^That not a bad thing to say. It is true. And I think its like that for the most of us. To write deep and meaningful lyrics you simply do it at your best when you feel those kind of feelings. But with that said, I'm happy for Ayu, feeling happy.

What I want, is a super sad, dark ballad. And I don't mind if the other songs on the single (though I doubt that will be the case with the ~for TA~ track) will have that same taste :yes
As to why people always seems to think artists make better music, when they're depressed or lonely...maybe that has something to do with us, what we want to "find" in the music that we listen to. I think we want to hear music that reflects upon our own personal problems, what we can identify. If it is happier music, we pay less attention to the lyrics, and don't give it the same greatness in value, because it then means less to us if it is not about our own problems. Just a thought. |
Well, sorrowful music makes a stronger impression on me usually as well, thats why GUILTY to me is her best album. I hope for something like Together When..., maybe a little bit of Pride, walking proud, Over, forgiveness or POWDER SNOW...

I think BALLAD should be a very soft ballade, with nothing too dramatic and powerful vocals. You were..., on the other hand, I think should have a little more detail and be slightly more upbeat, kinda like Days or HEAVEN.

Lol, I don't mean it's fast or anything. Just that, that and Days are slightly more uptempo and have more emphasized parts (during the choruses, at least), compared to ballades like Curtain Call and....well, that's all I can think of for Ayumi, hah. I don't know how to explain it good, sorry. I guess, just something that can bring about really happy emotions if the lyrics were different. For example, to me, HEAVEN really sounds like it could be changed into a sweet love song, and it's already bittersweet. HANABI ~episode II~, on the other hand, seems like there's no way to take the sorrow out of it.

if she already flimed a PV, then at least a song has to be done. Because they can't film without the song for her to sing/mouth a long too. So I'd assume that sometime this week, whatever song is done will leak. Maybe the PV will get an airdate soon, but doubtful

When are PV airing announcements usually made? I want to say the her recent announcements of any PV airings have been made right before they air... at least, that's when they popped up on AHS, anyway. Hah. |
She records some songs fast, others slow. NEXT LEVEL was recorded over a couple of weeks, but her other albums have probably taken longer. Remember, she already has the compositions. Its a matter of her lyrics being applied to the music, and then arranged. So it can take a long time, or no time at all. Depends how fast ayu writes her lyrics and records/arranges.
She's probably done the recordings by now if she's making PVs... And I'm hoping for an electro-tinged ballad, to kinda carry on with the sound of NEXT LEVEL and Sunrise. I don't want another Days or typical winter ballad. She's done it. Curtain call was great because it was different for her to make a 3:30-length ballad that kinda builds up, explodes and then ends. I want something like that again. |
She probably had to do RED LINE recently. The other two were in the process of being recorded when she decided on adding that song to the single.
PV announcements generally come a day or two before the PV is to air. It's kind of random how/when they come about, so it's kind of hard to predict. |
