I was flicking through a book called "Japanese pop-culture", and when it came to the Electronics section, there was a photo of an electronics store selling Panasonic cameras, and they had up a promo pic from the FX37. I took a picture with my camera but it didn't really come up very well. It was just a small shot of this pic:

I wish I had took a photo but I flew with Air Asia 2 years ago and they used a photo from the calendar shot in Miami in their company magazine (the photo of Ayu standing in the street at night in a shirt and skirt with a handbang) but photoshopped the Petronas Tower in the background. It looked really bad.

There's a major 'composer' in the show as the lead male, and apparently he's noted for having rejected a request to compose a song for Ayu aka "Bin Qi Bu" in 2010.

It was just part of the drama, it didn't actually happen in real life.

They were name dropping Ayu because she's famous. The composer in the show (who is not real because the drama is fiction) was notorious for being difficult and hard to work with.

I was watching a video of a Taiwanese band called Sodagreen, it was about the member Jia Kai who decided to cut his hair off, but the other members persuade him to make some hairstyle first before he got his hair cut. They requested him to take off his shirt, and it made him looked like Ayu in LOVEppears cover.

This is so amazing. I live in Brooklyn and the "Pretty Girl" stores usually sell very cheap goods to people who don't have a lot of money, usually minorities and immigrants.

I am surprised Ayu managed to surface in the western world through that kind of store, of all places! And I think it's delightfully ironic that her image is so carefully crafted and so glamorous, and then she ends up in one of the cheapest stores in America.

This is weird, I saw his photo is Leslie Kee's collage so I googled it and found his Generasia profile and there it says he was in Ayu's Concert Tour 2000 commercial... He was 12 years old back then so what was he doing there? maybe he was a kid from the ever free short video or some kid dancer? anyone?

Found Ayu in an episode of Terrace House (episode 29) although I expected it before ('cause they filmed Shibuya 109 in March 2016 and I knew if they are there at that time Ayu's poster would be there) I freaked out so hard haha.
