol-like & hasn't been so for a while now. & idk, i think there's something attractive about that. just the fact that there's someone like that in such a manufactured setting is quite...eye-catching. :tired

but i'm forever a Kamenashi girl. he's less drama. :laugh

Subaru (who's unfortunately not on par with Kame in the looks department but he has the best voice in Kanjani8 imo) , this's his 2nd time in the musical while for NEWS's Tegoshi , it's his 1st time

I'm still thinking if I want to watch Gokusen the movie when it opens here on 3rd Dec or not @_@ . I never watch the 1st 3 seasons of the drama so that's NOT helping matters

well, i think all you need to know about Gokusen is that Yankumi (Nakama Yukie) inspires all these bad boys to become better people. Yankumi has Yakuza ties, but wants to help others by becoming a teacher.

i guess all you'll really mess out on are the past of the students and their stories since they are all grown up in the movie. that's why the cast is pretty much star-studded.

I'd say you don't have to watch all of them. Especially if you'd be watching it in a short period of time. Then it feels even more like watching the same thing over and over again. You could just watch the 1st seasons, because well, it's the first season. ^^; Or the 2nd for Kame one of the other two.

Kame has been acting in DREAMBOYS 5 years since it started so he's not exactly a newbie noob in here

I suspect when he acted in One Pound Gospel last year , it was like a natural thing for him to do so , except his character has to deal with a hot nun Sister Angela :laugh
