But Ayu said that she was going a step back the line where NEXT LEVEL was, not like goint to a worse level, but a previous one... so... maybe the electro stuff that appeared in NEXT LEVEL will be gone in this one... I'm expectimg more rock/rnb/mid tempo stuff for this album...

She'll probably revisit something really.. clubby with Lady Dynamite. I mean what else could it be?!

Knowing her, some empowering rock song?

Perhaps, but the nightclub atmosphere is just BEGGING to be a dancepop song. I mean why would she sing a rock song in a disco ball outfit?!

Picaflor 7/4 17th March 2010 05:01 AM

are we still on the song title thing? What kind of title is "Are You Wake Up?" Anyways?!?!one!!///?!1/1??? [/3 cents]

I have a feeling that red line will have alot of guitars in it to fit the rock and roll theme. I hope that she doesn't use entrance of the gladiators, that song is so over used when it comes to circuses and it has nothing to do with circuses either! or if she does use it, at least put it in a very creative way.

I would like more electropop from her...but certainly not in the style of any other artists.

If she did stuff like what perfume does or something, I think I'd just leave.

*cough* old school ayu electropop was genius :innocent

Aisha_Angel 17th March 2010 05:14 AM

Omg...the tracklisting sounds VERY PROMISING! I hope Lady Dynamite has a 60s-70s feel to it.

Tony G 17th March 2010 05:20 AM

Her electropop is more electro-rock, as pretty much all of the dance-y songs in NEXT LEVEL had guitars in them. Sparkle has a guitar riff in the verses that is so perfect <3 I'm pretty sure love 'n' hate, rollin', identity had guitars as well. I really want her to keep that style in at least a couple of songs on the album. That club-video has to be one! And it sounds like its for 'Lady Dynamite'

It fits in with the title of rock n roll circus. nothing about "rock" implies the songs will be straight out pop/rock. They can be light, heavy, mixed with other genres. She's always done it this way and I think that's how the album will be.

Plus she carried on the sound with Sunrise, which sounds like bubblegum electropop. So I don't think the album will be devoid of dance beats and synths.

I don't know what to call my name's WOMEN. I think it's more... LOVE'n'HATE-y with the sexual skankpop thing going on, haha.

And murasaki, I nearly had a heart attack!

kendelle 17th March 2010 05:28 AM

Lady Dynamite is an awesome track name, unfortunately lots of the titles sound interlude-ish. :( montage, count down, THE introduction and meaning of LOVE...but I laughed when I saw "THE introduction", I wonder if it will be an updated rock version of the introduction track from LOVEppears? xD

Tony G 17th March 2010 05:29 AM

I'm starting to think it will be like next level - 3 interludes (no lyrics) and one short song with some lyrics. The last one technically isn't an interlude, but not a full song on ayu's standards. Might be like Mirror though which is more of a short song. But bridge to the sky, not yet, catcher in the light sound more like interludes.

meaning of LOVE is probably the one with lyrics.
THE introduction, count down and montage are the 'ludes without lyrics.
just a guess.

truehappiness 17th March 2010 05:31 AM

I would really feel bad for whoever got that lyrics sheet then since it'd have like 4 sentences....

murasakinohana 17th March 2010 05:31 AM

OMG!! I just realized there's 'Jump!' in there! I was lying on bed last night and was wondering to myself, what if one of the new song titles was Jump... :shakehead

Polyrhythm 17th March 2010 05:31 AM

Whoa. For the record people, I didn't say I wasn't going to buy the album just because I don't like some of the track names. I said that's what finalizes it for me. The track names, in addition to the title of the album and the covers...and the price just already make me not feel like buying it. I'm sure there are great songs on it. I've heard the preview and I like them >_<. It's just overall I don't feel like I want to buy it. That's all....I'm sure it will be another nicely produced, cohesive album from Ayu....and I'm sure it will go on to sell an insane number of copies. It's just not for me. I don't hate Ayu ><. I've spent 70% of my high school savings on her releases. I just had an opinion and I don't think I should be expected to buy the album for any reason. And if you love how the album is going and will buy it, that's great. More power to Ayu.

Aozora 17th March 2010 05:32 AM

I agree with everyone who spoke about Ayu's diversity xD. My favorite albums are those that offer a little something for everyone's tastes. I honestly think the album will definitely have this. We already know it has ballads (Sunset, BALLAD, You were..., Don't look back). We know it has rock (Microphone). And titles like Sexy little things and Lady Dynamite make me think of my name's WOMEN-like songs <3. Or like someone else suggested, electropop. I'm definitely up for a new Sparkle if that's the direction they're in :D.

Basically, I think this album will have a little something for everyone :).

Ahh I thought each of the 12 special CDs had all 12 lyric sheets. So its just one sheet for one song per CD?

so if the ratio is:
5 single songs
4 interludes (one with lyrics)
6 new songs

its basically like NEXT LEVEL with an extra single song, but re-recorded.

aura~ 17th March 2010 05:33 AM

^exactly, one song per algum, total, 12 albums with sheets... = 12 songs with lyrics... that's why I think there will be 12 full songs... I don't see someone having a short sheet with 6-8 lines for THE introduction LOL

well yeah... I'm sure we won't get anything thinking of how the songs are gonna be just from the titles...

Akutenshi 17th March 2010 05:34 AM

I'm honestly a bit tired of all the interludes she's been doing. I know it's a few albums in already, but I just can't get used to it. Hopefully she just makes A INTERLUDE next, and then puts this habit to rest. </3

Tony G 17th March 2010 05:35 AM

I like her interludes, they do a good job of breaking up the album. I'd prefer to have them there than just 11 tracks with nothing in-between. And if the last album is anything to go by, her 'ludes are getting better and better. Especially the CMJK ones. disco-muncation for best song on NEXT LEVEL anyone?!

I agree with this xD. But only because I'd rather have her sing more. I LOVE her interludes though so I guess I can't complain. I'd just rather have... more lyric songs too. I'm greedy xD.

Akutenshi 17th March 2010 05:36 AM

I guess I just get sad that these interludes could have made fierce full-length songs. Like, sure Ayu, have 4 instrumental/interlude tracks, but have 14 full-length tracks as well. I'd certainly welcome an 18-track album. xD

maze 17th March 2010 05:51 AM

I'm more interested in hearing the songs that are getting PV :heart
and I hope the don't ruin RED LINE. xDD

Its entirely possible. Bridge to the sky, Mirror and Not Yet all had their lyrics printed in the album book. And since this is just a little bonus, nobody would be "robbed" by getting the interlude's lyrics.

Albums are getting shorter and shorter over time, doesn't surprise me hers are decreasing to 11-12 full tracks. Still, the albums are over 50 minutes long, which is above average. Usually pop albums are short, between 40-50 minutes long, sometimes shorter.

Actually, overall pop albums are getting longer on albums. Back in the day, 13 full tracks was generally considered by critics to be "Far too long", while now Britney Spears is releasing 19-track LPs and Kelly Clarkson is going for 17 tracks. It's just that Ayu's albums were long in a time when short was the standard, and now she's releasing short albums when long is the standard.

truehappiness 17th March 2010 06:11 AM

Bridge to the sky's lyrics were not printed in the booklet. The lyrics were basically from NEXT LEVEL anyway. [Fui ni namida, fui ni egao, etc...]

Ayu's longest album [I think] is MY STORY clocking in at around 76 minutes?

Agreed.

If people love her diversity in music, well, they better love the interludes too, they're the ones making a nice smooth transition most of the time, unlike pieces of SEVEN. :headache

I say Load of the SHUGYO is the best though :P

everlastingRAINBOW 17th March 2010 06:22 AM

I gotta say I love her interludes too. They make the album flow and make it an experience. He albums would be way too choppy and more mediocre without them!

truehappiness 17th March 2010 06:28 AM

With Ayu's interludes, I like to think of them as snacks between meals, haha.

Delicious aural snacks between aural meals....

-drools-

Zeke. 17th March 2010 06:36 AM

I loved NEXT LEVEL's interludes. Probably more memorable and enjoyable than most of the songs on the album to me (EnergizE and identity were the only album-only tracks I liked).

truehappiness 17th March 2010 06:38 AM

What, you didn't like rollin', kill yourself! Haha. (Glee reference for anyone who doesn't get it...)

I'd say that all the interludes she's had so far with the exception of some of her HAL produced ones have been on par with the full tracks on every album...

sanzo2011 17th March 2010 06:41 AM

her titles getiing wierd these days ~~! i guess we'll have 4 interludes again ! ~~!

Yumsushi 17th March 2010 06:43 AM

Track list looks promising, except for THE introduction, which sounds about as impersonal as Rock n Roll circus. LadyDynamite seems the coolest name of all so I hope the song measures up (I'm hoping for a sexy Decision episode II)
Anyhow, since she said that the countdown live was a segue to the album, I guess there wont be much electro since the show was pretty much rockier songs and ballads. I'm sure it'll be great anyhow, interludes are great too but just LESS of them.

The monotone parts in the verses really annoy me. The problem I have with most of NEXT LEVEL's tracks is that all the songs to me seem to be lacking something.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THE TRACKLIST!

interludes...I think
THE intro, count down, and montage...I think..montage falls right in with Kaleidoscope, LABYRINTH and reBiRTH...it has that...really rich imagery thing to the word..

3 interludes is really good...Jump! better be a concert staple now LOL..
including RED LINE (al. ver) and that new song in chaku uta..for me, this album has officially 8 tracks.. hahah..it just made me so muc happier

iwas expecting this next week, and I'm SOOO happy there are 15 tracks, and am delighted to see RED LINE having a new arrangement for the album !!

hopefully with the intro (lawl) there will only be 4 interludes, and it sort of looks like it.

Well, as long as it's those 4 to be interludes, we get... 6 new songs, one new arrangement, and 1 new other song? the one released seperately.

Yeah, but I don't feel that she'd think it's fair to only write a sentence or two for one lyric sheet while the others have full on lyrics...

Max_ZZZ 17th March 2010 07:44 AM

Also, with the amount she has been recording I seriously doubt there will be 4 interludes like usual. That extra time was probably her creating another kickass song that would normally be an interlude.

Bolded ones are interludes, imo.

Anyway, the titles are VERY interesting and they're making me so curious! From the looks of the things, it looks like Microphone is gonna be the only song closest to a rock song?

I love the titles Lady Dynamite and Last Links. <3

This is forming up to be another light-hearted and fun album like NEXT LEVEL. I swear some titles need some warming up to, like montage, Jump! and count down. They are retarded, to me but oh well... it's Ayu after all. I took a while to get used to rollin' and GREEN lol.

So this is definitely interesting... I can't wait to get previews!

Honestly, anyone who really hates these titles, what's your issue with them? They're very Ayu, and what else would you expect from her? I really wonder if anyone actually knows what they want or what Ayu would put out... just look at all the crappy fake tracklists that came out and were proven wrong! I wonder what you would come up with as Ayu titles and if they'll be laughably horrible after all since apparently these don't fit your vision of Ayu's album. What right do you have to be so disgusted by just titles? I swear, no other artists get bullcrap like this when they release tracklists... it's just like "Oh, cool, we have titles." until we actually get songs...

First of all I have to say a secret track would be nice, but I am not going to expect anything. Moving on, I actually agree with you and wonder why people dislike certain titles, photoshoots, etc. first off your not going to be listening to the title of the song to begin with nor do you have to look at a photoshoot you don't like. I'm sure other artists get people who dislike song/album titles, photoshoots, etc. but i don't think that they nit-pick at every little detail like many of the Ayu fans on this and perhaps other forums. Moving on... I think its quite humorus that there are some many Ayu-Extreamists on this forum.

There isn't any point in complaining over the way A pv has been directed, the end result of a photoshoot of any kind, nor the lyrics of a song or its arrangement, etc.. because guess what, the fact of the matter is that not you, myself, nor anyone else has any kind of control of the content released by Ayu, no matter how badly you hope and wish so. Avex is really the only other person(s)/Company who can tell ayu what to release, how to go about it, and when it is the product in question is going to be released, after all with out Avex trax Ayu most likely wouldn't be rich or famous like she is now. Another thing to keep in mind is that Ayu is an asset to Axev trax, If Ayu (and I am not saying that she would) started to do things that would upset them or cause their stocks to fall below a level they are comfortable with they would not hesitate to drop her. They have other artists that would still bring in revenue in both Japan and America, etc.Basically what i am tryi ng to say is stop complaining over the small trivial things that you have no control over because guess what 5 years from now you will still have no control over what happens with Ayu's career granted she is still an active artist with in Avex.

They prolly just decided that the arrangement was a bit too demo-ish for an album :yes

XD that could be true, but it would be really cool if the A WORLD IS ONE thing affected her lol.

So I guess the album version for RED LINE would sound more polished? I'm not sure to how I would take that lol... I find the raw sound of it in the You were.../BALLAD single really... yeah raw and heartfelt

The difference? Ayu writes her music. Those artists don't, or only contribute to a few tracks. Its pretty easy for a singer who doesn't write or compose their music to pick tracks and record them in the studio. These artists would get thousands of bidding songwriters fowarding their tracks to get them on a famous singers album. Plus Ayu releases albums a lot faster than American pop artists

There's no way long albums are the norm these days. In the 90s, albums were much longer.

Andrenekoi 17th March 2010 09:41 AM

^Yeah, Ayu is the only singer in the world that write her music!

Sure... <3

Omg no way. I like EnergizE, but we don't need another one. And I think everyone else would flip here on AHS (I don't think many like EnergizE...?).

I'm not much of a fun of that song, yeah.

I'd be happy if Lady Dynamite was some pop rock song. I find it odd that it seems like Microphone will be the only rock song on there. I have a feeling one or two others have potential for being rock songs but a lot of people have a feeling they'd be interludes rather.

Not~Yet 17th March 2010 10:49 AM

I could imagine Lady Dynamite being groovy classic rock or something like that, little like girlish but with a lot more... "oomph". :laugh At least the title sounds something like a load of older rock n roll bands would use :P

truehappiness 17th March 2010 10:50 AM

Keep in mind that Lady Dynamite has lots of color, a gay nightclub, and Ayu in a disco ball dress, haha.

Oh crap, that's right. Well not crap the PV, I think from the pictures it looks awesome, but I completely forgot.

Wow, she's got me really confused so far.

You know, I honestly thought in there there'd be at least something close to something like End of the World or Heartplace in it. Those were pretty hard rock songs for a 'pop artist' so I wished for something like that. Needless to say I'm curious as to how this is going to turn out.

Not~Yet 17th March 2010 10:57 AM

Oh right, I keep forgetting the club PV all the time for some reason. :laugh Well, electro-poprock maybe? Would be awesome :P

Aditmi Krisnasaki ~II~ 17th March 2010 11:00 AM

wow... maybe Ayu is trying to rip off some singers' songs.. :D IMO

these:
Microphone - Lady Gaga's Telephone
meaning of love - Namie's The Meaning of Us

no offense, it's just my opinion 'cause these song-titles sound so freakingly almost the same... :D

Abby 17th March 2010 11:04 AM

^ I have noticed that there's always this thing of a title being like "the same" to other previously seen. The world is running out of words I guess .__.

AngelSenshi 17th March 2010 11:07 AM

Do you think she knew she'd do this to us? Like, confuse the hell out of us. Maybe it's really a tactic to get us really really interested. ...Better yet, the titles may be just a disguise to trick us... Okay, even I know that's a foolish thing to say...

Cherry Dynamite 17th March 2010 11:10 AM

I'm excited for sexy little things and Lady Dynamite :D
but well THE introduction... I guess Ayu was preparing us when she released BALLAD.

I Am... Aaron 17th March 2010 11:20 AM

such weird title lady dynamite!!
Can't wait to have the album!!!

Mayayu 17th March 2010 11:32 AM

i like the tracklist! thanks for sharing
in my imagination, it's going to be a real masterpiece of rock n roll ♪

hoping for very few interludes too, they're usually nice but i never upload 10secs stuff to my ipod anyway

+ random but i did love EnergiZe a lot

dayumi 17th March 2010 11:37 AM

We know that everything reminds you of GaGa.

Telephone:

* Chinese whispers (aka telephone or telephone game), a game often played by children at parties or in the playground
* Téléphone, a French rock band formed in 1976
* "Telephone", a song by Diana Ross from her 1984 album Swept Away.
* "Telephone" (song), a song by Lady Gaga featuring Beyoncé from Gaga's album The Fame Monster.
* "Telefone (Long Distance Love Affair)", a song by Sheena Easton.
* Telefon, a 1977 spy film directed by Don Siegel.
* Telephone (application), a softphone for Mac OS X made by Alexei Kuznetsov
* The Telephone Album, by the band Lotion.

Obviously not related to Microphone in any way. Lady GaGa most likely copied Diana Ross:thud

Both Meaning of Us and meaning of Love are very common song titles. I assure you that Ayu doesn't care one bit about GaGa and Amuro and that she most likely doesn't have an idea of what they're songs are titled, especially considering Telephone got banned from many TV stations. So will people please stop the GaGa crap already, it's getting annoying as it's uncalled for and totally out of the place. Use your brains, those are very common words/lines and you don't need to copy anyone in order to come up with the term that everyone is familiar with ^^ Did you ever think that GaGa might've stole poker face from Ayu?

TheBaronAndAyu 17th March 2010 11:46 AM

fdhtreuytresdjtehudytjtracklist.

And it is quite a good one. Dunno if it's her best, but good.

Happy about the fact that there is 15 songs, with 3 interludes. An improvement on NL!
Also happy that RED LINE is on there! I'm I the only one? I actually liked that song. It seems also that it's a new version.
As for the new songs, kinda generic but okay. Is it just me or did anyone else think of Napoleon Dynamite when they read Lady Dynamite? I sure did :roflmao
Overall, excited. :D

kiseki89 17th March 2010 11:52 AM

omg! i cant believe there's actually RED LINE ~for TA~ [album version]!!!
